Nope. Giles Goren is a respected BBC journalist. The Royal Family told the BBC that if they didn't get him to retract, they would have fire him. He was forced to sign a legal document walking it back. He also gave permission for a book to print his retraction. Quite a few people were threatened and forced to sign retraction. If this so-called affair actually happened, then Princess Catherine deserves an Oscar! Even back when this rumour began there was no obvious change in her. She went about her duties as usual. As a huge British fan of your show, you kept me laughing during lockdown, I thought this piece was beneath you. The person who originated this story of an affair between William and one of Catherine's close friends has since admitted he totally made it up.
At the moment the Prince and Princess of Wales are coping with two major health problems in their close family and being mercilessly attacked on the internet, with the British media also having a go at them. I think she's had some type of gynae surgery such as a pelvic floor repair or hysterectomy after having 3 children. I wouldn't want people knowing about that. She probably looks ill and didn't want to be seen like that. A good photographer could have still taken a good picture of her recovering rather than the photoshop picture being released. Having said that, I'm always fiddling with photoediting, she or whoever did it obviously just tried to get everyone to look nice but it was a crazy thing to release.
