      Hi Elizabeth, yeah, I am very lucky to live in such a wonderful place. Plus, do what I love doing for a living. Live is great if you let it be. Cheers, Greg 😊.

    I don't know if this would work for you. We use wide rubber bands to keep the claws closed, so the crabs can't fight. The go on fast & easy and can be reused too. Nice video!

      Hi mate that's a good idea if you are only catching them for your self. We catch them to sell so we would not be able to reuse the band. Thank you for your comment I like the idea just not suitable for professional. Cheers Greg 😊.

    Where do you get your crab pots from? Ever though of using the same style pots that they use in the n.t?

      Hi mate I buy all my crab pots now from Jay at ultimate pro crab pot. They are the best crabpot I have ever used, top quality and great catchers. Hope that helps cheers Greg 😊.

    Hey Greg. What part of the country do you crab mate? Awesome looking system you are working in. Also how long would you leave a pot in the one spot just checking and rebating each day before you decide to move it? Love your work. Braden from CQ.

      Hi mate I crab and fish in the Mackay area in northqueenland. I like to shift my crabpot most days. That is just my personal thing some crabbers may not agree. What ever you do make sure you put fresh bait in each day. Cheers Greg 😊.

      I've made a few pots from trolleys I've found under bridges today keen as to see how they go so I can put them in the main channel now as we've just had a heap of rain and my circle pots keep getting washed away

      Hi mate wow that's very interesting. We see a lot of these jellyfish up our creeks. The box jellyfish are with them some time. They are very dangerous so you need to avoid them. If you do get stung the thing is pour vinegar over the area. Cheers Greg 😊. 😊 the

    What is the rope tided to your left leg

    • @theaussiefisherman1831
      @theaussiefisherman1831  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate I tie the rope from my leg to the kill switch on the motor handle. Just in case I accidentally fall out of the boat. That way if I fall out the boat doesn't keep going away. We have a lot of crocodiles here where I crab so I don't want to be in the water to long. It's is a good safety thing to do. Hope that helps cheers Greg 😊. 😊
