if he works on his first touch a little more, so that it doesn’t slow him down but instead keeps him in stride, and couples that with working a bit more on finishing, he could be a seriously dangerous attacker
Honestly, Speed did way better than last year. He really needs to start playing to his strengths.
- Speed is fast but because he doesn't have a lot of footballing experience, his touch often lets him down. It was also very obvious he isn't comfortable kicking the ball while under pressure.
- He has trouble positioning and is very impatient. And I'm not talking about straddling the line offsides, but how he starts moving towards the play rather than staying farther wide to be an outlet. His speed is so much more important if he could have the space to run into.
Obviously there is a lot more he can fix, but at that point it would be nitpicking. I'd say these are the two main things he needs to work on to improve. Next year he will come back stronger. I'm convinced after seeing his performance this year.
Speed, I would practice just having the ball at your feet more. I know in the US there are a lot of apps that arrange pick up games and I would recommend you attend those. Having more experience is key, really. If not that, literally just hold the ball in your hands, put it on your feet, kick it around as you walk about the house, cook, brush your teeth. Having the ball at your feet all the time will get you so used to it you will become an absolute monster.
So basically the only thing he got going for him is his speed. No touch, no technique, no passing, no defending, no dribble and his decision making(football iq) is null… He is funny tho🤣🤦♂️

he can only improve but it depends how committed he is. he’s naturally quick which is good but he doesn’t look coordinated, his feet moves faster than his brain. dribbling and finishing are the things he needs to practise the most. if he can hire a coach and play in organised friendly matches he’ll become decent. would love to see him do that and play next year to see how much he would’ve improved.

When you see his control of the ball and how he moved past people and everything, speed is a very decent player and has so much potential, the only thing is he has to have a clearer mind because his excitement makes him take clumsy decisions and get ahead of himself which leads to him losing the ball a lot. He obviously needs a bit more of ball knowledge and in my opinion to keep a cool and calm head. If he gets that sorted, next year if a charity match happens and they get him on it, speed is really gonna be dangerous on the pitch.
