Merrill has such a lovely personality. He had two mini strokes at age 20, diabetes, heart problems and more mini strokes, severe depression/anxiety, yet he still continues God bless u Merrill your still loved
Lovely interview with a lovely man. Merrill Osmond is a legend. Love the pic's and mention of the fabulous G4. I feel very honoured to have dined with the lovely G4 and Merrill Osmond recently at the Ivy London. What an amazing and surreal evening it all was. x
I don't know that I would have compared America to the British in loving the Osmonds. I think anybody that knows of the Osmonds love them. I'm 67 years old and my parents had heard them many, many years ago and liked them. They appealed to all ages and still do.
The man that got my attention was not Donny it was Merrill he captivated me his voice, his image his dancing. I remember my mother asking me which one do you like? I told her that I loved Merrill, she replied to old for you, I was 12 he was 18, Just something about him. Even though we all lived our different lives I thank my father GOD that I was able to see him on a black and white tv. My parents could not afford a color tv back then. I never stopped following him in silence he was to far from my reach. I still wish one day to meet him in person. 💋🙏❤🥰
He doesn't HAVE to be perfect. No one is perfect except One. Merrill is a great singer and performer. He could just go out there on stage and read the dictionary and I'd still pay to see him. :)

I know it was not Merrill saying that and he has explained the difference of the American fans and the British fans. He was so kind and intelligent when explaining it to all of us at one of his Walk Down Memory Lane Concerts. America loves the Osmonds too and maybe more b/c remember in the late 70's and early 80's England turned on them and burned their records. It was the US that stayed faithful!

What they mean by England loves them more is the Osmonds had a larger fan base in England. Sadly, that is true. With that said, the US fans they had loved them just as much if not more because England had more concerts after the D&M show because they were blacklisted by the industry in the US. We missed them very much. US Osmond fans matured age wise with the Osmonds but the industry pushed Donny to the front and kept it at the bubblegum stage. This took away from the brothers carrying on and us fans missed out on so much more they would have given us. Shame on the industry.

I actually had the privilege of meeting him when he was still performing in Branson. He is truly as humble as he comes across in this interview.
