me too!!! Ive been needing to find a solid idea for my manga for a while. (I think I might go for the flower idea, with Elizabeth being the guardian being protected.)
I want to write a story about a team of magical girls who work for a organization who helps protect the universe. To join you have to go through schools to train. In their final year the students are randomly generated by a computer based on their strengths, personality, and compatibility into teams of 5. The teams carry out Lower level missions and must work for a year together. After that year is up they can decide to stay together as a team or change. The main character team does not work well together. One of them has a conflict because they wanted to be with their group of friends but they are now stuck with this group of people they don’t like or know well. They have a lot of conflict and need to learn how to become friends, work together as a team, and other team work stuff. In the end the girls decide to stay together as a teams. Feel free to use my idea since even if I do make this story both of our stories will turn out very different :) I just need to work on the character design, character personality, writing, and world building. And I’ve been struggling with those
Honestly the hero point system storyline reminded me of a magical girl story I called "One Star Magical Girl" where being magical warriors is like a public service like ride share drivers, where the public can give magical warriors star ratings based on their performance. The main character is actually a trainer who runs a gym to help struggling magical warriors, and is assigned to train a surprisingly powerful magical girl that for some reason keeps consistently getting one star ratings despite the enormous good she does.
All these ideas are amazing and really creative. I'm currently writing a story about an academy that trains magical girls to protect the world from demons and there will be a universal demon attack in a couple of years that the magical girls and the non magical people who work with the magical girls don't know about (yet). It's not amazing, but I've been given some positive feedback and I'm sort of proud of it, though I may improve it. I usually have trouble updating though
I like that ‘Guardians of Nature connected to the environment, therefore their death kills the world itself’. I know the idea wasn’t exactly this and I’ve twisted it, but I like it either way! Definitely using it!
I’ve recently been more obsessed with transformation type heroes. Rangers appealing to my guy side and Magical Girls being somehow nice recently. Especially the ‘cute girls fighting’ genre. I love fictional martial arts! (Like in Vivid Striker)
I really like the 12th and 16th idea, and probably planning to use that... But instead of "can transform through the power of children's happiness", I'm planning to changed it into MC can transform into magical girl through children/adult sadness. And the reason why the Doll become a magical girl are because of her Dollmaker's wishes. If MC failed to fulfill the wishes after 5 years, she will turned into unfinished wooden doll (no hair, no dress, no face, etc) It probably sounds dark, but not as dark as Madoka Magica and Magical Girl Site because I don't want my magical girl series went too over-dark 😅
That's a really hard line to straddle correctly, without just turning it into DC Universe "Watchmen" levels of hopeless, pointless anguish. PMMM, at least, had a strong overriding concept of finding hope even amidst all the despair.
These are all really nice ideas! I have this idea of a magical girl series, but one thing I hate is coming up with concepts, but feeling like I have no sense of purpose, so this video really helped put some pieces together ♡
I've been thinking of creating my own original tragic dark fantasy/psychological/dark magical girl story ever since i've watched Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Yuki Yuna, and Magical Girl Site. I LOVED the psychological and horiffying aspect of the dark fantasy & the magical girl genre. Thank you so much!!!
Wow, I love all of these ideas. Number 13 is my favorite and I hope I can make a good story for it. Fairy tales are some of my favorite stories from how messed up they can be so redeeming the villains seems like a fun twist.
I wanna make a magical girl story where a girl from a different world works in a group of super villain sneaks into society as a spy to try and get rid of their enemy but realizes that society is more different then they expected and ends up getting inspired by a magical girl and wants to become good instead of evil. Is this a trope thats too overused or is it a good idea?
I’m working on a concept for magical girls that have a Dues ex Machina theme, and are chosen by their school to kill some kind of monsters. I’d like it to have some darker tones as well.
Just found this in my recommendation and I love these ideas! I wanted to do something with magical girls for fun, but the only thing I could come up with were dessert themed magical characters and powers with these ancient power sources called Sugar Shards that give anyone who touches them the powers in order to help their desire become a reality, except most take them to a bad route of getting what they want, so a team of college students are passed down wands with the shards in them to help stop the others. Except I didn't have a clear insight to an antagonist so I kind of dropped it. Also noticed how similar it is to Miraculous Ladybug so I still don't have a clue if I should try to continue that project or even if my ideas are good enough or how to make it better.
I know this is a year old comment but I just want to say that dessert themed magical girls sounds like such a cute idea, I would love to see that. The concept of selfish desires turning people evil is found on other magical girl content so I don’t think is too similar to miraculous, they just also went with that concept. Also I think an antagonist that is somehow based on bitterness could be cute if you want to go for something light hearted, you could draw parallels between bitter and sweet and happy and sad with the antagonist wanting everyone to feel as bitter as them and the magical girls bringing sweetness back to everyone. In any case I hope you didn’t drop this concept, I really liked it~
Amusingly Idea#13 is similar to a ttrpg that came out a year or two back. You play as fairy tale villains that have been tasked with saving the real world in return for getting a happy ending. Standing in your way is all the fairytale heroes who have been twisted into villainous versions of themselves and the mysterious force causing it. Also the moral dilemma of earning your new ending will have repercussions in the real world.
Ohhh that sounds good. Do you mean magical girl stories set in school, or more like fantasy ideas set in school? I would be happy to make an ideas video for this! 🙂
I got my own set of motif ideas for magical girl stories that I want to write. -elements, magic, fairies -fairytales, princesses, dreams -mermaids, music, fashion -dancing, 70s fashion, outer space -sweets, Hansel and Gretel, Candyland -colors, nature, 60’s fashion -superheroes, animals, justice -angels and demons, virtues and vices, endless skies, and infernal flames -fantasy, rpg classes, adventures -gemstones, trump cards, fashion designing
Not bad.... I had this story called 'Love Corp Angelicer'[will have 2 'seasons' as 'Love Corp Angelicer', season 2 adding Shizuka Akabane {Red} to the team of Miyuki Fubuki{Yellow} (The *MAIN* character), Mami Hoshikawa{Blue} and Saori Odaka{Pink}, season 3 introduces an all-new cast and from there.... Each season will introduce a new team, new villains, but season 4 will be the exception and get a sequel season] on my Wattpad drafts, but some of these sound awesome, the era one(If I do it, it may be called something like Era Star Angelicer) especially, but it does seem kinda hard to make these ideas into episodic shows ala PreCure(my main inspiration) that are aimed at the same audience as Sentai/Cure the plot of the first season{only one that had Angelicer explanation} was that Miyuki Fubuki, a normal blonde student, who often is found drawing and doesn't like physical contact(basically Yayoi from Smile with additional elements of SDRA2 character Iroha Nijue, whose design was confirmed to be based on the aforementioned Cure) finds and saves a cat-like being named Azura(the 'pet' of the *ORIGINAL* Yellow) who tells her(Azura's mistress taught her how to speak) that she's the descendant of the original Yellow, and that she must team up with other girls to fight evil, in episode 1 it's just Miyuki/Angel Yellow, in the second episode Mami/Angel Blue(an idol) joins, and in episode 3 Saori/Angel Pink(Heiress to Odaka Group, an international conglomerate) joins. In the second season some underlings(who had never been seen before) are trying to revive their leader, yet the 'life' of them had split AGES AGO, the good half had became Shizuka Akabane, who must join in fighting the underlings of her evil half as Angel Red. The rough idea for the third one 'Fairytale Angelicer' is the reincarnation of 2 characters(haven't decided yet who, their names, but I know one will be white[the main here] and black) must fight something created by the villains of several tales coming together Season 4(and 5) will probably be the time-based one, with only one change, the girl from the present becomes the MC[she'll be Pink, the Roman girl will be Red, the future girl will be Purple, the medieval girl will be green, the Victorian girl will be Blue, and the Feudal Japanese girl{a Miko} will be rainbow], and the sequel will add a girl from the post-WWII era, who will be Yellow on transforming. As for where it will go from there... I haven't thought that far ahead, It may even not reach the time based one, or Fairytale may get a second season as well?
I'm so glad I found this!!! I was obsessed on magical girls (Precure especially) since quarantine. I have this I dead in my head of a Precure story called Shapes of hope Precure or 🌟Kibō no katachi purikyua🌟 I'll explain the details later 👍🏻
Hey I have an idea “ what if the main character was actually part of the bad guys and maybe they were ordered to infiltrate the magical Girls but then she ends up becoming a magical girl And fights with them 🥰😍
From the first idea ERA GUARDIANS (even if I may not use it) I got a funny scene where the girls will be stuck in a century and the are hiding in the tree, trying to make sure that the Apple doesn't fall on the young lad sitting under it. And this single act changing history or science as we all may know today. Don't ask if they were floating up their or not.
I planning to make a comic about magical girl kitties that fight evil spirits from making destruction in their kingdom and all the characters are animals.
Thank you so much!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 I like idea 2 & 9! I'm happy to say that I'm progressing with the magical girl idea!!!! Thanks to your encouragement to revisit it again!!!!!! In my mind, I had pictured the protagonist's transformed state similar to the design of Sailor Pluto, but with purple eyes so it looks like aesthetically she looks like the northern lights. I actually think I have strong layered backstory!!! At last!!!! 😭😭😭😭 I think one of the central themes is how to deal with sudden change (still debating whether to use this idea; as a theme; but instinctively feels like a good idea, because the main character has some anxiety issues) I have a question. Have you ever come across ideas & concepts that instinctively feel good but doubted yourself for it? How do you deal with that?
I am so pleased that you are continuing with the magical girl idea!! I would love to see more magical girl manga be created! 💖 I also really love the idea of your protagonist's transformed state similar to Sailor Pluto. Sailor Pluto is honestly one of my favourite of the sailor scouts. I definitely have come up with ideas in the past that I have doubted myself for. Though, I think that is an important part of the creative process. Not every idea will be perfect, and that's okay. The way you can see if it works is to look at the rest of your story, and consider how that idea would fit into it. You also need to consider how it works in the overall scheme of your story. If it works all round, and makes sense, then it is a good idea. 😊
I want to write that my mc died then "isekaid" into sword and magic fantasy where even the blessings of the gods are not enough and he can still be in danger, he was given the typical god blessing however, he was isekaid in magical girl world by mistake and he doesnt make choice but to live there but the problem is, he is the most powerful being.
The year is 2112. The world is a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk dystopia split up into 6 megacities called Übermetros. In the crime-riddled nightmare that is Übermetro 2, one person rises up to clean the streets. A seedy vigilante detective who doubles as a magical girl. One night, she is approached by a client to tackle what seemed to be a simple investigation, only for her to untangle a deep conspiracy.
Decided to watch this video out of curiosity and, WAIT- 19:29 is very similar to a game I wanna make, except it's very sci-fi and inspired by Super Sentai. Basically, in the year 3000, the government started searching for dead people (with various ages) with incomplete goals even after death, and revives them in order for them to complete those goals with the condition they'll fight against invading evil aliens. Some parts of them didn't reconstruct well, in which they got replaced with prothesis, where their abilities to fight come from. They still have memories before their death, otherwise the goal thing wouldn't make sense lol
here's an idea i have: there's this tiara that has the ability to do anything the wielder wishes, to eradicate humanity, grant wishes or even revive someone. however, this tiara can be used only once every millenium, and there's a group called the twilights who want the tiara to eradicate every universe. each member, however, has a certain goal for themselves and are putting their lives on the line to do this: one member wants to revive his lover whom he lost in an accident, these twins want to have a better family, this lady wants her younger sister to have a normal childhood. the thing here is, this tiara belongs to a queen who is dormant in a faraway yet supreme realm. over the years, this realm has chosen eight special girls called lumieres to protect this tiara from carless hands, however this failed over the years as it ended up in the hands of the twilights and caused many catastrophic events to happen. for this generation, a special girl, the next in heir of the supreme realm helps the present group to protect this tiara.
My story isn't very creative....they have powers based on birthstones and there are twelve girls. They are not found one by one like in some magical girl series (tokyo mew mew; sailor moon; etc) they transform together when they go on a school field trip and an enemy attacks there. They use stone wands/crystal wands to transform into their angel counterparts. They need to save both their kingdom from far away, and earth from an enemy called the "Demons". They get their powers from a fairy who tells them that the Demons are using monsters to attack and destroy her kingdom and earth. They must stop the Demons from destroying everything including the kingdom. If the demons gets their hands on the stones it can bring the end of the universe as we know it. These demons do not want to take over the world, however, they just want to bring chaos. They want to have fun while destroying the universe. These twelve girls must get the demons to understand that they are having fun the wrong way. Should they fail to succeed, they will lose everything they know and love. The main character gets bullied a lot in her school and online and is unsure about her abilities as a leader. But as the story goes on she learns she can do anything when she puts her mind to it.
Here’s an idea: the MC has recently moved into an antique house that her late grandmother once inhabited, and while unpacking she discovers an obsidian mirror. She accidentally breaks its pitch-black glass, and a gorgeous yet translucent young woman with black cherry hair and golden cat eyes emerges from the mirror. The woman introduces herself as Vixen, a 21-year-old poltergeist, and she transfers her magic into the MC’s bloodstream after she gets a deep cut from one of the mirror’s shards. Now, with Vixen’s magic flowing in her bloodstream, she must defeat a variety of nocturnes, humanoid monsters with a strong affinity to the night, nightmares, or darkness. (She can only transform by saying, “Vixen, take over!” and Vixen will merge into her.)
I also have another idea that is a retelling of The Little Mermaid, but it’s in the perspective of a close cousin of Ariel. Also, she and her family are sirens instead of merfolk, and Ariel is a shallow-water siren (the kind of siren you’d usually read about in fantasy stories) while the MC Magenta is a deep-sea siren. She’s more of a vigilante who protects the undersea empire from pirates and hunters.
what if the therapy magical girls could enter a mentally un-okay person's mind and had to fight the metaphorical monsters of depression in there? (it seemed like a cool idea in case you liked the concept but wanted more action :) )
I want to write a story about a magical team ( 3 magical girl and 2 magical boy) and their alter ego will be inspired the creatures of hungarian folklore , just like the villains
Hello, sorry to ask but would you mind if I ask your opinion on a magical girl base I'm thinking of? Just to clarify, I'm not making one but I'd like to make a base for possible ideas. If no, sorry.
My latest idea involving Mahou Shoujos was actually a kind of isekai. People with different skillsets are put in cryosleep, but it doesn't all go well, and their bodies are left brittle and atrophied. They manage to save their minds, though, and as an experiment, put them into the bodies of teenage girls who were originally created as human homunculi, an attempt to re-create magical powers artificially. It worked, but they lost the bodies while transporting them, and the formerly-cryosleeped people finally wake up, and have to rely on mixing their skillsets (science, engineering, military) together with new magical powers to survive in a world they don't recognize or understand anymore.
One last question please how could I balance the power of the infinity plants users and the others I'm thinking something like haki that helps a lot but that would be a big copy also I'm not sure about the mcs power (something creative) and about the weakness of the plants
Maybe they all eat infinity plants that allow them to hover across the water, rather than travel by boat? In this case, you could call them Sky Raiders, or give them a nickname like Wasps. 😊
One of the weaknesses you could give is that the powers from the plants may only last for a short amount of time (a year). Other weaknesses could come from the powers themselves. Maybe using the powers too often makes the user tired. Maybe powers can drain others nearby. Other weaknesses can be more dependent on the powers itself. Such as: -With flying, a weakness may be the time limit one can fly for. -With the power to run super fast, they may have to spend long amounts of time to rest. -With the power to teleport, the person teleporting may be sick for a while after. It really depends on the power. 😊
Can someone please tell me what all the clips are from? This is amazing creative and inspiring content and I just really want to watch the shows too haha especially the one @9:30 🤩
@@midnightXcross ahh awesome! Thank you. And thank you for the helpful story ideas- they’ve prompted my brain and helped me solve some narrative issues I was having. Thank you!
What is the character's name on the left of the thumbnail? The only likeness I've been able to find is a character by an artist called nardack, but it's not that particular art. Is there another?
My idea of magical girl story was a fantasy based story. It’s where there is a new world . The world is an elemental tribe world where there are different tribes. The flower tribe, Water, Fire, Magic, Earth, Wind and Honey. These Tribes are not aloud to mix. But a girl called Honeywell who is from the Honey tribe. She falls in love with a boy called Mag from the fire nation. The honey nation live in tree hives ( which are massive bee hives in trees ) and collect different flowers for healing and cooking. Since tribes are not aloud to mix, they go on secret dates as they explore more about there planet. They come across a pine platty which is a pineapple cross with Plattypus. Pineapple is getting attacked my demeaters which are giant wolves with mythical and alien features. Honeybell wants to save him but Mag deosnt. They eventually do. It turns out that the honey tribe have fangs. Unfortunately Ardvark from the earth tribe finds out. Honeybell, Mag and Pinneapple have to run off before the other tribes kill them. On there planet there is an underground kingdom, with Nashbebes ( giant rabbits which eat cupcakes. But the cupcakes give them powers), talking mushrooms, Cafes run by animals and much more. The trio have to survive whilst the other tribes are after them. If that’s bad enough, Ardvark teams up with a fire Viking to kill Mag because he is jealous of him. ( Ardvark loves Honeybell ) They meet new friends and foes. If u like the idea of this story pls reply with a fairy emoji or Yellow heart 💛🧚🏻♀️
I’m thinking of writing a story about a neglected forest girl , who has been in the forest for so long that people think that she is the Gardian(she will soon) . Is this story alright ? , let me know !
I've started on my journey on watching magical girls stuff because i mant more spices. Edit: I've started on trying to craft myself with this little idea. Shonen and magical girls combine. 2 boys and 4 girls and i lean into stereotypes but as the two side collide they change.
Hi i have an really original idea II think it will Be a cool manga but i can't paint that well so how can i do? It's my first time but i want to do it really well. Should i contact famous brands or something like that?
That's awesome!! I would put the information in this comment, but I actually have a video coming out in the next few days with all of the details of how to find an artist. I think that video would answer your questions! 😊 I'll let you know when it's uploaded
I want to make a magical boy comic that has both magical girl aspects and superhero aspects, i already have the idea for the characters i'm mainly just having problems with coming up with the story.
I'm at a bit of a crossroads with my magical girl concept. I talk about the premise a bit here on reddit: www.reddit.com/r/MagicalGirls/comments/m2qhgn/my_idea_for_a_magical_girl_premise/ But I have several Ideas in terms of genre that seem a little bizarre right now. I want the time period to be a bit futuristic where magic and technology coexist. Or maybe I can push it up to be akin to idea #17, but I want the world to have dragons/witches in it...! I also thought about exploring the dynamics of dreams and making them dream travelers who preserve the nature of dreams. It's getting difficult for me and I'm at a loss...

Thank you so much for watching! I'm happy you liked the ideas 😊
@@midnightXcross you're welcome
Each season will introduce a new team, new villains, but season 4 will be the exception and get a sequel season] on my Wattpad drafts, but some of these sound awesome, the era one(If I do it, it may be called something like Era Star Angelicer) especially, but it does seem kinda hard to make these ideas into episodic shows ala PreCure(my main inspiration) that are aimed at the same audience as Sentai/Cure
the plot of the first season{only one that had Angelicer explanation} was that Miyuki Fubuki, a normal blonde student, who often is found drawing and doesn't like physical contact(basically Yayoi from Smile with additional elements of SDRA2 character Iroha Nijue, whose design was confirmed to be based on the aforementioned Cure) finds and saves a cat-like being named Azura(the 'pet' of the *ORIGINAL* Yellow) who tells her(Azura's mistress taught her how to speak) that she's the descendant of the original Yellow, and that she must team up with other girls to fight evil, in episode 1 it's just Miyuki/Angel Yellow, in the second episode Mami/Angel Blue(an idol) joins, and in episode 3 Saori/Angel Pink(Heiress to Odaka Group, an international conglomerate) joins. In the second season some underlings(who had never been seen before) are trying to revive their leader, yet the 'life' of them had split AGES AGO, the good half had became Shizuka Akabane, who must join in fighting the underlings of her evil half as Angel Red.
The rough idea for the third one 'Fairytale Angelicer' is the reincarnation of 2 characters(haven't decided yet who, their names, but I know one will be white[the main here] and black) must fight something created by the villains of several tales coming together
Season 4(and 5) will probably be the time-based one, with only one change, the girl from the present becomes the MC[she'll be Pink, the Roman girl will be Red, the future girl will be Purple, the medieval girl will be green, the Victorian girl will be Blue, and the Feudal Japanese girl{a Miko} will be rainbow], and the sequel will add a girl from the post-WWII era, who will be Yellow on transforming.
As for where it will go from there... I haven't thought that far ahead, It may even not reach the time based one, or Fairytale may get a second season as well?
The 12th idea is really cute
I'm so glad I found this!!!
I was obsessed on magical girls (Precure especially) since quarantine. I have this I dead in my head of a Precure story called
Shapes of hope Precure or 🌟Kibō no katachi purikyua🌟
I'll explain the details later 👍🏻
That's fantastic! I hope your magical girl story goes well 😊
I’ve been obsessed with Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura sailor moon longer
@@sumanbala9998 HECK YEAH!!! Cure buddy!!!!!

Hey I have an idea “ what if the main character was actually part of the bad guys and maybe they were ordered to infiltrate the magical Girls
but then she ends up becoming a magical girl
And fights with them 🥰😍
I'm totally using the second one!
I'm really happy you liked it!! 😊
Nuuu- I have school now T^T
I may not be early but-
I will still watch your vids✨✨
Thank you so much!!! 💖💖💖
I love these ideas so much!! Thanks! I was gonna create a story and you helped me alot
@@midnightXcross Sailor Pluto was my favorite too!!! Thank you for your advice!!!!!
Very interesting!! I hope your story goes well 💖
@@midnightXcross thanks
Oohh, I love your channel concept!
Thank you so much!
I really like this genre i have made a lot of magical girl comics when i was younger
I love the magical girl genre too! 😊
You should do however many ideas of underrated mythical creatures
I’m using ideas 6 , 8 , and 16 ( but individually maybe? )
I really hope they turn out well -
here's an idea i have:
there's this tiara that has the ability to do anything the wielder wishes, to eradicate humanity, grant wishes or even revive someone. however, this tiara can be used only once every millenium, and there's a group called the twilights who want the tiara to eradicate every universe. each member, however, has a certain goal for themselves and are putting their lives on the line to do this: one member wants to revive his lover whom he lost in an accident, these twins want to have a better family, this lady wants her younger sister to have a normal childhood. the thing here is, this tiara belongs to a queen who is dormant in a faraway yet supreme realm. over the years, this realm has chosen eight special girls called lumieres to protect this tiara from carless hands, however this failed over the years as it ended up in the hands of the twilights and caused many catastrophic events to happen. for this generation, a special girl, the next in heir of the supreme realm helps the present group to protect this tiara.
That sounds awesome! Fantastic idea. 😊

All these ideas would we so cool as actual Magical Girl animes
That would be so cool!!
PRECURE SCENES! (srry im obsessed). Also im gonna use some of these for precure fan seasons

Im writing a magical boy comic :)
One last question please how could I balance the power of the infinity plants users and the others I'm thinking something like haki that helps a lot but that would be a big copy also I'm not sure about the mcs power (something creative) and about the weakness of the plants
And also I'm not sure how to name the explorers because Pirates would be a copy i think
Maybe they all eat infinity plants that allow them to hover across the water, rather than travel by boat? In this case, you could call them Sky Raiders, or give them a nickname like Wasps. 😊
Maybe there's different groups of bad guys, who eat different infinity plants that allow them to band together.
Such as:
-With flying, a weakness may be the time limit one can fly for.
-With the power to run super fast, they may have to spend long amounts of time to rest.
-With the power to teleport, the person teleporting may be sick for a while after.
It really depends on the power. 😊
Ooo, I like 7
16 is also really cool!
18 and 19 are also really neat!
Ooo and 20

( Ardvark loves Honeybell )
They meet new friends and foes.

I'm at a bit of a crossroads with my magical girl concept.
I talk about the premise a bit here on reddit: www.reddit.com/r/MagicalGirls/comments/m2qhgn/my_idea_for_a_magical_girl_premise/
But I have several Ideas in terms of genre that seem a little bizarre right now.
I make it Elementa 5
