The big benefit is a durable TR2 ink vs Eco-Sol Max. Could not find enough information but it seems to be more scratch resistant and can go longer without lamination.
Thanks for the info. I just received my SG3-300 and I can't figure out what that metal guard is doing in the front. It's just in my road and frankly irritating. Am I missing a point here?

I wouldn’t say it was better, but different. The video outlines the differences between the two, but you would need to see which printer aligns with your current output and where you want to be in the future.
Can you do a video on the Roland MG-300 I am debating between the the SG3-300 or the MG-300 other than one being a UV and one not. What are the benefits of the MG-300 vs the SG3-300 or send me an email?

@@graphicinsights466 I’m a start up, doors aren’t open yet. I feel like we would out grow the BN20A fairly quickly if we were doing it right. The price for SG3-300 feels a like step for me. Is there any other options in the 8K-10K range? Thanks!
It all depends on what you will be using it for. You can get a lot of work out of a BN20 especially if your goal is to produce apparel, stickers and other smaller projects. If your goal is to make signs, banners and vehicle graphics, then growing into a machine might be the way to go. I do believe the SG3 is on sale right now for $11,995 through 3/31. If you were to finance it through Sean Evans at CIT financial sean.evans@cit.com you might be surprised how affordable an SG3 could be. Tell him Mike at Graphic Insights sent you. I did it and the SG-300 prints like crap, prints are grainy and nowhere near as nice. I’ve had two Roland techs out from different companies and they say that’s the best you get from a two head machine.

Thanks for the concise comparison. I have a question. what about cutting time between the two? How would you compare SG3-300 vs new BN2-20?
@pickagramllc4099 the SG300 is capable of cutting up to two times faster at 11.8 IPS. The BN20 can cut at speeds up to 5.9 IPS

I saw a video where the SG3-300 printed and cutter twill. Can that be done on the BN 20?
The BN20 should have no issues cutting twill. I would recommend using a 60 degree blade when cutting thicker items.

Great point.! There is definitely a difference in cost. The SG3-300 is currently $13,995 vs the BN20A at $6,795.
