This happened to me at Coach one time. I picked out the bag I wanted. The sales assistant went in the back to wrap it up and somehow gave me a completely different bag. The only similarity was the colour; they were two different sized and different styles of totes. I took my shopping bag and left. Luckily, I walked into another store and the sales person there asked if she could see the bag I had bought. The Coach store had recently opened in our city (we have no high-end luxury stores) and everyone was excited about it. I was happy to show her and pulled it out of the bag, and then just looked at her shocked. “That’s not my bag!” She was all confused. I explained, then left to go back to Coach to get my actual bag. I was so grateful that someone had asked to see it, because I wouldn’t have checked before going home and I live 50 km outside of the city. I would have been so angry had I driven all the way home with the wrong bag!
Regardless of the *condup* bag or any other factors, I fervently believe that without the proper expertise, one would not be able to distinguish the appearance of the bag or the changes in the metal parts.

The ‘Green’ on your receipt isn’t the colour of the bag. It’s the style of the le pliage that has tonal leather ( not the brown leather). It’s green as in eco friendly. Hope you get it sorted x

I very recently returned from Japan, original planned to buy either a vintage Chanel or a brand new Dior Caro, but after having been to so many second hand luxury shops in Japan, I ended up settling down on a brand new Celine. The customer service was exceptional and it’s been almost a month since I purchased the bag, I am loving it so much that I use it almost everyday. Love Celine!

Spending $20,000 on a tote bag is the obvious choice, rather than spending $200 on a *condup* bag and investing the remaining $19,800 since a $20,000 bag is unlikely to increase in value.

Yes, I do! I am very curious to see how it wears with use. I am hoping it gets a bit more slouchy and comfortable while still maintaining some shape. The leather is tougher/stronger than I was expecting. I think it will be able to withstand use. It is my first Dior purchase. I wish there were a size between medium and large though! The large feels huge but I liked the longer straps on the large compared to the medium.
sucks that we now have to worry about this. for me it was at chanel Dec 2023 when I bought the pink travel flap, when I finally opened it March 2024 to use the next day and needed to use the dust bag at the airport, is when I realized the dust bag they gave me was too small. i was livid. now I have to go back to chanel and ask for the right size. how annoying.
I have a terrible experience with their store in Venice, they charged me and gave me wrong size bag 2 times + they didn't want to refund me the difference in price even though it was their mistake, but they gave it to me in coupons. I think it's a shameful business, because in this way they forced me to buy something from them again, even though the mistake was theirs, not mine.

Sorry this happened to you. I bought Longchamp bags from store twice and no issue (1 from Düsseldorf/Germany and 1 from Palma de Mallorca/Spain) and both times their service was excellent. It is even easier to buy their bags online which is what I mostly do. Bought 5 bags online and no problems so far. I always considered Longchamp one of the very few last "decent" brands when it comes to service. Your story makes me nervous to buy in store again though...had planned to do it on my next holiday but now I think I'd rather buy online again.
Don't let my experience put you off. The store experience was great for me. It was a shame they gave me wrong colour. However I would suggest if you go into store to double check before leaving and also get the contact details of the SA so that if you have any issues you can go back directly to that person and not rely on customer services.
I have the expandable black travel bag with the brown trim and the large crossbody strap. I have had it for ten years, I use every time I travel and it still looks brand new, matches everything I wear to travel and every suitcase I own. Ge the right one! Love Longchamp, and yes, once they packaged the wrong bag for me at the Vienna store which I would not have known had I not double checked. Mistakes happen as long as they do right by the customer, alls well that ends well:)

The bag is from their recycled ‘green’ line which could be why the receipt states green; the ears/tabs are glazed bright green on that line and they have some beautiful colours but it’s not as nicely finished off as their old Club line was. I’ve been disappointed by how I recently received a small Longchamp bag, just no care with packaging. I feel quality is sliding everywhere.
That is really annoying. The correct thing for Longchamp to do is replace it for you. It is definitely their staff issue. Ppl makes mistakes, but it's how they rectify it that matters. I love Longchamp so I do hope they do the right thing. Please keep us updated.

Try traveling to Tokyo Japan they sell Original lux brands for less like LV , Channel , Gucci ,Coach ,YSL etc for less its still more pricey than the fakes and still in good condition i just dont know how the costoms works in the USA if they will still tax you 2nd hand lux items but sure either buy the brand new *esluxs* you want or travel half the world away to buy 2nd hand lux items for few days that also includes your plane ticket hotel accomodations for how many days food and goodie stuffs for families and friends and other expencess but they said " original LV Bag from Japan for less " or just travel to Bangkok thailand and visit the Platinum Mall buy as many replica bags all you want w/o the hassel
That is really unbelievable and very incompetent on their part, particularly with the wrong color on the receipt. They absolutely need to give you the black bag in exchange for the grey one with no questions asked and prepaid postage as well! It’s a shame we have to inspect every little item, but unfortunately, in this stage, we sure do.🙃. The only thing I could add is I wish you had called them right from the station to explain immediately. But I know you were running short on time.
