Sea Palling - How big is too big?

  • As I looked at the waves at 8am, I wasn't sure going out on my own was a very good idea. I did, though it definitely wasn't a stressfree session. There was a gusty 30knt wind and a significant rip coming through the bays. Finding yourself in the middle of a big set with no wind was not fun.
    I admit I was pretty relieved when I got back to the beach at the end of the session.
    A big respect to the rest of the guys that made it out. Especially the surfers who didn't have the same propulsion I did.
    It was a pleasure sharing waves with you all

      @@danspaghettiman4927 our big swells on the Norfolk coast are driven by storms in the North Sea. These can happen anytime but its usually September / October that we get lucky 👍
