I teach fifth grade and so many of my students need phonics still. I have a student who has never had any kind of phonics instruction. All of my school's resources are, like you said, PreK-2. Thanks for this video!

You are very welcome! I’m glad you were able to take some strategies away and I hope they help your students.

Bridget, thank you for sharing your strategies! I love how you incorporated color-coding, visuals, movement, and auditory learning through these strategies. Also, I feel like you were spot-on about the upper elementary students feeling uneasy when the texts or activities seem too babyish for them. You have done a phenomenal job of balancing the academic needs of the students while honoring their developmental and social needs. Thank you so much for such a helpful video; it is packed with activities that I want to try with my students. You rock!

I have been working on phonics in my 5th grade classroom. I do some of these, but I like that you added in the clothes pins as a new way to label syllables. I was curious, you said you worked with your team to develop decodeables, will those be in the community? If so, how many different pattern decodeables are/will be available?

Are these only for the "community"? I checked your website and didn't find them. If they are for everyone, can share how to find them. You can imagine how many other are going to watch this after the deadline and really want to purchase ❤️

I would love to purchase the decodable readers you showed in this video, but can't seem to find them. Please let me know if/where these can be purchased. Thank you.

I really enjoyed this video. I’m new to 3rd grade and feel my students need intense phonics instruction.
Do you happen to have a set of letter sheets already made?
