    Best Cuba video I've seen yet. Thank-you! I was there 15 years ago and would love to return - quite a bit has changed.

    Hello, Israel. I am Cuban from La Habana, living in the U.S. since I was child. The Cuban capitol building is, indeed, very similar to the U.S. capitol, but you are correct about something....the Cuban capitol building is one meter taller, one meter deeper and one meter wider than the one in Washington, DC. In addition, the Cuban one is much richer in architectural details. It was completed in 1929, and it took some 5,000 workers 3 years and 3 months to build it. It is a beautiful construction to behold! I miss my Havana. 😢

    I have been to Havana twice.
    Your information is very accurate and informative.
    As for the currency exchange, never use the official offices, you can get four times the rate outside!

    We visited Habana (their spelling) for 5 days in Oct. 2019. We loved it. Very pretty city, very friendly people, good food, The state of some of the buildings is sad - they’re unable to do some maintenance because of lack of supplies because of the US embargo on the country. The politicians live a very comfortable life, the ordinary citizen struggles to make a decent life.

      Gracias 🙂 la cuenta fue de un restaurante. Los precios en los restaurantes en la Habana son algo altos pero así cuesta comer bien en Cuba… Los ingredientes son difíciles de conseguir (según ellos)

    I think what people meant is that you went to the most touristy restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. There are a lot of really nice paladars, restaurants, bars, etc outside of the malecon and Havana Vieja. Many of the restaurants you went to were higher than what you would pay for a meal in NY which isnt realistic for all of Havana.

    👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 You have produced one the best videos on Havana I have watched Israel ( Top quality production ) ... $25 🤑 for 1 or 2 Mohitjos ... WOW... That is robbery ... I would only stay 2 -3 days in havana and then stay All-Inclusive in Varadero at a 4 or 5 Star Hotel ( Newer the Hotel the better )

    • @IsraelPlata
      @IsraelPlata  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you 🙂 yes! food and drinks in Havana are a rip off 😅 In my case it was the opposite. I stayed most of the time in Havana and only 2 days in Varadero. I don’t think I would want to stay longer than 2 days in Varadero because there’s nothing to do there besides the beautiful beaches.

    • @dinodinosaur2930

      @@IsraelPlata Oh, from Varadero you can do the tour to the " Bay of Pigs " boat ride to special Island designed like a Native Village where special Cuba's go for their Honeymoon... Sugar Plantation tour were you ride a old steam train ... Horse riding on the beach etc etc 😎🍹

    You actually paid 25 $ for a mohito? 😅 thats more expensive than Europe.... Cuba is not expensive its that you are an inexperienced traveler so you get caught in every tourist trap. Or you are rich so you dont care

    In cuba yes we have internet but it is very expensive ,the city is beatifull yes if you stick to the tourist places in havana, the same can be said about segurity in cuba the foreigners are untouchables by law but that doesnt mean you cant get rob or else if you stumble on at a bad neighborhood at a bad time. It is a good place for tourist not so much for us cuban for us is a fucking hell.
