I remember when they took the cast off from my son after he had his accident I was so relieved & happy! It's such a great feeling when u see your child go back to normal & not worry about doctor's visits anymore. Accidents can happen especially with a Toddler. Good job Mama Scheana for taking care of your precious daughter as well as the father too! 🤗💕

Summer is the sweetest and she is so intelligent. I caught Brock sitting with and holding both Summer and Ocean. Brock is a loving daddy/father figure for those girls. They will always value him for his love and ocean will cherish his open heart for her. I don’t comment much but that part got me in the heart. What an amazing and kind man. I’m in love lol. (After twin boys for 14 years before having a daughter, who was supposed to be a boy didn’t know we were having a daughter until she was born. I appreciate daughters so much ). Summer is so cute. And ocean too such a sweetie ♥️♥️

I had a cast when i was young on my arm too, and when it was first cut off, I did the same thing Summer did because my arm felt lighter than air after they cut the cast off.

That said, continuing to pride her and compliment her when she’s behaving impolitely or out of character is a moment to pry into the why, not give her more compliments in effort to illicit the behavior or reaction you seek. I’ll explain. Summer in our observation is very bright, quick, well spoken, chatty, and polite. When everyone spoke to her she ignored them or refused to speak. Telling her again “you’re a rockstar!” When the doctor is trying to get feedback is a poor strategy because he’s trying to gain information about his patient and how she’s feeling. He’s not just assessing her arm, he’s observing behavioral differences and looking for lingering trauma symptoms. She’s behaving out of character, so try peeling that back instead of trying harder to get the “good” behavior. You could have peeled it back by asking, “Summer, what’s wrong? You’re usually happy to see Dr. Fisher, what’s different today?” You’re more than likely to get several different answers but I suggest you keep asking so you can address them. Maybe she wanted to keep the cat because she’s afraid her arm isn’t heeled, perhaps she’s scared if might break again… any number of reasons but it’s critical to address them so she doesn’t start bottling anxiety because her parents don’t like it when she doesn’t behave in the way they like. I hope you don’t take any offense, I only mean to help, from one parent to another. ❤❤❤
9:37 I’ll never forget the smell of my daughters cast being cut off and opened up when she was little. It was SO stinky!!! Hopefully they have more breathable materials or something that makes them stink less these days lol. It was nasty in there!!!
