I have the one with the Selma sculpt and I've been so careful of her for years because I thought the bows were glued on and I saw people online breaking her glasses. Her glasses finally did break this year (😭) and I've replaced them with very similar Creatable World ones and pushed them into the same threaded holds from her last ones. I'm so grateful to hear that the shoe style is actually more durable than that - now all I have to worry about is stetching the letters off her pants; I've avoided posing her when I noticed they started to fade, and that probably defeats the purpose of her being made to move. I just have to stop being anxious about her - I'm not nearly as careful of my other dolls, haha. Other than special editions she's my first collector doll, so I guess that's where that comes from. Plus she's so dang cute. I love the colour combinations of their outfits and I actually got a Puma shoe in their honour. Ironically it's my fanciest shoe. Going off of this video, that must mean I have very boring taste in sneakers, haha.😅😝

It’s great to hear that you’re taking care of your Puma Barbie. Sorry to hear that her shades broke, but personally I never liked them myself, so I don’t think you lost anything particularly significant LOL. As for the lettering, yeah it does fade over time, I’m familiar with this material. But you can delay it from fading by placing the doll in a humid-free environment. Personally I put all my dolls inside an enclosed glass shelf with lots of desiccants and dehumidifiers inside. It especially helps with textiles that fade and break (faux leather too).
And you got a sneaker from the Puma Barbie collab? That’s so cool! I’m so jealous, I wish I had at least one! 😭 I know I’m not a fan of Puma but…still!
I absolutely love the look of these dolls ❤❤❤ They definitely had that Barbiecore esthetic before Barbiecore was a thing. And yes, when a doll line gets discontinued, it does break your spirit a bit and can drive you to take a break from the hobby you enjoy, because that’s exactly what happened to me 🫤🫤🫤When Bratz dolls were originally discontinued, it broke my spirit and I stopped collecting. But I casually got back into it after I got married, since my husband encouraged me 🎉🎉🎉I’m getting more into it now, like you, since now there’s better dolls being produced. So I’m so happy for you to be building your collection and I’ll keep living vicariously through you until my situation allows me to continue mine😊😊😊
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Ms. D! I’m so glad that to know someone has had the same experience as I. When Ever After High was cancelled, it hit me hard. Real hard. I felt like wasted 3 years of my life collecting those dolls. 😔
I’m glad I was able to return to collecting 2 years ago. I’m over it now, but I’m still bitter at Disney for killing the franchise and at Mattel for letting it die. But yeah, I’ll be rebuilding my collection for now focusing on Barbie. I hope you’ll rebuild your collection as well especially since Bratz is making a huge comeback. Good luck!!! ☺️
@@asherbarbara9 I don’t know if I will start collecting Bratz again since I’m really into the fashion and photographing scenes now. I’m more upset that I missed out on lots of dolls like EAH, Project MC2, Liv dolls, Moxie Teens, Makies, City Girls, and even many of the Barbie lines that were beautiful and stylish but now they’re gone. I’m trying to build my collection through the second hand market, but it’s not easy, as you’ve said in the past. But at least I’m having fun in the hunt ☺️☺️☺️
