Update: With the servers now being down for almost 3 months I really hope this isn't the last video I can make about these games.

Man, seeing those newer LBP levels makes feel sad. Like, it doesn't have the same life anymore. Because the big part LBP for me was the community. Also, nice video! I'm kinda interested if you keep doing more LBP vids or something those type of content. If I have any criticism, i found your energy just little bit low; I just feel you kinda tired recording the vid lol

Im currently playing LBP3 with my friends, and even the levels there don't have the same energy. It sucks. LBP was a really cool game. I wish Sumo wasn't so careless with LBP3.
Even now that LBP3 online is a thing again, the levels feel empty and shallow, the community just... Grew up, they have moved on, and now the only people i could say are left are young childs who were not aware of the whole hacking situation, which is sad, because the people that legitimately cared for the game are gone, even the developement team has moved on, and left this game like a wasteland, not close to feeling like what it once was

I'm very nostalgic for this game. I would watch youtube videos of people playing through some of the most creative, well made and fun levels ever created by the community, even long before I ever got the game or a PS3. Sad to see little of that remains, but perhaps it's good not to dwell on the past. I heard there is an emulated version of the game that can be played on PC where you can actually share community levels, but I fear it would be janky to try and install.
The current state of LBP is pretty... sad... considering the LBP1 and 2 servers shut down a few months ago, I'm hoping to make some actually decent LBP3 levels in the near future, hopefully with a friend of mine
I miss LittleBigPlanet. RIP to the original LittleBigPlanet servers... LBP3 is all that remains now.

This is actually a good video! Though the LBP servers got shutdown twice.. maybe you'll make another LBP video if the servers on again.. The news levels aren't so good, I feel your pain as you played through out the whole video. Well, I finally got to complete my level I didn't finish creating from the past months where I started. After the devs worked up the servers back on, would you like to play my level if you're making another LBP video next time? That would be appreciated after I worked on it for so long with the editing and logic ^^
Yeah I'll probably make a video when the servers go back up so hopefully they will soon. Drop the level names when u get a chance to upload them I'll check em out!

Lbp was a massive part of my childhood... Like really big... Like all my current friends i know from lbp... Lbp2 is literally the sol reason im interested in coding... This game literally shaped my life

The thing about user levels is there's like MM pick levels that are absoute god tier, common folk trash, and then an utterly massive skill void in between, you have to go out of your way to find a C tier. The popular section is always littered with like latinplayer15 copied levels, so people can definitely put hours and hours and hours into levels to get 3 plays.
I have some levels I started in LBP2 in 2011 that I am still coming back to work on and hopefully publish, I hope to god the servers come back on or this effort has been a massive waste!
I also really fear the inevitable future that servers will be gone for good, Modnation Racers which I also loved died and my hard drive failed in 13, so all that shit is lost forever for me.

@@sodagirl I have two currently up that got published back when the game was relevant "Prairie 9" and "the Slippery Slopes of Doom" creator name "Gamerguy495". The former being a weird platformer and the latter being a ridiculously fast sliding race thing. There's probably nothing like the latter because I had to specially make the checkpoints to spawn and destroy the old ones because versus mode makes you randomly spawn between checkpoints on the whole map otherwise.
The main one in development is a 6 part City themed platformer. Parts 1-3 are done, the 4th part is barely started, the 5th I can't get into because of some stupid DLC I don't own anymore, and part 6 was never started. It also doesn't help my PS3 disc drove just malfunctioned so i can't play it until that gets fixed. there's also a sequel to the slide level that's like 67% done.
IDK what's up with the servers honestly apparently they went back up months ago but I could never get into them no matter what I tried since they went down.
@@sodagirl Welp the servers are never coming back on LBP2 and This is awful news for me because the only way to transfer levels to LBP PS4 is to publish them from LBP2. The only hope for them to be played besides locally now is for me to singlehandedly remake them brick by brick by brick in LBP 3 PS4. which I'm recluctantly prepared to do.
I can still give them to you as backup level files which you could import to your PS3 and play/video from there. if you went to that effort for a random internet commenter though I would be so beyond honored.
They're not mindblowing but it's a 4 part city level (supposed to 6) that I spent about 20+hours on probably with at least one boss finished out of a planned 3. Said bosses include a giant robot, and a giant robotic T-rex and Pterodactyl that you can at least look at.

this was actually filmed before the servers went down, so unfortunately there's no way to play again yet. they give updates on the LBP twitter tho so hopefully soon.

the servers are back up only for lpb3 on ps4 but lpb 1 and 2 are perm disabled
