Saint Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of animals, merchants and ecology, is one of the patron saints of Italy and is a very popular saint in the Catholic Church. He was particularly well known for his love of animals and nature. ✝️

What is Saint Francis of Assisi known for?
Many people believe that nobody has ever imitated the work of Christ as well as Francis did. There are many stories about him speaking to animals. 🕊
Legend has it that he once saved a village from a wolf which was attacking the locals. He is believed to have communicated with the wolf, explaining that the locals would feed it if the wolf stopped attacking the people. 🐺
