This original Museum-produced film shares a story of the Kindertransport told through the personal testimonies of siblings Magie Furst and Bert Romberg.
My dear friend born 1930 in Dusseldorf.Was deported with her mother Celia and her little brother Hans Dieter October 1938,to Poland.A year later her mother could find her a place on a kindertransport that took her and many other children but not thier families to London by sea from Poland.There was no place for Hans Dieter who there for hD to stay behind with his mum and her relatives in Poland.The germans murdered all of them.This left Isabel after the war the only member of her family still alive.Isabel was eight when she sailed on that kindertransport to London,spoke and wrote no English then.But of course had to learn it quickly and did.She was made to forget her german language because we were in Britain naturally at war with nazi Germany.

My school friend came to England on that.
