I honestly think the issue with the Cubs is depression and injuries. They started off extremely hot and then people started to get injured. I think now players are trying to play through minor injuries but with everyone being cold, they don’t have the confidence they can do things correctly which causes them to do exactly that. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are front office issues contributing too. I think if the Cubs get a superstar like Pete Alonso who could crank out home runs regardless of how the rest of the team is playing the team would start to heat up again. Everyone would feel like they could win again and the confidence would come back. Then it wouldn’t matter if the bullpen gives up a couple runs because they are putting up runs themselves.
Very good analogy @nicholascampbell7334 Craig can bring them around, it will take a little time though. Like you stated get a bomber like Alonso or others it's very likely they will turn the page and start putting up the numbers. You must be a die hard sports fan. Will be looking for more of your analogies and or posts and comments.
For sure the injuries are apart physically and mentally. They also need to sign Bauer.
@@essernobles1053 thanks for the kind words but don’t give me too much credit because they basically said the same thing in the video. It’s just been something I’ve been thinking for weeks and you can see it on their faces all the time. Just wanted to add my little contribution to it.
@@johnbreuwet6224 considering they signed Lopez not long after his tirade I’m surprised they haven’t signed Bauer yet.
Every team has injuries. Not every team becomes “depressed” by them. Weak mentality
Bad look for Counsell that Milwaukee is the same without him and cubs are way worse than last yr
Same record as this time last year what are you talking about
@@timhanner23 go watch some games this teams fried and it’s July 2nd
@@MRoss623 we all said same thing last year, the division is just better than last year, this isn’t Counsells fault
Huge Cub fan...but respect AJ for being who he is.
🤨 Yeah an 🍑hole
Good insight from Jesse
First off I’m not impressed with Council the team he left is 15 games over 500. They are the worst situational hitting team in the NL. He keeps running the same guys out there every day regardless of how they play. Steele was correct these guys are just mailing it in.
Council needs to put his foot in some bodies ass; this team doesn’t have a 280 hitter let alone a 300 hitter.
The cubs real issue is they looked at last season like they fucking won something and they didnt. We didnt make any real significant moves this offseason thinking that last season was a success but if anyone remembers we straight up collapsed. It also doesnt help when you go into the season with Adbert Alzolay as your closer and he has 5 blown saves within the 1st 30 games. This team is who they are. The sample size is big enough to show you that we lack any real slug and we have a lineup 1-9 full of holes and streaky hitters. I mean we're the Chicago Cubs for godsake but Jed Hoyer wants to play it like we're the brewers or the Reds and not really spend the money that we have. That's the truth
AJ's attitude towards the Cubs reporter was pretty unprofessional, but then again, this is AJ we’re talking about. Unprofessionalism is the expectation.
AJ is AJ.
GO AJ! White Sox fan to his core! Love it!
Go SOX!!!!! 😫😫😫
What’s your record again?
@@alcostello6114 what’s yours ? Last place like us?
No mention of Rogers' predictions.
Cubs have been underwhelming but After all of that parade route planning and running their mouths for 5 years White Sox fan’s World Series remains the Cubs struggling lol
Speak English.
Send the veterans who aren’t hitting down to Iowa and bring up the farm. Why not?
Biggest payroll in the division with the highest paid manager in the game all for LAST place. Love it. Fly that L Cubbies.
No one’s flying the L as much as the sox have after all of those parades they planned
I think Cody Bellinger deserves any 💩 he’s getting. He thought he could steal $16M from the Dodgers with .100’s BA, no effort and STILL go to the playoffs every year.
He came back too soon from 2 fractured ribs making a great catch. Cubs' mismanagement of injured players has been a problem.
Bullpen is way worse than the offense for the cubs Jesse. That's why they are where they are. Offense has underperformers yes but no where near as bad as the bullpen overall
Haven't you figured it out yet? Your coach is still a Brewer!
Brewers are happy he is gone.
@@rich873 fans are still a little twisted about it. The organization has gotta be happy they saved millions and their winning.
Go Brewers Cubs Suck
GO WHITE SOX AJ!!!!!!!! 😫😫😫
AJ laughing over the Cubs, yet his White Sox are THE worst team in all of baseball.
😂
That’s pretty much the white sox fans in a nutshell, constantly talking shit while their team is in the dumpster
Misery loves company
Hard to remember a more unlikable and unwatchable team than these Cubs. Sox are rebuilding and at least they are competing now.

Taillon, Cody, smyly, Hendricks need to go based on salary to return
Bote is on 5 m and he’s not even
Contributing
If you got rid of them you have freed up 75 mil
You could get a superstar 3b and a top catcher
Without really subtracting from the team
Hilarious to see this 🤡 actually criticize the Cubs instead of being the huge Homer he usually is
. He probably cried himself to sleep afterwards
These guys just rehash stuff we already know. Any fan knows this. All these podcasts are the same.
