Yes ours is disgusting because the chicken food/seed, recycle, chicken pen boots, etc is. We also have a injured Chicken recovering in a crate in there

It makes me laugh that there are 3 types of well made washing baskets in a STUFF PACK! but in a expansion all about cats and dogs there are only 2 pet beds 😂
gra 1489 lmao for real, it’s annoying I got the cats and dogs, and packs are a rare thing for me , money wise- but I mostly got it to add a Pomeranian and husky to my sim-self and am upset cause there is a tiny bed, and a HUGE bed, so all medium and up doggos of mine end up on the couch
I love how much effort they put into this, especially that this is probably (imho) the most detailed and generous pack that we have in the sims 4. I would also love if we could keep being able to get input in what new content is being released, and deli you are not the only one that notices the hairyness / fuzz on details and decals 💕
A mudroom is either a back porch esk area or a room for after you are done playing outside so that way all the dirty stuff doesn't get tracked through the house, its also an area for winter coats, some mudrooms however are converted into dens, which is an extra space to chill in or in my case escape to if there is a party.

A mud room is like a side entrance or entrance coming in from a garage. Some houses have big sinks to wash off dirty clothes or boots and also some contain laundry machines. It's basically a "catch all" room for kids backpacks, shoes, coats, etc.

I only voted for one of each item type in the survey but somehow some of the items ended up being voted in with multiples. Like 2 sinks, 3 different cabinet things and side tables....3 different shelves. I feel like while they are really nice items some are redundant and we could have had a few more of the other items (especially lamps and other decor items I thought were better) instead. Also, cant remember if you showed the window, but we have a new window as well!

It can be the back room or the front room. The term mud room isn’t used that much anymore, but it is for a place to wipe off your feet on a rug or to take off your shoes. My mud room is in the back and we combined it with our laundry room. I hope this helps!

I'm from Australia and I have a mud room!! It's near the laundry it like where you put all your shoes and raincoats and things like that that's be muddy I guess. I do live on a farm though Hahaha

It's called a mud room because you generally think of it as a place to drop off your coats, dirty boots/shoes, etc. The reason it's in this pack is because mud rooms are often a combined space with laundry rooms in a lot of American houses! Hi!! Great video Deli!! I live in the US and we have a main entrance from the front door. But we also have something called a mudroom. That is a secondary entrance. It can be from the side, back or garage door. Basically all of the dirty stuff like muddy or wet shoes or dog stuff goes in there. That way the entrance doesn't get dirty and guests won't see a bunch of stuff everywhere :)

Our “mud room” in our house was in the entrance to the house. It’s snowy 6-9 months of the year here (-10 Fahrenheit here). Our mud room didn’t really have seating or anything but we used it as an office area. Our washer and dryer were in the bathroom which was the only bathroom and the size of a typical bedroom. In other homes the laundry has been in a small closet, in a utility/laundry room, in a hallway, or inset into the wall near the kitchen, tucked in a corner.

smol bean I suggest you get this because bowling is a nice thing to have your Sims do every now and then but not much beyond that. You do get this cute pair of skinny jeans in it which I use too much so if you're a CAS type of player you may like the clothing and hairs from it. It's the same with vintage glamour there are really cute CAS items but the Butler (I should say MY Butler) became annoying after awhile because he wouldn't sleep when my Sims slept (probably because I made the mistake of hiring him at night) so I couldn't auto speed through the nights. But those are nitpicking things. Overall I enjoy both packs so either are a very good choice but I say get this because it's new and flashy and hope that you can catch those other packs on sale. 😊
Thanks for the advice! Yea I don’t really think I would use the bowling aspect of it. But I would definitely use the laundry aspect, I do care more about cas and buy items than anything else haha, and the laundry seems to have the best of both
Deli I know you don't like CC but if you look up recolors for kitchen cabinets and counters you will get so many new options! Also some CC creators have separated the beds and frames from the game so you can mix and match all the beds! I use them all the time and don't know what I would do without the options of mixing and matching! The other thing that CC creators do is separate the items you say you wish were separate! It gives so many more options!
Where i am in the US, a mudroom is like the entry near the back door or garage, and it’s usually kinda near where a laundry room would be. Sometimes they’re the same room or area of the house, but they’re generally not in the front where guests would be because they’re just full of cleaning stuff (at least in my experience lol)

The decor style really compliments the Cats & Dogs decor. As a builder I love the idea of a washer/dryer. But the affects having those in your home of having to actually do laundry make me know I would never have a laundry room in my houses I play and that is kinda sad because I was excited for the building opportunities. Wish I had participated in voting because this would not have been my first choice. Thanks for always showing off the packs, that always makes a purchase decision easier. I have almost no stuff packs so I think I would invest in other stuff packs and game packs first.
I feel like mudroom is more for people with kids/dogs and they have an entrance area where people may take their dirty boots off. The nicer entrances (like the ones in older nicer houses) are called vestibules.

The items grouped together I think are better for the newer players or non-builders, because it looks good without much effort and part of the sims team's job is to design those and combine them too (like the bucket under the sink). But I get how you would like the items to be separate, since you play the sims so much and it would allow for more versatile furnishing if they weren't grouped. I think it would be cool if we had a new furniture category called stacked items (like the washing machine and dryer, also the signs from dine out) and have compositions of existing objects in there with the option to remove/recolor or move some of them as well :)

Deli, a mud room in America is usually off a secondary entrance (like an attached garage or side door generally). It's called a mud room because you generally think of it as a place to drop off your coats, dirty boots/shoes, etc. The reason it's in this pack is because mud rooms are often a combined space with laundry rooms in a lot of American houses! mud rooms are used more for storage and organization of gear or clothing for cooler weather climates (boots, coats, etc)! a foyer is more of a “formal” entrance place in the american home but sometimes if you have a big family or you are really active, a mud room can act aa both an entrance room and a mud room space. typically though, mudrooms are off of a garage or at the back of the home depending on the layout and needs! sometimes laundry is included in the mudroom, sometimes in a separate room or even sometimes in a small closet ! hope that helps!!
Entrance rooms at the front of the house in America are called a foyer, whereas a mudroom is more like through a backdoor, usually with or near the laundry room. It's used to keep messes out of the nice front entrance area, when you come back in from the mud, rain, snow, whatever messes you get into, you can easily leave your dirty shoes and jackets, etc. It's proximity to the laundry room also helps keep messes contained. A mudroom is usually at the back of the house or sometimes at the front as a closed in porch, where you kick off your muddy boots before entering the house. Mudrooms are found mostly in the North or the snowy areas of the US because of all of the snow and mud from melting snow and possibly rainy areas.
Entrance room can also function as a mud room, but they can be separate. An entrance room is literally the room you enter into the house generally at the front. A mud room can be off the garage, on the side or in the front of a house, that's where you take off your muddy boots/shoes and coats to keep the rest of the house clean.
In my house growing up the mudroom was the back entrance like off the garage. It's where you "knock the mud off your shoes" or take your shoes off to make sure you don't track mud through the house!

Hi!! Great video Deli!! I live in the US and we have a main entrance from the front door. But we also have something called a mudroom. That is a secondary entrance. It can be from the side, back or garage door. Basically all of the dirty stuff like muddy or wet shoes or dog stuff goes in there. That way the entrance doesn't get dirty and guests won't see a bunch of stuff everywhere :)

A "mudroom" is really only a phrase used on the east coast of America. I live on the west coast and we just say "entryway" or "hallway", but my grandma who is from the east coast calls it a "mudroom." It's just a regional phrase, hope this helps!

Our “mud room” in our house was in the entrance to the house. It’s snowy 6-9 months of the year here (-10 Fahrenheit here). Our mud room didn’t really have seating or anything but we used it as an office area. Our washer and dryer were in the bathroom which was the only bathroom and the size of a typical bedroom.
In other homes the laundry has been in a small closet, in a utility/laundry room, in a hallway, or inset into the wall near the kitchen, tucked in a corner.

Yes there is such thing as a Mud Room, that’s what we usually call our entry rooms in Canada and the US. In Canada, I usually see them in very small entryways and in a room when you enter from a garage, where there’s is usually the washing machine, some very similar shelving units etc...

Sometimes these are combined, so the "mud room" would refer to an entry way room, often in the back of the house, that also functions as a laundry room.
The meaning is dependent a lot on the part of the US you are talking with, and some places view the term as interchangable and will explicitly explain what kind of "mud room" they are referring to.

smol bean I’d say yes, it’s something you’re more likely to use in everyday gameplay.
smol bean I suggest you get this because bowling is a nice thing to have your Sims do every now and then but not much beyond that. You do get this cute pair of skinny jeans in it which I use too much so if you're a CAS type of player you may like the clothing and hairs from it. It's the same with vintage glamour there are really cute CAS items but the Butler (I should say MY Butler) became annoying after awhile because he wouldn't sleep when my Sims slept (probably because I made the mistake of hiring him at night) so I couldn't auto speed through the nights. But those are nitpicking things. Overall I enjoy both packs so either are a very good choice but I say get this because it's new and flashy and hope that you can catch those other packs on sale. 😊
Thanks for the advice! Yea I don’t really think I would use the bowling aspect of it. But I would definitely use the laundry aspect, I do care more about cas and buy items than anything else haha, and the laundry seems to have the best of both
Then it only depends on your aesthetic. The all have very different style of objets, if dépend what style to to you feel you ll go back to more often

Deli I know you don't like CC but if you look up recolors for kitchen cabinets and counters you will get so many new options! Also some CC creators have separated the beds and frames from the game so you can mix and match all the beds! I use them all the time and don't know what I would do without the options of mixing and matching! The other thing that CC creators do is separate the items you say you wish were separate! It gives so many more options!

Sometimes they’re the same room or area of the house, but they’re generally not in the front where guests would be because they’re just full of cleaning stuff (at least in my experience lol)
Our entry rooms are usually referred to as entry ways, and the entrance from the garage some sometimes has a small room attached to it for shoes coats umbrellas, and we call that a mud room.

The decor style really compliments the Cats & Dogs decor. As a builder I love the idea of a washer/dryer. But the affects having those in your home of having to actually do laundry make me know I would never have a laundry room in my houses I play and that is kinda sad because I was excited for the building opportunities. Wish I had participated in voting because this would not have been my first choice. Thanks for always showing off the packs, that always makes a purchase decision easier. I have almost no stuff packs so I think I would invest in other stuff packs and game packs first.
I feel like mudroom is more for people with kids/dogs and they have an entrance area where people may take their dirty boots off. The nicer entrances (like the ones in older nicer houses) are called vestibules.

The items grouped together I think are better for the newer players or non-builders, because it looks good without much effort and part of the sims team's job is to design those and combine them too (like the bucket under the sink). But I get how you would like the items to be separate, since you play the sims so much and it would allow for more versatile furnishing if they weren't grouped. I think it would be cool if we had a new furniture category called stacked items (like the washing machine and dryer, also the signs from dine out) and have compositions of existing objects in there with the option to remove/recolor or move some of them as well :)
