They like to play with their food too, sometimes throwing it or bopping it around before it dies, so its reasonable that they'd be "practicing" the same behaviors on other cats/kittens/the dog or even you! Though, they're probably not intending on eating you... i hope.
I have many years in cat care and never allowed a cat to kill anything...but when they got a mouse or something without my permission, I NEVER saw them lick it.
The vid is not viral because of that stupid TH-cam algorithm which makes every stupid video viral like force feeding. It tried the same tactic with me and I started blocking those channels. After I blocked thousands of channels, it finally understood that I am not the person without brain. Now, it shows me what I want, that is animals and tech.

She is such a beautiful cat!! You're very fortunate:) I think she thinks the bear is her baby like the woman in the video said and I think when Mimi grooms herself, she's teaching her "baby" how to groom itself.
The bear is her little friend, I have several cats and this is something they do to each other. They are a pack, it is a social thing for them. She is so precious 😍💖💖💖 she doesn't have another cat so the bear is her friend. 💖💖💕💚💛💜

General attachment theory. Reason as to why the cat is licking a bear-like looking inanimate toy. It would seek comfort even if the bear wasn't fluffy. In fact, it would hug a bear made from metal shards when experiencing extreme fear.
