    Hi Rodney, i want your take on the Indian house ABABEL. They are very new, and claim to have 40% concentration, 50 ml for 1K. They have 5 fragrances, and a discovery set with 10ml of all for again 1k. I would love your take on them.

    I simply cannot imagine why anyone would care about the outward presentation of the bottles. It seems so inconsequential. All that matters is the juice. If someone has entered into your toom far enough to see your fragrances, they're either not going to be bothered by how the bottles look, or they're intruding into your personal space. And if the person who bought the fragrance cares about the bottle, they should surely hope that the company or artisan scrimps on the bottle and puts all the money into making sure the juice is of the highest quality while offering you a saving. I would happily take trash packaging for superior quality juice at a bargain price, as I'm sure would any hard working individual buying fragrances with their hard earned money.

      Agreed. I don't really care about presentation myself, as long as its not so cheap where it compromises the actual bottle in transport. I would rather them reallocate funds to making juice of higher quality with better oils, etc. I typically just toss the box after anyways. You buy the frag for the scent after all not the box. I would rather see lower pricing and higher quality juice rather than have funds towards a box. I will say nice packaging does make for a nicer gift option though. Let the guys who spend copious amounts of money on niche get their fancy boxes, clones should be about efficiency and best bang for buck where it matters (in this case the scent being a perfume), at least in my opinion.

    Good one Rodney, it is a tough question to answer and no 1 size fits all approach works.
    Very well explained that ME brands have scale and economies of scale and can flood the market with perfumes at a relatively lower price range whereas Indian Houses dont have that option, i too had this grouse however with time i understand it now.
    Imo The expectations from Indian houses has increased because when most started they were in sub 400 to 500 Rs and have gradually doubled or more in price whereas ME brands are more or less retailing for similar price range .
    The exception being Armaff who tripled or quadrupled their prices in last 3 to 5 years. I remember buying CDIM for ~1400 and now it more than double :) without much difference in quality.
    I have tried a few clone houses and many are a hit or miss with more misses than hits, maybe its because i dont know how it should smell or i have high expectations and it doesnt meet my expectations.

    I am writing this comment before watching the entire video. I will say that it all depends on the specific frag. But, in general, as per my experience, affordable middle house , that is 1.5k for 100ml stuff are generally worse when compared to premium indian clone houses. If u consider middle eastern brands like rasasi, Swiss Arabian, armaf, afnan they are more vfm definitely. Indian alt houses I feel are overpriced in the name of quality, tacky presentations, quality issues that comes with diff batches, and most importantly safety aspects; we donot know what Indian alt houses are putting into their products while we can be at peace mentally when we use genuine me brands. Personally I donot look for closeness in an alt it's an absurd expectation in my opinion, I mostly look for the entire product experience which me Brands offers I feel. While there are really few good Indian alt houses which are really vfm while there are also some houses which are just overhyped by the people.

      Hey man , the whole video was a discussion about pros and cons about both! Most people also like Indian houses for the juice quality, personal connect and so on! Ahmed Al Maghribi is an exceptional even when you consider only Middle Eastern brands ❤️

    • @gems8167
      @gems8167 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No problem bro I enjoy the discussion but bro european houses have run the game and middle eastern houses are destroying them and you are claiming indian houses have better juices. Thats controversial to say the least bro😅
      Also Ahmed was exceptional in the past but theyre the leading GCC perfume house now so theyre setting the standard. Think about it middle eastern houses dont even make edt anymore😅 ahmed perfume is 30% and above. I have some thatre 45% and amazing quality for only $50 who can compete?😂
      Also you make it seem like all the other houses are weak or alcohol blasts as you say lets be clear Lattafa isnt weak and cheap there is a reason why number one on fragrantica for a long time is Khamrah by Lattafa. Lattafa and Ahmed al Maghribi have destroyed the competition. I understand your bias and maybe you have local brands that arent in the West thatre somehow the best of the best but I cant imagine any indian brand competing with Amouage Arabian Oud or Ahmed al Maghribi for the matter.

      Bro , let me clear something. I’m not definitely not saying that Indian houses have better juice. I’m just distinguishing that at a higher price point of 3k -4k it’s almost equal, Indian houses aren’t vfm that’s all.
      It’s just the lower end of ME frags and even Indian houses have alcohol blast.

      @@ThePerfumeExperience_English Exactly bhai people don't take into consideration the price of the fragrances. Even with 6-7k designers like YSL Y. You can get premium clones from likes of scentedelic below 2.5k. Both 100mls. That's like less than half. Also relatively expensive clones from top Indian houses of premium niche perfumes absolutely do not leave out expensive notes. I have alts of Roja, Amouage, Penhaligon's and original both and they are anywhere from 80-90 % similar at a fraction of price.
      I don't know how anybody in their right mind can say otherwise.
      I'll even give examples... Al Maham's.. Roja Burlington, Penhaligon's Halfeti, SOD Meydan, Amouage Overture and Royal Tobacco. Scent-Rix Ganymede. Scentedelic Amouage Reflection and Penhaligon's Sartorial. All of these originals range from 15k to 25-30k in grey market, even more expensive in retail. And their clones would cost less than 4k for 100 ml. Now call me a moron bot I don't see how decants of originals are a better option. People should really explore before forming premature opinions.
