Such a sharp mind. Able to freestyle any time, memorise, repeat the lyrics later, still has a full encyclopedia of all the DJs and sound systems he respects in his head, incredible mind and heart. I've heard some of his freestyles. King Yellowman was legendary! Sad to hear he had such a rough upbringing, and his battle with cancer.
Despite all that life was supposed to beat him.. it didn’t funny how God works
Respect to Yellowman. Definetely an artist that has Persevered and Achieved and showed his true greatness as a musician and a Jamaican. Blessed Love!!!
Big Big Respect to King Yellowman, I was your biggest fan when I was living in JA 1979 to 1985. Still play your tunes till this day. Peace

This man has accomplished so much! Beating albinism, cancer, surgery... conquering the music industry...Real King Yellowman. I love the collabo with his daughter Kreema.
I went to Jamaica when I was a youth, yellowman made me understand my heritage.❤️💛💚 Before I went to Kingston.
I remember Yellowman from the 80s, his music was big. But I didn't see him in concert til the 90s when he came to Hawaii.

I LOVE this man. Yellowman and Fathead are two of my favorite artists of all time, across all genres. They speak to my soul. So good to see him in this video, and he looks GREAT.
Yellow and Fat together is magic
I played that tape to death ☠️
I admire this time in reggae and dancehall. such amazing showmanship! A time in music that is completely underrated
I had a chance to meet him in Seattle, WA, 2 or 3 years ago at the Red Lounge. I cry out of great appreciation, for meeting the king of Dancehall. I will forever love and respect him.
I just moved to Seattle and Red Door is a nice place.
l just love listing to you king yellowman
I cried while listening to your childhood story. You are my hero!
1Love from Italy.
I can't believe that Jamaicans really scorn him by covering the Mike. We were so ignorant.
Very judgemental and hateful
I can believe it...mean people suck
Are so ignorant*
I remembered as a little girl in 1988 he went to perform in Liberia and his concert was grand. I am so sad to hear about his condition. May God heal him.
Great Interview, very interesting to learn about the history/ inception of Dancehall music. Living legend King Yellowman!
Amazing documentary. Love jamaican music
Was his face always like this? I listened to him since a kid but never made the connection he was albino... I don't care about color. Or looks.. I care about the vibration coming through to my ears and my heart. He truly touched me and now more than ever. One love and thank you for this
malaihiboi NO. He survived jaw cancer back in the 1980s. The surgery left his face deformed.
his face was not like that he has cancer
🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲😇😇😇 I think if he was deformed from birth... beyond albinoism... this caused the rebuking business. Whoever gave him that chance n recognized his vocal performance power is an awesome studio man, producer, prento and sound!😇😇😇🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
@Mr Lex no need for going and look back ,in this interview has clips in his prime as a youth smh
Blessings to you. I met you in Jamaica on my first night there. This was 14yrs ago and I ran up to him. Letting him know that I loved his music since a teenager. He was so lovely and humble. I was shocked by the side of his face but that soon disappeared as he put me at ease with pure LOVE in his eyes. Thanking me for enjoying his music. I have met a few famous people but he is the nicest one ever. Xx 💜🌟💜
Some of this brought me to tears! :( I Love King Yellow Man! Got to see him in the early 80's in San Diego, Ca!
One of the ultimate “turn a negative to a positive” stories of all time. Love his music b/c it’s dope, admire the man b/c he is an inspiration to humanity.
