I can only guess that after all he went through, he imagined that if others in his position did as he did, they would succeed as well. It's a classic example of someone who imagines that anyone can do what he did. He is blinded by the notion that he worked hard and if others work hard they too will accomplish great things as he has. He is blind to his own luck. He is blind to the racism that continues to affect his carre and lufe tragectory.
Oh so he is a genius but a jerk. Got it. I like how people try to make it seem like this movie was so motivational yet i wouldnt want to personally show my son a movie that teaches him he can abuse me and others as long as he is smart and successful. My sons are younger than he was shown here and they know not to pick up a hammer to hit someone with let alone not to stab someone... but we just gone over look all of that cause he became a doctor. Its a hell no for me.
