I have a doubt regarding Federated learning. Suppose if we have 2 remote workers like x and y, is it like the server sends the model as a whole to both x and y at a time and both train models locally at a time and send it back to the server and the server aggregates. Or is it like first the server send the model to x and x trains and sends the updates to server and then sender send those updates to y and y trains and send the updates to server and repeating? Pls do clear my doubt for it as in openminded blog it states that they do one after another and not parallely.

The architectures I know of train parallely and update simultaneously at the server

Thanks for giving valuable information, can you please suggest to me, how this learning applicable in activity recognition

Think of any scenario where data is distributed and you can’t get data to a centralised location. See if such a scenario is applicable in activity recognition

Sir thanks for your prompt reply, Can you please advise, I am getting sensor data from mobiles, in this case, which model/method is useful in Federated learning sir.

You need to a literature search to find which algorithms would be suitable for this activity
