Im impressed at everything you bought for "Peter" and I would go with the old school round headlights Myself. However your choices have been point on. Now remember ride low in the seat and have a long shifter. Take it from and old school retired trucker Amigo. Keep on Trucking!! P.S. Go with the 18speed. Something about the way it clicks right into gear is a soothing sound. Grinding on the other hand...Not so Much. lol
The Pete is coming along nicely. Glad to see that you are keeping some polished parts on the truck. Cant go wrong with a black truck with polished accents.
Man love the build, love the truck I'm never seen steps so nice, I would have done and bought everything you did. Keep up the good work can't wait for the next vid!😁😀✌✌✌
That's a pretty bare bones dash. Better start ordering some gauges and switches and a 13 speed trans with one of those sticks that comes thru the floor.
If you want good interior there’s a guy in Washington that does button tucked interior for semis we’ve done it several times as my dad is a multi time truck show winner from preterbilt in Joplin mo
Awesome awesome video Greg A, awesome progress on the ol Pete lol. I hope you went with 8” or 10” flat top monster stacks without mufflers lol just straight through.
GREG! Look into A&A Stainless brand visors! You literally will not be disappointed They look incredible Can get them in all sorts of designs Also for the roof, rear fenders and really anything fiberglass related definitely check out Talladega Fiberglass
Same company that did all the stainless for the truck we just sold. Blind bumper, 10 inch flat cut stacks, visor, and a bunch of others. We had Talladega Gangsta double humps on the back. Matter of fact not sure if they still do, but the truck was on AA’s website for their 10 inch 379 stack kit!
Jeff Becoskey literal top teir companies for custom parts are A&A, 12 ga customs, talladega, jones performance, jj prodducts, pypes exhaust, dynaflex and trux I wont use anything else
First of all ,all the added commercial throw in really sucks. Second of all did I miss something about the Peterbilt ,what's its purpose pull , drag, hauler, show or just spend money on?
Ah I see now why the tanks were under the doors. Most 379's unless either were daycabs or ordered weren't there. So obviously someone put that truck together. Plus how stubby it looked with that bigger sleeper on it. Good luck it's coming along good. If you look up eazyrider on TH-cam he's redoing a 359. He just replaced the roof cap on his. What a messy job. Prepare for a mess of fiberglass dust
Here's an interesting question... Is it chrome or polished where you come from? Where I'm from it's chrome, even if it isn't actually chrome plated. or maybe i'm just a fucking idiot. And btw you should've done black tanks with chrome straps.
Color match tanks, leave straps polished. And yes black insert for steps. Then color match straps for the stacks..
Just a thought, me personally, I would go with a black headliner with a grey or silver wrench works logo centered on it.
Maybe even a silver or chrome or dark grey wrench works logo on the truck itself
Classic Greg a making us wait for the quality content. Not mad cause he's the only one with good diesel content and it keeps getting better
Pussy Eater 338 is a fucking moron... good content??? He hasn’t had anything good for over 2 years...FUCKING GARBAGE!

Im so pumped about this build!!! You should run old school 7.5in round headlights with the signals on the mirrors 👍 like this if yall agree
While you have the roof cap off replace your cab coax .. browning or Belden is good
Black tanks...polished straps love this build.....hope you ordered 10" stacks
10" arent a good idea... especially since they get in the way of the mirrors majorly. Could update to the newer mirrors.
Not something I would build, but looking forward to see this build. When are you going to finish the 2nd gen?
this thing is gonna be absolutely beautiful! I would love to see this thing stay as a day cab, but i know youre putting the small sleeper on
Don’t forget the panels that mount below the cab, between the steps and the hood. They were removed to mount the tanks below the cab.
Call Pete with the vin and ask them if it was originally a DC or SC. If sleeper what style sleeper was on it!
Greg the pete needs big round single headlights
Dale Edwards yes classic Pete look
I agree!
I do agree, but those classic 379 head lights aren’t bad either, I like them better then the new 389 headlights
I agree 👍
Was thinking the same on the round headlights
My heart sank when I saw the electronic gear selector on the dash 😞 379's deserve better lol
He did say in a video that he was wanting to drop out the ultra shift and put in a 13 or 18
I’ve been gone from TH-cam videos for awhile. Super pumped that Greg a is gonna do a Pete build! Good stuff.

Paint match thanks with polished straps. You'll fall in love. Also paint match visor and air cleaners with polished trim.
Hey Greg you know what would be cool convert the race trailer over to fifth wheel and haul it with the peterbuilt
Man love the build, love the truck I'm never seen steps so nice, I would have done and bought everything you did. Keep up the good work can't wait for the next vid!😁😀✌✌✌
Black tanks chrome straps.
7 more months before another video of it.
Minimum of polished stuff looks the best. Like paint matched tanks with polished straps and painted air tanks with polished hoses
Paint the tanks leave the ends polished and the straps polished...and do same on air tanks.
Man love the project! Check out shark hide for you polished aluminum. It’s like a sealer that will keep them shiny a lot longer stuff is awesome!
Amodel71. He had a 357" wheelbase A kw with a 36" sleeper...looks cool as hell...might think about a twinsticks setup for that old school look
Im just praying there 8in flat cut stacks
i think we all are lol
10
Please don't put 10 on
Can’t wait for this thing to get done. Not a fan of the square headlights but trust that Greg A has got this under control haha
Good to see he decided to do chrome instead of black, semis just look better with the chrome parts. The pickups look better with the black parts.
Greg once you get the new top on and finished you should have Ryan do a starlight headliner!
You should lose the sleeper all together and get a nice black trailer so you can tow the drag truck, the 1st gen on an open trailer with the peter
When are you going to put a stick in it to replace the autoshift,?
I think he all ready did because one or 2 videos back he was shifting
Its on his agenda
Put inside glow in the cab and completly straight pipe it
Saw a truck with paint matched tanks and chrome wide straps. I hate chrome and I thought it looked pretty awesome.
For the visor u need an upside down bow tie trust me it’ll look badass it makes the truck look mean (for when the flat top is on)
I could never step on those pretty steps 😍. They’d end up on display in my living room.
color match the tanks but leave the end caps chrome, color match the air breathers but leave straps and vents chrome.
Paint match the tank brackets that will make the chrome polish pop big time
Hope your swapping the auto trans for a manual?
920gamez I’ve literally been scrolling to see if someone else was thinking that too haha. Maybe a 13 or a 18 speed
If your replacing the dashboard gauges I’m interested in buying them
Your videos are like a treat because there so rare
I think that's an ultracab conversion, wonder if that was a glider kit truck because of the auto and all the cab stuff they did
Drew L was thinking same thing
That's a pretty bare bones dash. Better start ordering some gauges and switches and a 13 speed trans with one of those sticks that comes thru the floor.
If you want good interior there’s a guy in Washington that does button tucked interior for semis we’ve done it several times as my dad is a multi time truck show winner from preterbilt in Joplin mo
the cab looks close to a pickup cab in width/size
Greg what are you doing with the 379 I still haven't figured that out maybe I missed it in one of your videos Steve
Wait so how do you make money again?
What you need to do on the fuel tanks is paint them black but leave the bands chrome
Hell ya I want to see some dirt drags!
When you first got the pete home I thought it wouldn't fit in the garage looks, like you've raised the roof or just bigger door
Dont forget the lights on top of the cab before you get too carried away!
No cab lights. Hide em on the top of the visor
Replace horns with bullet lights definitely!
Awesome awesome video Greg A, awesome progress on the ol Pete lol. I hope you went with 8” or 10” flat top monster stacks without mufflers lol just straight through.
If you don’t already have stacks you should have swanky steel custom make you some I bet he could make some sick ones!
Trucking awesome in Texas can hook you up with the interior kit . They did a awesome job on my 359 pete
How they welding those braked to the chassis . Braked are aluminum 🤔
Huck bolts aren't they?
In Greg we trust, amen

Are you going to be putting air horns back on it
Super excited to see the semi come together it’s gonna be sick
I vote chevron/bowtie visor on the pete!
Will the 2 gen ever get finished?
Love this build! Keep it going with the heavy duty stuff if possible
Hey I could really use the front bumper with the lights on my build how much do you want for it?
Finally something that's not totally blacked out. Polish ftw
How much will it be cost after repaire?
Greg check out roadsknz in big lake minnesota he does stainless wraps and has plates for your steps.
What are you going to do with the truck
Them smoothie steps need some wrench workz logos in grip tape on them👌
I would advice against sectioning the sleeper boot . It will leak
Greg as a Big Fan, how do you afford all these toys? Lotto, Oil, Bank Jobs? Keep up the great videos.
Me: oh wow Greg isn’t wearing a hat again
Nobody:............
you should paint the visor black
This truck would look so damn mean all black.
What is he building on the semi?
Vanderhaags for used parts great company use ext 7617 Gerry
For new aftermarket parts 4statestruck
Send them off to 5 states i believe, the cut end out an put lexan end in to see in
First of all ,all the added commercial throw in really sucks. Second of all did I miss something about the Peterbilt ,what's its purpose pull , drag, hauler, show or just spend money on?
Hope you take the automatic transmission off and put a 13 or 18 speed on it
Plans are 18 speed
14:00 why did I say falling and yang in my head 2 sec b4 he said it
Paint Mach straps look great
Those fuel tanks will look trash with the polished air tanks and polished intake separators. You should of polished them.
You went all out, good job Greg !
Why the flat top look looks good having a standup cab
hell no son
How long till he gets over the polish and blacks it out 😂
Never stand in front of a huck bolt when you burn it. The heads can fly off with great force. :-)
Great to finally meet you at blackout truck looked sick🤘🏻
If Greg didn’t get 10inch stacks I’m going to be sad but damn I’m so excited to see a pete built by Greg it will be perfect in and out
Ah I see now why the tanks were under the doors. Most 379's unless either were daycabs or ordered weren't there. So obviously someone put that truck together. Saw your burn out on Facebook from beer money tractor pulling team page gotta say bro full send on that one 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Welcome to the 4 states world greg.
Awesome ! Can’t wait to see the stacks 😬💨💨
paint match the steps, tank straps and air cleaner straps
Glad you got a head cam
See y’all tomorrow at beans!!
I find it funny the music is straight out of Truck Simulator
If the peterbilt gets bagged, then you wouldn't have to worry about the stacks hitting the roof.
Depends how tall the stacks are and how tall the door is. When. I drop the air in mine it doesnt lower that much
Are you converting it to a single round headlight?
Get full fenders
It's a beaut Clark
Here's an interesting question... Is it chrome or polished where you come from? Where I'm from it's chrome, even if it isn't actually chrome plated. or maybe i'm just a fucking idiot.
And btw you should've done black tanks with chrome straps.
Powder coat the steps
Just did my 05 all up!!!
