- SONIC BOOM SIX triumphantly return with the 'New Style Rocka' single, their first new studio material in two years. Available on Digital Download format and exclusive CD and T-Shirt bundle on March 28th 2011 'New Style Rocka' is released on SB6's own Rebel Alliance Recordings.
'New Style Rocka' is Sonic Boom Six's ode to the rich mash-up of styles and characters that inhabit the dance-floors of British night-life; a musical celebration of the UK's unique multiculturalism that has spawned SB6's
trademark blend of punk and dance music. Fittingly, 'New Style Rocka' features the emcee talents of Manchester's premier drum n bass emcee Tonn Piper (recently seen touring with Tek-One and Shaun Ryder) and comes
complete with a remix by Liverpool's jungle firebrand DJ Frisk as well as the brand new B-Side 'What Doesn't Kill You Make You Stronger', a tune premièred on SB6's recent European tour with Less Than Jake. The single and 'New Style Rocka' video (filmed by Manchester's Trifecta Films) drop just in time for SB6's stint playing main support to The King Blues on their forthcoming sold-out UK tour.
Special thanks to Alex and co at Hit & Run clubnight for allowing us to use their night for the video. Check out www.hitandrunuk... for some of the best Dustep, Hip-Hop and Drum & Bass clubnights around.
Directed by James Kennedy (Trifecta Films). www.trifectafil...

How can anyone not like this? Awesome song! Looking forward to more new SB6! Now just get over to the States again soon!
Was getting withdrawal symptoms! SB6 are a band who will consistently and genuinely surprise you with their output. Been a fan since ruff guide and its always impossible to tell what direction they will take next. Every track is however unmistakably them, and the whole lot is bound together by the honesty of proper rooted music. Or, to put this long comment another way, OMFG
clever, talented man Tonn Piper imo - straight up, genuine fella.
Madness...probably the first successful meshing together of a drum and bass emmcee over rock....nice one! sounds cool :0
Please Come to West Virginia! We never get bands, and we never get bands as great as you guys are!
SB6 used to be one of my favourite bands.
Now they might be my favourite.
Tonn isn't in the video because he was on tour when we were filming it. We made our best efforts to get him in the vid but our schedules clashed, in the club we actually missed him by about an hour.
It's nothing to do with singing on our song and not promoting him, what a crazy notion! We would have loved him in the video and all tried our best to do it but sometimes things don't work out exactly as you want them to!
I'm just a junglist soooldier, fightiiing to keep tha jungle aliiive!
Spot on sb6 awesome new tune can't wait for the album
Yesssssssssss Tour again!
Great gig in Manc last weekend! Random Hand and King Blues were great too, but this song was the highlight, Tonn Piper kills it too, really original sound and nice crossover, its wicked to see Punk and DnB styles mashed up so mad! keep up da good stuff. pissed i missed the Gash party too :(
im speechless,,,,,,,,,,..AMAZINGGGG
Awesome song!!! I get a massive Transplants vibe from this (its the guitar at the start), its utterly ace. You guys is awesome.
So good at Sonisphere, SB6 were just the band I needed for a break from some meta. Roll on Friday night at Hevy.
Such energy and commitment!
sad to see the king blues go, but this is an amazing high energy track! Keep it UP!
not listened to you guys since arcade perfect...but i like what i'm hearin, defo coming back to manchester to see you guys at some point
Booooooooom!
They're back! :D
Awesome, just awesome.
You guys are amazing! Can't get enough of your brilliant music. Definitely gonna have to see you guys soon! Keep up the amazing work guys!
Good as always :D Keep it up!
looks like you had fun filmin this
I really LOVE this vid and the music! Awesome!!
awesome
Love it
I'm in two minds about this song. One one hand it doesn't sound too far removed from Arcade Perfect material, so not really building on the good work of City of Thieves. Taking my 'armchair-critic' hat off - on the other hand I loved Arcade Perfect and this is a tune!
@SirCanas Yes!
Sweet!
@mrpuck I contest. My favourite was Barney waving the baby doll. His child like grin showed genuine joy to behold such a thing..
Great Song :D Only just started liking SB6 fully last month and was gonna see them this month but unfortunately they put an 18+ Age restriction. Damn why couldn't my 18th Hurry up all ready :( Keep up the good work :D
Great video :-)
yeah amo SB6 vengan a mexico aaaaaaaaaaa.... mexico =DDD
@tokyochaser Somehow I doubt that they said 'You can't be in the video', he probably wasn't available for whatever reason.
BOOM!
Barney taught dappy all there is to know about hats. True story.
Nizzice.
dear
SB6... do you think you could organise a gig over burnley way. liking the newstuff btw
Barney's face at 1:35 = hilarious.
The best part: Layla doing the hoola hoop
@SirCanas 'Sunny Side of The Street' is definitely gonna be a single and a video, maybe sooner than later. But for now, enjoy the big bad bugger that is 'New Style Rocka!'
@mrpuck Yes it is!
When are you coming back home to Manchester? I really want to see you's live.
Absolutely fucking awesome
Fuck yes, such a class song.

@meinlc NEW STYLE ROCKA!
@Samrcircleabin I think thats Laila's brother man
Why the fuck is 'Rebecca Black - Friday' one of the suggested videos on the side?
@fayewiggle If you can't hear a ska influence in the verses, you must be deaf.
@samafc1
Jog On Troll
You People Make Me Question Humanity...
This is not my favorite at all...the ska influence and punk intensity is not there like it has been in the past. This is very radio friendly pop in my opinion. I'm disappointed because I know they can do so much better.
Plus why is the guest not in the video? That's kinda sad, here sing on our song, but we won't let you promote yourself in our music video. ODD.
BOOM!
