During the 1990's, the Dallas Cowboys dynasty was involved in a lot of controversy off the field. Particularly when a group of Cowboys players rented a house in Valley Ranch, Texas known as the infamous White House where players brought home mistresses and organized parties. And the main ring leader in all this was Michael Irvin.

Shannon Sharpe just said this on Undisputed: if people like you, you can get away with anything. He was specifically referring to Brett Favre's latest scandal involving diverting state funds to build a volleyball court. Sad as it is to say, Shannon has a point, and Irvin continues to be proof of this.

So long as you're a productive superstar in this league you can get away with anything. I'm aware of Irvin's peccadillos but I can't help loving the guy. Smh.

Michael Irvin was a really really good player a shit person, but Emmitt Smith was truly great and look I was a huge cowboys fan at the time I was also a Redskins fan time I lived in Baltimore we didn't have a team in my lifetime at that point I was born in 84. Also we got to talk about longevity here Michael Irvin played a total of 12 seasons in the NFL but the 12th season he only played four games due to the neck injury that ended his career and don't get me wrong 12 seasons is a super long career and he was still playing pretty good! But on the other hand emmitt Smith a running back that position doesn't usually play with that kind of longevity he played 15 full seasons......

I remember this quote at the time in either SI or a Dallas newspaper where a Cowboys cheerleader was asked what happened there and simply said you didn’t exactly have tea and cookies at the White House. Also the women had to sign a consent form. Very well thought out. I thought that it was a bigger scandal than was implied in the story.
