This is one of the best versions of the plot I've seen hands down. I've laughed so hard watching this. I loved everything about it. The cast was superb and the twist was a cherry on top. With a happy ending...on to the next!!!

Second version I’m watching and so far I’m enjoying this one better. They made so many tweaks to the storyline and I’m loving it except them making it a game mode plot, we’ll see how it goes. In the other version the hidden identity took a bit but not so late into the drama, the ML first had to find out who she was in the palace cause she disguised when they met, before finding out that she’s the abandoned cold palace queen, then FL finds out he’s the king, before they found out her fam didn’t betray the kingdom. But here I’m 29:27 in and they have already found out everything including the fact that her family didn’t betray them. I guess we’re now at the point where the ML has to make FL fall in love with him and make her want to remain in the palace as his crowned princess while fighting any hurdles that come their way, it’s always nice to see relationship development between leads and I’m hoping there’s no stupidity from either party as I continue watching. Always loved FL, so glad she went from depressing roles that is always been bullied by her husband and 2FL who’s always staying with them BTW to this witty, bubbly, strong, smart FL! She’s good at both roles anyways cause she always makes me feel emotional in her former roles.
Idk if you have watched her other drama where.she played as female general. I liked her in that drama She's strong and badass. I saw their version from others but only half. Glad to see her in full drama of that plot and its very good.
This is a lighthearted and funny money-grubbing/In-novel version of the “Cold Palace/The little Eunuch turns out to be the Emperor”-story with really good actors and an interesting storyline, although the novel-arc is underdeveloped. There are also some editing issues. But, I liked this peppy/somewhat oblivious/money-grubbing FL and calm/passionate/powerful ML. Worth watching. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! In ancient times the Queen, the daughter of the Prime Minister, died in the Cold Palace. But at her funeral, a modern day woman (FL), who died in a car accident, somehow transmigrated into her body. When FL wakes up, she realizes that she is now in the body of an unfavored Queen who hasn’t even seen her husband, the Emperor (ML), before her death. Confined to the Cold Palace, without ressources, FL has to earn money by drawing erotic pictures and sell them to members of the royal household. One day, as she is veiled and drawing whom she thinks is the Emperor being intimate with a new concubine, she meets a young man (ML) on the roof from where she is watching the “show”. Not knowing that he is the real Emperor, she assumes that he is either a guard or a Eunuch and offers him to buy her drawings and home-brewed wine. Soon the two of them enter a game of cat and mouse as the Emperor tries to pursue FL and FL tries to earn enough money to leave the Palace. Well, not spoiling too much, this has a happy ending.
