- So there are SO many skins in Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled. But some of them take FOREVER to unlock. So how can we unlock these amazing CTR skins in a short amount of time? Let's get into it!

So Some of the codes are seemingly not correct (my apologizes this was a communication error) so Here is a clear defined list of the codes required.
Infinite Wumpa Fruit - All Platforms: Down, Right, Right, Down, Down
Infinite Masks:
PS4: Left, Triangle, Right, Left, O, Right, Down, Down
XBO: Left, Y, Right, Left, B, Right, Down, Down
Switch: Left, X, Right, Left, B, Right, Down, Down
Super Turbo Pads:
PS4: Triangle, Right, Right, O, Left
XBO: Y, Right, Right, B, Left
Switch: X, Right, Right, B, Left
Super Engine:
PS4: Up, Up, Left, Right, Triangle, Down, Right, Down
XBO: Up, Up, Left, Right, Y, Down, Right, Down
Switch: Up, Up, Left, Right, X, Down, Right, Down
1 Lap races:
PS4: Down, Up, Down, Down, Right, Up, Down, Right, Triangle, Down
XBO: Down, Up, Down, Down, Right, Up, Down, Right, Y, Down

I have noticed that you activate the Super Engine before the race starts. Thats actually a wrong way to do since the Super Engine activates itself automatically once the race begins, thus giving you a permanent boost of speed. Its a minor mistake that is easy to oversee.

No shame. I've been using the daily cup challenges to unlock skins for the GP characters

Unfortunally, it was patched in the last update for spyro =(
So that's why I couldn't unlock the new skins faster! I would apply the codes and then do the one-lap races.
That is very unfortunate. I don't understand why they would patch that out. 🤔

I applied the cheat code before the patch and got some skins, going around the track within a lap.. but now you can’t, oh well..

You cant get skins with coins. Just the pit stop stuff. This video is for the regular color swap skins.

What I meant, I used characters that have skins unlocked via wins to grind for coins, so these wins also go towards unlocking these skins. Killing two birds with one stone.
Cheats doesnt work on the time trials?
The super engine trick activates on its own when the race starts and then the infinite mask will take place. Using it before the green light will only make it last for a short time.

Press "B" instead of "A" for the switch codes. I think he accidentally messed the switch codes up

Well I tried the second code, and it actually worked, for my switch anyway, and I almost panicked it was permanent,but it only works only once a day, I’m kind glad, I do wanna go fast, but sometimes, it’s best to do things the regular way, so?,

Other methods
If you want to grind coins and unlock skins
Yellow Gem cup (nitro fueled mode) or Nitro Cup give out the most coins
If you want to grind skins and learn the tracks
Either set up a private lobby during wumpa time, or play each cup more than once. Learning the track will help you on tackling those tropy and oxide ghosts.
these two methods may be slower but they can help with knocking two birds out with one stone.
Useful for getting skins on all of those Turn Class characters I will never use outside of Nitro challenges.

I really wish I knew about this sooner! Cause it took me forever to unlock all the different skins. I had to keep doing all the different cups over and over again.
When I activated the cheat codes for the Nintendo switch the game stopped counting my wins. Has anyone else had this problem?
These are the skins Beenox added by being lazy. Nobody wants recolours of all characters, the only skins that are good are the gold ones. They built the system for Microtransactions from the start.
Some of those skins are cool like Norm's skins
I mean if you say so but to me they're just color swaps made with Adobe.

All pointless (who asked for a purple haired Cortex?). I'd much rather only see good suits for example: normal crash, swimsuit crash, biker crash, space suit crash (from crash 2). Instead of bad ones like: blue crash, green crash, yellow crash. The bad suits are unlocked by playing the game while the good suits are locked behind a paywall. Beenox planned the micro transactions from the start, no use in blaming only Activision.

Actually, if you activate the Super Turbo AFTER the green light and THEN use the masks, you'll go even faster.

Good way to practice u-turns and air brakes
Even though this trick doesn't work anymore another way is to just race with a friend in private match online over and over again and win to unlock the skins you need well that is how I do it now
How to unlock electric crash, electric cortex and electric coco skins? As well as sitter crash, coco and cortex plz
How do u jump for 1 meters tho
I assumed that it meant a jump like Electron Avenue's or something. But it didn't work for me.
There's also one that says to complete Hyper Spaceway without turbo pads?! HOW?! That level is LITTERED with turbo pads!

I didn’t think about cheats, well at least I got some coins for my hundreds of Jungle Boogie runs. I just unlocked my last skin a few days ago.
lol, that's exactly what I did. It was nice getting the coins in addition to unlocking the skins. And you can do that mindlessly while listening to podcasts or youtube videos and stuff. Plus, now I don't lose on Jungle Boogie in online races...

All those doesnt work on 2021 updates, if cheat activated you cannot unlock everything till cheat deactivated
I hope they put Banjo Kazooie or Ratchet and Clank in there and put skins in there
I literally just finished unlocking all colorations YESTERDAY, man! Everyone except Tropy cuz I haven't unlocked him.
i went so fast on a jump boost, i nearly broke the space time barrier of the Track.
I'm not really a fan of grinding to unlock achievements since it sucks out the fun of the game, but this isn't too bad I suppose.
i just did one lap code on jungle boogie over and over and over again, i unlocked every costume aside of the pit stop ones.
i'm collecting coins for future characters and karts, then when the gran prix are no more i buy everything else, without spending a cent of course.
How do you turn off the code though

Alternative way : Race coco park a lot
The only code that is not frowned upon is the one for the hidden character

i never cheated on this game and get skins legit by finishing cortex castle 3 laps straight and it takes me 1 hour overall to get every character skin individually
I love cheat codes. (At the right time of course)
what he didnt mention is that with this method, you dont get coins.... so since people probably want those "legendary" skins way more, than the colour swap and those take way more time to unlock, the fastest method to unlock ALL the skins is to just play the game for fun and switch characters from time to time....
You could just put everyone on easy and repeat Crash Cove.
I'm unlocking the recolors with the "On to the Next One" challenge everyday. Just Big Norm, Velo, Nash, Geary and the babies to go.

It gets added through updates, if you just got the game there's already loads of post release content in there for you
this video tells like real fans that play the game a lot that figured this out them self tells them nothing they wouldn't already know

This is a fun idea but grinding the skins is more content for the game. I got everything through playing since I absolutely just love to race 😅

@@Spacelozzy264 Nope, all challenges and achievements are disabled. You'll have to earn it legit.
@@Karloss00 Could you get all the relics but one and then remove the cheats? Then get the last one and still earn the trophy?
I have all the skins minus the legendary skins. But I usually just do things the old fashion way as it does make the races more fun and more getting used to using a different type of class character
The pit stop items are overpriced. 2500 coins for skins and wheels? It should be 1500 for that as well

Do the cheat codes disable trophies & coin collection permanently or do they become available again after turning the game off for that session?
You can just start adventure mode. The game then gives you a pop-up that tells you that you have to deactivate cheat codes if you want to play adventure mode and asks you if you want that. After this you can quit back to the main menu and all cheats are deactivated and trophies work again. (Restarting the game also works of course.)
Try Jungle Boogie with a Speed character, I did the Reverse Speeding pro challenge there with plenty of time to spare.
When it deactivates trophies, does it activate them after reset?

Nick ploos, you cant get them all with coins. You have to win a certain amount of races to unlock the majority of the skins

Not sure if anyone said it yet, but 2:16 you put in the PS4 up buttons on screen by mistake
It turns out he got the Cheat code 4. the switch version wrong. It's supposed to be left , X , right , left , B , Right , Down and Down. This is for the infinite masks. Also for any other Cheat code , use the B button instead of the A button.
I think the game developers must've use the cheat while doing Velo's & their own time trails, that's why I can't even beat their time trails.
I feel some people cheats online in this game because I got used to the controls and the tricks just yesterday, then started playing online this morning before work. God let me tell you…. Some of people I met just went through the whole course under 1 minute. Not leaving enough time for some people to catch up.

using cheats makes me feel dirty, i wish it was optional and who knows if cheats have any draw backs like disabling nitro or something while its on. but lets think, cocopark 1 minute 50 seconds total for 32 coins (use to be 86 before they patched it) vs around amounts of 360 to 180 by racing online.
Meh but the cheat codes on CTR are made only to have a fun time, they don't break the game at all, it disables all trophies and wumpa coins you earn when the cheat is on, and it deactivates the moment you enter Adventure or Time Trial
Beware that using too many cheat codes may cause crashes and possible corrupt data, so better safe to create a backup before using them, just in case

Could you pull off these speed boosts for time trials and then disable the cheats for just the last one and get the trophy?
Its fun but that so many coins you lose out on. Been doing Daily Cup Challenges with GP characters to get more skins. I got a healthy amount of them. Gonna work on both Platinum Relics and skins today since Im off and I did the dailies last night

you have to go into another mode and quit that mode like he did (go to local race and go back to menu)

I managed to buy everything from the shop and the only 2 things that are still locked are Fake Ptero head and one more that I forgot now...
(Besides the Tawna Paint that was impossible to unlock in the previous GP.... thank you beenox) ...and it perplexes me why......

I just activate cheats and grind coco park. Its MUCH faster and shorter.
It's actually better than any other track, trading a couple of seconds for the option to actually follow something, like a sitcom or a movie in a second monitor [got my pc near the ps4], make the sensation of time being faster.
