People really sleep on USPS but they're insanely efficient and by far the most careful. Their premium stuff is also super cheap and fast. Sold several keyboards in just brown paper wrap and they arrived perfectly.
As someone who worked for Fedex, I 100% agree. USPS IS government regulated so they are actively much more careful than UPS or FedEx, which are generally more geared towards company and large package shipping

Thanks again for another informative video! Here is Singapore, most of the mail trades are done using toploaders + bubble mail, but it does get bulky in larger amount. Good to know that cardsaver can be another safe option as well!. Stay safe and happy holiday everyone!

That's why it's so important to protect cards with something hard. Whether it's an envelope, bubble mailer, or box, they can take a beating. They're all thrown together by the thousands in sorting up until they get to the carrier.

Honestly i didn't realize how backed up USPS was at the point which this video was made but it's super impressive to see even then they were the quickest and imo seemed to be the one that caused the least amount of damage to the contents inside. great video as always Pat!!
"Happy Holidays" I usually ship my cards via USPS, shipping in a bubble envelope is probably the best choice you can make when shipping out cards, it doesn't allow much movement and has the protective bubble seal.

I believe when the box stalled at the warehouse, someone might've opened the box to "see if there's anything good in it". If the card saver was near the top when the box was cut open, it would explain why a piece is missing and why some of the cards have "manhandling" damage on them. Nothing else would explain how the edge was cleanly removed otherwise
So I have a bunch of old pokemon cards that i might be looking to sell. Where do you go to see the actual value of the cards to make sure I'm not getting ripped off?
As a past FedEx worker; USPS ships through FedEx. Their trucks show up and we load their shipments onto our planes. Their trucks were the worst in terms of being "packed" the worst way possible. Everything looked tossed all over the place and by far the most difficult to unload.

Ship with USPS. I've worked at Fed Ex and USPS. Fed Ex doesn't let you take your phone in the warehouse. You'll see furnature and tires on top of small parcels and under staffed lines

I once tried posting a card in an envelope wedged between cardboard. It seemed secure enough but I didnt have the most amount of faith in it. Happy holidays, hope no one gets their cards destroyed in post before Christmas.

Quick story . I had a normal size mailbox and received a package that would not fit inside of it . The mail carrier crushed the corners and forced it into my mailbox . It actually took me five minutes just to remove it because it fit so tight . I bought an oversized mailbox and haven't had another issue .

USPS gets too much hate. They are the real MVP's always. I know you mentioned there won't be a next time, but if this is ever revisited it would be cool to throw in a bunch of various level of shock indicator labels that are made for fragile shipping!

I've received card orders in toploaders before, but they taped the tops shut. The cards inside were fine (to be fair, they were in bubble wrap too)

Quick story . I had a normal size mailbox and received a package that would not fit inside of it . The mail carrier crushed the corners and forced it into my mailbox . It actually took me five minutes just to remove it because it fit so tight . I bought an oversized mailbox and haven't had another issue .

USPS gets too much hate. They are the real MVP's always. I know you mentioned there won't be a next time, but if this is ever revisited it would be cool to throw in a bunch of various level of shock indicator labels that are made for fragile shipping!
