Wow just wonderful to see how Bangkok is getting transformed. I live in the UK and this is my second trip but I got the bug from the first time I came to Thailand and within 2 weeks I fell in love with Bangkok so much that I'm packing my bags for good and coming over and live with my Thai girlfriend. I can't wait to get here for good. Keep up the good work and god bless you .

The work going on at ONE Bangkok is the earth and ground preparation works, they are Piering the site, thats what all the concrete is for, the piers most likely go down hundreds of feet into the ground to hold up the future tower, plus they will excavate the underground parking too, this ground work might take several years since the project is so massive in scale, true Mega Project.

I think Thailand sees it self as the next Singapore....Thailand has a massive potential to become a big player on the global economical playing field...It has a high population of young people with a high degree of education, speaking the English language is actively encouraged, It has a robust transport infrastructure that is being expanded upon, the country is internationally serviced by all major airlines, the country is in good relations with other powerful countries, one of the best in leisure and entertainment go-to places in the world. If Thailand makes it easy for foreigners to retire plus owning properties within the country, Thailand could be the next world best retirement place. The on-going fight over the lack of true democracy and the role and power the Thai monarchy has over it's citizen all counts against Thailand progressing forward....and, those in charge needs to be awarded when things are good and accountable when things goes wrong...No more propaganda. More truth and freedom...!

Air quality is a major factor in Thailand’s living situation. Chiang Mai, one of if not thee most attractive place for expats, is practically unlivable for months of the year with burning season. Thailand will have to address this for Thailand to be on more foreigner’s radar for places to retire (not to mention their own citizens’ quality of life). Property ownership laws keep foreigners from truly owning land. Quite frankly, I hope Thailand isn’t flooded with retired expats but it doesn’t seem like Thailand is bending over to cater to retirees.

As the LC engineer on the Bangkok integrated road and rail project in the late 1980's, on both MRT and BTS projects from 1988 and several major building projects on Sukhumvit during the 1990's BTS and MRT are the only finished projects the others all abandoned through a lack of funding. Looking for foreign investment is pie in the sky as certainly the Thai do have those sorts of funds so don't hold your breath. .

@@PetrCharousek Yes, it seems to have been canceled. The sight itself looks to be ready for construction, but I don't think the super tower will not be built there.

@@PetrCharousek on-hold..... indefinitely.l😓 It's very clear at this point that they've completely abandoned it and about the Bangkok Tower. That was an idea floated by the government, not of the private sector, they could still build it, if they so choose, but. I doubt they will. With everything that's going on, for the government to waste huge amount of money on a tourist attraction like that, it just won't be happening.

is One Bangkok going to be accessible by public transport? Looks like they will be cannibalizing the views from each other. Buy a place in the first building and then have it taken away by the one they build right next to it. How many years until Bangkok is under water?
