I don’t really care if you’re a traditional women or not, as long as you’re content with where you are at this point I’m good. HOWEVER, why do so many traditional men want traditional women to do traditional things (cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids, etc), yet want her to get a job even thought that’s untraditional???? Make it make sense.

Actually I think we should all critically examine why women feel such pressure to be traditional wives, just because something makes you "feel good" does not mean it is not worthy of critique or empowering. A woman's, or anyone else affected by misogyny, choice does not exist in a vacuum. A lot of it patriarchal conditioning.

@@rinkyrosey9689it could be, though it could also be the dynamic that’s appealing for some. i can’t speak for women but tbh having one partner do the domestic things and having the other provide for the family monetarily doesn’t sound like a bad idea, as long as both partners are happy i don’t really see a problem with it. if a man wants to do the domestic role and if a woman wants to be the provider i also see nothing wrong with that, though i could see patriarchal conditioning being a part of it

These days, most parents can't afford to have one parent stay home while the other works.... not in this shitty economy. My husband and I are extremely lucky to be able to have me stay home, although I would've rather stayed home while our kids were young than now... but it works out. When I go back to work, he can finally stay home, and he'll do all the housework, chores, cooking, cleaning, etc. When we both worked, we both took half the housework, chores, and cooking.... I wasn't going to do it all after working a 12-hour shift. F that noise.

@Enriquez2222 why do you say that? When my kids were very little, I worked all the time and worked very long hours. My hubby and I missed a ton of their milestones. We saved and saved until our boys got to be teenagers, and I figured I could stay home and be fine. I miss the medical field, but being with my boys is all that matters to me. the tradwife thing is like super common in eastern countries and there would be no problem if the men weren't so shitty. It's a cultural thing by now and its expected of all women and if you were to slightly differ they hit you with the- omg what will people say and use it as a way to control you.
women seeking jobs and a stable career is slowly normalising, but they're still expecting them to be baby machines and take care of the house like the guy in the messages.
As an AFAB person it is so fucking frustrating because its literally a whole culture thing and it feels suffocating. I don't want to do any of that but there's the societal pressure and pressure from your family and it fucking sucks.

thankfully tho i think we will see change in this very soon. i completely understand where you're coming from as i come from the very same culture you're on about but my sisters never went down this route thankfully! but i will admit i think change in these modern times is coming and we wont see the women basically being baby carriers and acc having their own careers and such, as i've seen many women in my age group and even older of my background doing their own thing and enjoying and getting on with life, it's honestly so cool to see! so dw the change will be coming very soon don't let the pressure of society get to you as remember you only have one life, don't waste it on losers with backward opinions hope that helps!

If I may give my two cents real quick:
I have Level 2 Autism and I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and I got those disorders from my parents who didn’t believe in mental health (if you’re black or a POC you know what I mean).
Therefore, I don’t want kids. Which makes marriage easier!
Now I don’t hate kids, that’s a big misconception that people make about childfree people. I love kids and babies! I just cannot have them due to my situation, it wouldn’t be fair to my future kids if they have my anxiety. I would love to still be apart of the village that raises a child like a auntie or a godmother.
Therefore, whether you choose the tradwife lifestyle or career lifestyle, it’ll be easier with no kids of your own. It’s just you and your spouse, no one else, y’know? Plus pregnancy scares me to hell and back so yeah.
TLDR; I believe that I can get behind a tradwife lifestyle with my future spouse if no kids are involved.

And the kick is that for people (usually men, not gonna lie) who dream of this idealized "traditional" lifestyle always have some way of putting down all the work the wife does. Their work is some how always more taxing and important and this woman who just "stays at home all day" (is taking care of the kids, house, and also works a job) could never understand that.
Like, the amount of times ive seen older men act like no one has ever worked harder than them while simultaneously putting their wives work down us insane

i feel like if you like being a stay at home mum/partner and it makes you happy, sure do what you want. if you feel like being a wife/mum/ partner is your "role/ calling as woman" lowkey imo that's kinda weird but it's your life. the problem only starts when you shame other women for their choices or tell little girls they need to live that way ('traditionally') because of the strong likelihood of getting into an abusive situation and also because it's shitty.
tdlr: do what you want, don't force other people to live the life you choose.

it's like the difference between a "traditional marriage" and a heterosexual 24/7 dom/sub setup. In a 24/7 bdsm relationship you have a previously agreed upon way out anytime you need a break as well as clearly outlined boundaries, "traditional marriage" types want it to be your only option with no way out and no way to say no to anything

    • @princess4509
      @princess4509 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@molluscumlorei kinda disagree with this as a kinkster who also wants a traditional marriage my goal is not to be controlled 24/7 traditionally in most cultures outside of the west the woman hold the money it’s been this way for my parents for 20 years my mom held the money and took care of domestic labor but my dad also picked up slack and hired outside help for the family often my mother also was a SAHM and he’s not controlling over her she has the business degree they treat the marriage as the business contract it’s always been designed to be since the beginning of time. traditional marriages are about elevating your family’s status by reducing the home maintenance of other family members so they can excel career wise. It’s divorced from kink entirely, however there are emotionally abusive and financially abusive partners out there but they should NEVER be compared to bdsm dynamic lifestyles. and that’s coming from someone who’s had many dynamics and has been engaged (called it off cause my ex was abusive) and has also seen my parents make it work and my grandparents make it work

@@princess4509 I was only speaking on the trend of "traditional marriage" discussed in this video, which is a very 50's american idea of traditional marriage. I can't speak on tradition in other cultures. This kind of traditional american marriage gets compared to kink a lot because it is VERY reliant on treating the man as the god of the household. He gets what he wants no questions asked, which often ends up looking a lot like a kink thing. But the key difference is that in a kink setup there is still choice to be had, it's not because you think you'll burn in hell if you leave.

Out of pocket; But the intro of your video. Is that The song, “ Using You “ by Mars Argo?! I could’ve sworn I heard that tune before 🎶
But yes. The whole traditional thing confuses me. Because traditional guys want their partner to cook/clean/take care of the kids. But also wants them to get a job?! We can’t be two places at once 😵‍💫

To be fair I think the idea of a traditional family gets looped into the corniness of how the US used to look, especially when we think of old sitcoms that are obviously racist and or sexist depending on the time they were running. But you gotta think about every other place in the world where the traditional family ideal is a working father, a housewife mother and a child of each gender. (like you said, balance lol.) I think of a dad who is usually tired but wise from working to support, a mom who is tough yet loving from dealing with tedious kids, and a child for each of them to have their pros and cons with raising. Growing up with single parents you always miss out on one or the other. Sometimes a topic is better to talk to mom about or vice versa. There’s also the variety of perspective with the traditional gender role households. With that you can ask the same question to each parent and get a different response, on from the feminine and one from the masculine. Anywho I think it’s really common for ideas to get blown up online and get lost in the extremism. I think some sexist ass people on both sides made the whole idea of gender roles and or traditional relationships seem all messed up. It really just comes down to men embracing being masculine and women embracing being feminine and sometimes there are duties that fit those roles better than one another. Love the energy you put into your videos and I think you’ve got some really creative points of view. But ngl I did kind of cringe at your idea of a traditional relationship / family being some corny PA family, should look into how other countries raise their kids / manage their families it’s quite the norm

What’s wrong with traditional women, though? Most of them are women who WANT to have kids and WANT to take care of the house. Those who do not want to lead a traditional life style are allowed and should be applauded for getting divorces and leading the life style they want.
