Good evening sir,
Today’s motivational quote is “Everyday is a fresh start.”
Editorial is related to withdrawing advisory by the Government of India regarding to use the masked Aadhaar instead of photocopies of the Aadhaar.
In my opinion: - The AADHAAR is a 12 digit identification number and it is issued by Unique Identification Authority of India on behalf of the Government of India (GOI) has always been in controversy due to security issues. At the beginning, the Supreme Court had said that it is not mandatory for all and now it seems that it has become compulsory to all as when someone goes for any work, they are asked to produce Aadhaar as identification proof. Recently, a notification was issued by the Bengaluru Regional office, urging people to use the masked Aadhaar instead of photocopies of the Aadhaar as nowadays forgery cases are increasing day by day across the country. After two days, the Central Government has withdrawn its decision, citing that it will be misconstrued. It is true that forgery is being done by the fraudsters with the help of Aadhaar as it contains a lot of secret information of the individual. If the Government had looked for ways regarding how to stop the forgery instead of withdrawing its decision, such cases would have reduced/stopped. Henceforth, if the people ensure to use the masked Aadhaar, forgery can be stopped. Being a responsible citizen of the country, we all know that the Government can merely form rules and if we follow well, we can save ourselves from the fraudsters. Besides, people must avoid sharing OTP which is often sought by the fraudsters in connection with KYC updation and if possible such incidents must be intimated to the appropriate authority for further action. This will somewhere help to secure ourselves from the fraudsters.
