036 2019 Rapala Xplode Bustin' Tuna

Last month (April 2019) an intrepid team of Kiwi anglers set off on a personally guided Offshore Adventure to the Middle East with Tony Orton to target yellowfin tuna on topwater lures. The bite was wide open and gave the team the opportunity to test the new Rapala X-Rap Explode poppers and test them they did!
In this instalment of Journey of a Fisherman we take a look at the highlights reel from this trip of a lifetime and demonstrate just how effective the Rapala Xplode popper were. These easy to cast and swim lures accounted for a total of 36 of the 52 mega yellowfin tuna that were caught and stood up to the punishment dished out on the daily!
