I thanked him for the character of Scotty and he said, "No no, thank YOU. Because without you being you, I wouldn't have gotten to be me." I will never forget that.

It's so weird watching voyager for the very first time. I had no idea I would like the characters as much as I do. Janeway is warmer and way more likable than I assumed. For some unfounded reason I thought I wouldn't like neelix and that was quickly stamped out. 3 seasons in, I'm really enjoying it! Watching a few episodes every day

I had the joy of seeing Kate Mulgrew in Tea at Five, written by Matthew Lombardo a one woman play about Katharine Hepburn in 2002, sadly the Hepburn family limited the production to Connecticut an only a couple of shows of which only snippets of bootleg video of it exists. As all her roles she nailed it.

I would have told her Scottish accent is easier then she knows, just read Terry Pratchett’s We Free Men…me it’s always was English accent then I married one (An English Man) now I can’t bloody well stop sound at the very least Canadian. Lol 😂
i was very surprised by this too. As a Brit living in England with Scottish and irish relatives I find the two accents quite similar in many ways. I find it hard to switch between them rapidly because i end up confusing myself. The placement of scottish is just a little wider and rounder in the tongue at the back. irish is more sing-song in intonation... Perhaps with Kate as she is so irish-dominant it's harder to make the switch because it's similar enough to make it more difficult. Also I think a lot of Americans struggle with the glottal stop. Even as a Brit I find the Geordie accent incredibly challenging.
Hollywood finally cast the part of a woman star fleet officer with a woman star fleet officer and she made a real impact on society by actually going in to outer space and fighting aliens and stuff
Just wondering if you were able to get the Enterprise, DS9, Voyager and the Discovery panel? I missed most of them while waiting on autographs or photos.
She played the Janeway character well, but the bullying of Jeri Ryan during the series' run and the completely needless trash talk of Geneviève Bujold during many of her convention chats has completely soiled her.
She didn't have a problem on mr Mercedes with sex I was disappointed in her I thought her standards were higher But I still a a star trek fan either way.
