Only thing I would advice here is to get rid of the foam and get some broadband pannels and some bass traps if possible, its simply better, you will have more control over your bass, it wont fly around like it does right now for sure, also your stereo image will get more centered and there will be less reverb floating around the room, I think you know it, but still, if I was you, two pannels on left wall, two on right wall, cover all 4 vertical corners and maybe one cloud would make huge difference, but still cool cosy studio, keep rocking Jay
I own a pair of Genelecs 8040 and I've also worked with the Adams A7 like yours. The Adams lack a bit of low end compared to the Genelecs, but mid to high frequencies are very similar for both speakers. Maybe just get a sub for your Adams, or if your really want to go the Genelec way, get The Ones that have better low end.
DAAAANG! It's been a while Jay Hardway! I'm glad I saw you in 2018 in Academy LA. So glad you are making content. I gotta return to creating my own content for the edm world on my style and I need to start learning music production. I'm just learning the basics of Ableton 10 Live. Oh and the PreSonus E3.5 Speakers are what I use when I mix on the decks for my social shenanigans. We all gotta start somewhere with what we got.
can you make a list of links of everything in your studio? And are your decks a cdj xdj xz? I have the denon prime 4 it was a gift but I would rather practice with pioneer since it is the standard… love the studio! :)
Krk Rokits gone? You said that was for reference and A7X for production? If you put diffusser panels be left and right on the reflection points more good? I like my small genelecs but if i have enough money, maybe i want to have a studio like master Ummet Ozcan. Thanks for the video 👍
Hi Jay hope you’re doing well, it’s just my opinion but I think you should stick with your own speakers, and not move to Genelecs, as a Mixing Engineer and as a fan I really like your songs, they sound in order and ur songs are Low to high balanced and sound good on most speakers 👌🏻 also Adams are great and after 4 years your ears perfected them, also have in mind no matter what other people say and how good the acoustics are it will take around 5 to 6 months for you to master your new pair of speakers and for your ears to adapt.
Those Adam monitors are such a fake, thought Jay with his big success would buy smth like Genelec 8051/Focal SM9/Event Opal/ATC(( But if you like listening to fake hi freq, like with exciter and that saying WTF when you turn your music elsewhare...
I thought the same when he said that. Now he owns more expensive graphic card which is useless mostly and the money should've been utilized in RAM, Processor and Nvme

Agreed! Thanks for the advice 🙏🙏
Wow Jay
the wood desk is so stylish and makes some elegance! yesss
Juno!!! Don’t hear that one a lot in your productions, but what a great synth to have!
Such a warm place to create music, I just moved to England for studying music, hope one day I can settle in a place like this!
The real question is... where is the golden pineapple?
Hahaha
But...where is the electric elephants?
foam ?

I was waiting the whole video for you to talk about your chair haha. Looks so comfortable and I'm currently looking for a new one. Which one is that?
Love the intro sound effect :) / Also that's a Spanish guitar not acoustic haha

Thank you so much 🙏 I won't buy second monitor for reference but maybe need sub, thanks

One thing you didn't show the project you're working on 😉
Jay, what brand of headphones do you use?

Announcing the winners sooooon!

What an intro
ikrr did nobody else catch that?? LOL
Discontinued but... you should look into:
egg munro 150
They're probably the BEST monitors i've worked with.. even over my Barefoots.

💯💯💯👍👍👍
Are you going to make your own record like STMPD, Mixmash, Dim Mak, etc for example?
👌
Nice studio but get or make acoustic panels and better bass traps, and take that foam off your walls for a better sounding room. Thank me later!

DON'T switch to Genelec. Adam is A LOT cleaner. I'd say upgrade to the A8H's
Too late I'm afraid haha! But love the new genelecs!
@@JayHardway reason that I said it was cause I switched from the Genelec 8040s to the A77H and the sound, especially in the highs is a lot less harsh
he looks like he could be armin van buuren's son

U bought a plastic plant because u like nature😭🤣🤣😂
Sorry, I don’t want to sound like an a$$ but you’re a producer and don’t know about the specs from your PC???!

Yup
