one idea: as i have seen, woocommerce-integration is next in your list. please, please, please take all the woocommerce-css in a separate file to have the chance to deactivate it by one click. the woocommerce-css bloats up the normal css-code of divi. thank you!
Postponing the public Alpha into 2024 is a bummer (wasn't the actual plan a full RC in 2023?), as is the low performance increase on Divi 5 Dev Beta right now. Also, seeing no plans for CSS grid, flexbox or query loops on the roadmap is probably the biggest problem, since this means no up-to-date features before Divi 6 aka late 2025. In a world where Breakdance and Bricks (especially because of the LTD) exist, there is little to no reason for experienced WP devs/designers to use Divi right now. At least if it's not a quick and dirty low-budget and/or low-effort project. That's probably the final nail in the coffin to ditch Divi for good. Fingers crossed Divi 5 updates won't break too many clients' sites.
I also hope that after 5.0, they get on all the things you mentioned to be competitive on the frontend side, and hopefully they have a migration path away from jQuery and all the div-soup. But I am pretty sure they know that's what they have to do, I assume the 5.0 refactor is necessary for them to effectively get all that done. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

Divi is sooooooooooo slow bro. I love divi but it's so slow and it doesn't work well with other plugins. Right now this minute I'm watching the divi builder spin endlessly while I'm trying to update my shop. This Jesus wanna be never replies to messages here. He's a tool.
