I've worked at KFC.....our chicken was NEVER EVER put into the gravy. It comes into the location in a powder format, water is added...then a ladel of the grease out of the chicken friers(hennyPenny's) is added to the gravy.....it's then put into gravy containers. Also, we never reused our oil more than 2 days....or else your chicken would look black!!
I was thinking the same thing my aunt used to be a manager there and she is a huge germaphobe she never ever mentioned anything contaminated like that with the old chicken kind of sketchy but maybe some KFC franchises are different? idk..
i use to fix those henny penny friers and you're right as most KFC were run spotless and by the book however there were a few run by shady people (I think they were drug addicts) that had food so crappy and even one served me coleslaw that tasted like it was a week old spoiled I spit out on their floor on the first bite not only that they would not change the oil and their chicken tasted crappy also Found out later the reason they did that was the managers bonus depended on how much money she had saved the company that month from not wasting any food and when you give that deal to crack addicts they could care less what they do to get that extra money and that applies to every fast food franchise across the industry Went ahead and took pictures showing a guy behind the counter with his pants down to his knees along with some spoiled food and sent it to corporate and next thing I knew those stores were closed for what they called renovating which was really replacing all of the employees and getting rid of a bunch of spoiled food they were serving basically they jerked the franchise away from them for violations and sold it to a new owner I quit eating at any fast food places after finding most all of them would not pass any health inspection and found health inspectors in Austin TX were taking bribes as a way to allow extremely dirty places full of cockroaches dead and live mice getting into the food to stay open regardless of how filthy they were I would suggest everyone do the same unless you just want to eat cockroaches and dead mice parts in your food

Totally agree , I worked their in the 90's when they still called it Kentucky Fried Chicken , and the mash pototaes were instant, and the gravy was nothing but powder and hot water. Also we made biscuits from scratch, but now pre-frozen. And first time popcorn chicken was introduced it was a complete failure. By the time I moved on they started changing the name to KFC and years later attempted delivery which also didnt last more than about a year.
As for the price of the iPhones you don’t account for all the marketing, sales, logistics etc into the price. Yeah they’re still expensive but so is every other smart phone out there. The cost isn’t just about what it cost to make an item but everything else that goes into the final sale of any product.
Kfc Gravy is acully a gravy powder that u add 3oz of water at 200° and just mix it no chicken is put into it same with the mash the mash is just a Mixture or dryed potato flakes that u mix with hot water takes about 25sec to make and saves alot of time think of it like instant potatos
