- Well, I decided to take out the ol bicycle again today and bike it down to hard off to see what has changed or what they had in. It was a bit crowded with people around the games section so I had to walk around different isleways until people cleared out a bit but none the less, here is another vid.
Hola Genio, me gusta tu estilo de vida y como disfrutas haciendo lo que te gusta. Me identifico contigo. !!! 👍☺
I saw this in sub box right before work and was upset that I had to wait till after work to watch it. I don't think you realize how happy your Hard Off videos make me!!! Really love these videos Luke!! Its funny how some of the stuff they are selling was your old stuff ;) Next time you go I'll pay any price to have you grab that Orange Gamecube for me!!
these trips to Hard Off videos never seem to get old, as you always seem to discover something new each visit :)
Crazy Gaijin talking to to junk lol. So many memories for you when you sell to Hard Off. NT DoCoMo love that little guy. End labels so simple, so convenient but also so missing from too many cart types. As always a fun tour of Hard Off, thanks Luke. :)
Great Video Luke... I really enjoy when you do these vids... I wish they had one of those shops here in the states.. I would go broke inside! LOL Thanks for the vid!
Hard Off time with Luke is always a great time! :) As always thanks for sharing these. Love the background music to be honest, it's just... happy. :D
And I'm with the previous poster/s/; so jealous of having a place like this to go to!
Hey Luke,, Thanks for this great video of Hard Off.. You're the man!
The store should be called Hard On. Great video again. :)
YEY!!! Hardoff videos are the best Luke!!! Thanks!
oh man imagine working in that store, that music would drive me crazy. i alrdy have to listen to xmas songs all day at work
Aw! I saw a mockingbird design guitar at the beginning of the guitar aisle!! That's my favorite style of electric guitar!! Wonder how much it was lol XD
Always love these Hard Off vids :D
I love these videos so much :D Thanks Luke
That first controller you picked up at 2:30 was definitely a pc controller. Has the 15-pin D-sub connector on it. I had an exact copy of that gamepad a few years back called a "Doc's High-Tech Gamepad"(in beige). The switch on the front turns on and off the secondary C & D buttons and it has A, B, and Turbo A & B. Actually pretty decent gamepads, but the little switch for the secondary C & D buttons fails soon. Can't remember if it turns the front or shoulder C & D buttons on and off though.
LOL I love the beginning!
if I was in Japan, this is the place I would visit at least once a week.
We have bookoffs in Los Angeles, but the prices and selection of games are not comparable to those of hardoffs.
This is actually a very cool video, thanx for uploading it.
You can turn them into star fox 2 carts, problem is you gotta do a custom wiring job cause of chip size, and its a huge mess.
This looks like an awesome store.
There is nothing like a virtual shopping tour in Hard Off with Luke as a tour guide. :)
Seems like a lot for that old 'scope man! Mine cost me about half that and is about 20 years younger lol
I keep seeing that orange gameboy/gamecube adapter every time you do in there. If I ever get to Japan I imagine it still being there :p
I do love these Hard Off videos. Almost makes me feel like I'm there :D
WOW! 5:10 Urusei Yatsura Pachislo for only 3,150!!!!! If it's "Junk," does that mean it doesn't work? I've been to Japan quite a lot, but there are no Hard Offs in Nagano-ken where I mainly visit. I never found one in Hyogo-ken where I lived for 2 years, either. The only Hard Off I've been to was in Yamanashi-ken on the way back from Mt. Fuji.
This made my day
my heart skipped a beat when this came up
What Hard Off do you score most of the finds at or is it just luck of the draw for finding things? Big shopping trip coming up for me in August.
love your channel man, so great and i enjoy the culture from japan - next time your around a hard off can you view some of the synthesizers they have??? :P would be cool to see!
Thanks for doing another hard off video. I love these.
If there was a store like this in California I would never have money.
when I saw the hard off video in my inbox I KNEW I had to see what Crazy Luke was up to...besides that song gets stuck in your head and you can't help but start humming with it and I would BUT its 3 AM here so I won't :)
I wonder how much a copy of Mother 2 would go for there if they had one? Probably a pretty penny for sure
Very nice!!
Looking through all the hard off stuff must take FOREVER since almost no games at all have end labels in Japan. But I would do it anyway. I go WAY too into things like that looking for something cool or for a good deal. My mom could just drop me off there and pick me up the next day.
@TeamXR07 as long as they have and sell Sega Master System games, i'm cool with the idea of Hard Off in america (SMS games are very hard to come by in the central florida region and the only 2 places i can easily find them are in most Play 'n Trade stores as well as some game shops at Flea World in sanford.
instant fave
I want an mp3 of the store music ;)
Great vid Luke!
Those guitar prices are pretty sweet.
Great! Glad to see another Hard Off video.
I want that Urusei Yatsura pachi-slot machine!!
If I was a Hard Off employee, I would probably snap after the 10,000th time I heard that song loop.
HAH! I thought to myself, "I wonder if that PCE LT is still here..." then 3 seconds later you started talking about it in the video. It was a weird moment.
@retroballz I totaly agree with you upon that.
We need an adult special Luke:)
I want the Hard-Off jingle as my ringtone.
Man I could be in this place for awhile looking at all of the games wow
ever gonna show us that adult corner Luke?
Hey Luke would it be possible for you to make a little footage of the keyboards which are under the guitars next time ? I'm curious about the gems that are potentialy here!
if i was an employee there i'd be hanging myself form the rafters from hearding that same damn song all day lol
@nekomacouk Aw crap, you indirectly answered part of the question I just posted. All I remember of Akihabara is Super Potato which in my mind was a bit on the high side - do Sofmap or Trader carry Famicom stuff or is it primarily "newer" games/systems?
I want to shop at one of those stores so bad hehe.. so many console models that I don't have. Need to get a top bezel for my Super Famicom, the guy I bought it from carved it up to put US games in it :/ Do you ever see the old pachinko machines? I have an old Nishijin model B i think.
these are the best videos...... hey luke you should have shown that adult section !!!!
@LarryBundyJr exactly! I can picture Luke going up to the counter and asking about "a black car", or where he can find some sailors. lol
I need the Hard Off OST. LOL!
sometimes i wish i can just teleport myself thru this vid and go get me some stuff there.....I'M IN NEED OF GAME PARTS!
.-. thats not even fair i would die to go somewhere liek that :C
so its the savers/value village of japan?
Jeebus Luke...You must live really near me. I swear that is the SeisekiSakura Gaoka HO.... I'm 10 minutes away from that one by bike.
So how is it that there is so much of this stuff in Japan? Here on the west cost of the US you can barely find anything retro anymore..=(
Haha i have that song stuck in my head now
Some unusual stuff.
9:42 yeah thats funny Luke, the US gets end labels but Jap gets better art on games in my opinion
I love how they call it junk lol
killer dude. i love the old hard off vids. id love to blow all my cash in that place :P
05:12 Is that Urusei Yatsura?
No bicycling riding video?
Hey Luke have you ever ran into the Game Center CX guys anywhere? Odd question i know but hey...
I think I could hang out with you all day...
I Own a Gold N64 and was wondering how to refurbish the pin connector on the n64 for the games... I hear my pin connector is busted or dirty and that's why it constantly resets itself in the middle of gameplay
HARD OFF ROX!
Super Hard-Off, the opposite of Super Hard-On!
Did the Tsunami effect you?
The store music seems so weird.
Have you a Panasonic FS-A1GT (MSX turbo R) computer?
i would hate to work here the music would drive me crazy
Adult Corner mmmmmmm LOL
$107 for the PS2, $53 for the Dreamcast, Saturn, XBox, and Gamecube
Are all the things in the junk section dead ?
i wannnt this background music ! please ask for it luke :D
2:57
Nostalgia Critic has one of these.
Thomas3120 just referb'd an oscilloscope..and it looks perfect. You should check it out.

YAY!! Hard off... :D
lol no matter where you are, there are always an abundance of crappy old sports games
Yay i lov eyour hard off videos
FPS with luke = First Person Shopping.
They must have found out you were on a bike and decided to carry the parts in the hopes of making a mint...lol
jk
its almost like your offering up soft core porn for nerds. lol
Thanks luke. :D
5:53 - You know this was incorrect at the time no? Given the age of this vid you may now know how these games work in terms of cash payouts... If not, just say and I'll explain.
Oh and do you still post repair vids? Kinda miss your content man :|
Either way hope you're doing well.
does jack have an "off" store to? jk
hey luke do you have spair famicom forsale
@MarioSegaFreak yes he lives duh :)
god i feel bad for the employees same ass song all day long...
shame you didn't have a friend to drag around to appear to speak to. That or get yourself a cheap Bluetooth headset to wear. will make you look allot less crazy :P
Yeah CeX is just not quite as good is it LOL!
Your videos on Hard Off are like crack lol
@ValisHD
lol
