OMG! I love this so much! Ice hockey is my absolute favorite sport to watch and it's so underrated! Think about the strength, speed, balance, agility, control it takes just to play the game, and then play it on ice! These men are in unbelieveable condition! If they're really good, they'll get drafted at 18 years old and play until they're in their 40s. NHL stands for National Hockey League, and yes, it includes both American and Canadian teams. Hits or "checking" and fighting are part of the game, but there are rules to it and all kinds of penalties. When a team has a player in the penalty box, the other team has an extra player advantage or "power play". So you see, you can't really have hockey without fighting. It's literally part of the game. The players that specialize in fighting or hitting are called "enforcers", and they generally protect or assist their teammates more than intimidate, but frustration has been known to take over. Oh yeah, and being toothless is a typical hockey player stereotype. LOL
Gordie Howe , one of the greatest players of all time , played 26 seasons from 1946 to 1980 , retiring at age 52 . Yes , Diane , you can play for a really long time , if you’re good enough .
They basically have to - it's an automatic ejection (or "game misconduct") if you keep the gloves on during a fight (the hard leather and plastic actually makes it worse than a bare-knuckle fight). There are a bunch of rules like that around fighting to try to make it ... well, not "safe", but about as safe as you can reasonably make trying to beat up somebody on a slippery surface while both of you have knives strapped to the bottom of your feet. Similarly: no resuming the fight after the refs have managed to break it up, no leaving the bench during a fight or fighting from the bench, no ganging up on an individual opponent - although the refs are sometimes lenient about the last one if they really obviously deserve it.
I really like watching hockey. To answer some of your questions, this video's hits were pretty mild compared to most seasons due to Covid. If someone were to try to stab another player with their skate, they would face fines, an extremely long ban and possibly jail time. The NHL is comprised of teams from both the US and Canada. Also, many of these fights occur for different reasons. Sometimes its the players policing themselves in the event of a dirty play. Other times, a fight might be instigated by a player trying to motivate his team. One of the most famous fights was back in 1997, when the Detroit Redwings had a big fight with the Colorado Avalanche. The fight occurred because of a dirty hit on a Detroit player the year before, requiring multiple surgeries for the player hit.
"Hockey is not a sport, it is three activities going on at the same time 1) skating, 2) playing with a puck, and 3) beating the crap out of someone. " said George Carlin
Obviously he has never even touched a hockey stick, learn to control the puck, then put on ice skates, learn to skate, get in great shape, crazy cardio, learn to take hits at crazy speeds. Doing only one of these things are tough to do, now do all that at the same time "not a real sport" what an ignorant comment from George Carlin
Fighting (in ice hockey) is not only about 'two guys being angry with each other' (though sometimes that's all it takes) but it's a way of rallying your team and making a display of toughness and courage to your opponents. Hockey is a physical game of intimidation, and this is just par for the course.
Sometimes players agree to fight before the puck drops that's why some of them never go for it beforehand. Fights usually happen for one of several reasons. 1) One guy hit the rookie or star player or goalie, 2) Someone laid out a dirty/cheap hit on another player, or 3) One guy is just skating around and being an asshole/dirty and you want to teach him a lesson
also sometimes they happen to give a team momentum or just because one feels like fighting. Watched the miced games some players just skated up and said hey wanna fight ok the puck drops we go.
The reason you see big crowds on some shots but not ohers is that the NHL season starts in the autumn of one year, and ends in the spring of the next. So some of these games would have been autumn/winter 2019, when there were no restrictions.
Having grown up in Boston (MA) it is almost a rite of passage for kids to play hockey. I spent over 20 years both playing and coaching hockey. One of my all time favorite sports. (Love all the B’s [Boston Bruins] highlights in your video.) Be good ✌️- be safe 😷
Being from the northern Midwest, there is hockey and field hockey (the former being more prevalent), not ice hockey and regular hockey (or did Diane even say "hice hockey"). The goalies are generally trying to prevent a puck to the nut, and also a puck to the goal, sealing off the space between their shin pads and the ice to prevent a low shot from going in. There's an expression "The gloves are off", meaning you're ready to fight. Gordie Howe played professional hockey until age 52, and for a time was a teammate with his two sons. There have been, I think, two instances of a skate blade going to a player's throat and nicking the carotid artery. Both survived, but lost massive amounts of blood.
I just cannot imagine Diane shoulder checking some player on the ice or the rugby field. She is so nice and polite. (Editor Diane on the other hand ... 😆)

I'm a michigander, my beloved red wings hockey team always plays against Canadian teams. I grew up watching hockey players beat the crap out of eachother lol. I love going to Canada to watch, I've only done it twice tho, but the Canadians are awesome it's so relaxing in that country.
Loved your first impression watching these, some Rules to note you might have missed: 1. FIghting is allowed in hockey and monitored by the Referee, the unspoken rule is stay humble and play by the rules or get rocked. 2. Most teams in the NHL (National Hockey League) are American, however most players are Canadian. 3. There is 1 ref and 2 linesmen that play along the boards. The ref has the orange band on his arm. 4. One of the least rewarding National sports considering how hard it is mentally and physically, 2% players make it and another 2% of that make the big bucks. but SO ENTERTAINING!!
This might interest you -- when US and Canadian teams play one another, each national anthem is played at the start of the game, whether it's being played in the US or Canada. Plus, there are Canadians who play for US teams, and vice-versa. Fans in each country sing along to both. There was an instance in Detroit of a sound system failure during the Canadian anthem, so the mostly American crowd really piped up and belted out O Canada. Same deal in Toronto, where the mostly Canadian crowd enthusiastically finished out the Star-Spangled Banner and cheered. In 2014, there was a awful shooting incident in Ottawa at Parliament Hill. Soon afterward, the Pittsburgh Penguins hosted the the Philadelphia Flyers. Two US teams playing in the US so, normally, only the US anthem would have been played. As a show of love and sympathy for the Canadian people, the Pittsburgh Penguins organization asked a guy to perform O Canada before the game in addition to the US anthem, and the crowd was all about it. See? Americans aren't always d*cks! :) Seriously, though, there is a whole lot of love between Canada and the US. I am a Yank, but I love Canada every bit as much as I love the United States. And if you can't get on with a Canadian, that's a "you" problem.
Best friends on opposite teams will fight then meet up for a beer that same night. Fighting in hockey is a tool used to police the ice, get your teammates hyped up, or lower the enthusiasm of the other team.
I used to play Hockey as a kid. I was the goalie. I only wore the chest gaurd, and helment. I would just take 75mph shots standing. They called me "Stonewall" I got kicked out for fighting. I kicked his arse. He was a bully anyway.

I am a HUGE hockey fan and I really enjoyed watching Diane experiencing the NHL for the first time...lol. I would LOVE to see her react to more hockey stuff! :-)
You know what Diane I think you might actually like our National Hockey League. ( NHL ) And yes there are teams from Canada and in the USA. THEIR ARE 7 teems from Canada and 24 in the United States. There are two major conferences. and there are four divisions. They play for what they called the Stanley Cup! The NHL features the best players from around the world such as Russia, Finland, Dutch, Germany, Poland, Norway, Sweden and the Ukraine. And of course players from the USA and Canada. Fighting is allowed to a degree so one for excitement second to allow their aggressions to get out without causing further harm later in a game. And yes they can't use your skates because the skates are shorter sharper and quite frankly more deadly. And the past there have been players who've died. which is why I think we're helmets nowadays. You cannot pull the stick above your waist otherwise it's a 2-minute foul. Fighting can be anywhere from 2 minutes 4 minutes or 5 minutes depending on the severity. the 5-minute foul also includes an ejection from the game. and right now they're not allowing fans in the stadiums due to covid-19 . Maybe they'll resume next year.

Correction: I watched the great Gordie Howe play his last game... at age 69. He literally played one shift for the minor league Detroit Vipers at the Palace of Auburn Hills in 1997. His skating was a little slow, but he could still handle a stick.
Kids in Canada start playing hockey as young as three or four years old. We have guys in their seventies still playing in the men's leagues. Even older.

You can look up the Philadelphia Flyers vs. Ottawa Senators for most penalty minutes in a single game. Both teams were down to just a few players since the rest were tossed out of the game.
I would recommend the 2 part series “The Beauty of Hockey”. It’s very good at telling the story and drama of a game to newcomers. It’s an incredible game, especially live.
Coach Jennings, as a life long recreational hockey player I enjoyed your reaction to our wonderful game. Once a hockey player always a hockey player. My older brother skates here in a league in Michigan and some are 75 years young. Classic Coach Jennings line, "are all these lads. all er .... (sniff sniff) on something" No, but good catch For a non-hockey fan you give some great commentary.
Greetings from Canada, again, eh! Many a hockey game under my skates, and a few observations on your video. At the beginning, that's Zdano Chara formerly of the Boston Bruins. He's 6'8", he's 43 in this video, he's a freak and he's still playing. Hockey has been trying to clean up the "goons" from the game. It'll never be eliminated, but, thankfully skill or fists is winning out. It's still not uncommon for a player to skate up to an opponent at a face-off and ask "wanna go"? Hockey players ages range most 20-30, over 30 your career is winding down. Your stick must stay below shoulder height, contact with a "high stick" is a 2 minute "minor" penalty. If you draw blood, you get a double minor ( 4 minutes). A fight gets you 5 minutes. There are 4 "officials" on the ice. The two referee's, they wear a red arm band, and two linesmen ( they drop the puck, call the off-sides and they are responsible for breaking up the fights, not the refs) In Canada, it's hockey, not ice hockey, that will boil a Canadians blood when they hear that!!! It's a shame my game is always reduced to it's lowest base, the fights. It's a game of motion, poetry on ice, skill and grace that has been corrupted by cementheads. I hope you can watch hockey and enjoy it for the sport it is, not the cartoon it can become.
So now we learn another one of Diane's personalities. Sports Bully Diane. Could be my favorite. As fun as this is to watch on TV it is 1000 times better live.
Jwb52z, I’ve been to probably 50-75 games and never seen a fight, maybe south of the border that is a thing but not even at the battle of Alberta have I seen one. Not saying it never happens just that I haven’t.
The nhl is both Canadian and American teams, and the team you thought were the cubs, which is actually an American baseball team, were the Montréal Canadians. Loved the vid btw.
"Puck to the nut" 🤣😂 very funny Diane. The sports I participated in from 13-17 years of age were football, wrestling, track and baseball. From my experience the fighting in all those sports is just an us vs them thing.
As a Canadian, I approve of this video. There are presently 31 teams in the National Hockey League (will be 32 as of next fall). I like this because whenever there is a hockey season, I'm an announcer for my local junior level team in Thunder Bay. I should mention that trying to call the play during a game is more difficult than it seems.
A number of the teams are in Canada Vancouver Edmonton Calgary Winnipeg Toronto Ottawa and Montreal And somebody should bring back to Quebec Nordiques Also add about 2/3 of the players In the NHL are Canadian
@@MattyC62185 it’s about selling the game south of border it’s already sold in Canada so the nhl doesn’t need another Canadian team it’s really a shame! I was shocked but happy to see the Jets come back so maybe just maybe Quebec will get their team back as well but I really doubt it as long as the nhl offices are in the US
The fights that are off the face off or away from the puck are usually result of someone getting away with a cheap shot or dirty play and so if the ref isn’t going to regulate, the players will do it themselves. Also def had fights that were to get the team fired up when you’re down in a game. Finally, any Mighty Ducks reference deserves a like 😁.
I absolutely love hockey! Fights start to entertain or to stick up for your mates. Sometimes something happened earlier in the game that gets addressed in a fight. High sticking is a 2 min. penalty
Oh Diane I’m so glad you had this great idea of reacting to Hockey. It’s awesome watching Hockey. Better in my mind then any other Canadian Or National sport. By far.
They let them go at it while they're both on their feet, and go to break it up once either fighter gets down on a knee or prone. You're sliding around on ice in a ton of padding and loose jerseys making awkward swings at each other. "Usually" there's not too much damage done, and it gets the aggression out. If they went to break it up immediately it'd just leave them still steamed and itching for round 2 as soon as they got out of the penalty box. If someone's down on the ice it becomes a lot easier for the guy kneeling over them to get a good solid hit in, which is why they break it up then.
Me: * is a powerful giant who's actually very peaceful * Diane: * Reveals herself to secretly be a violent rugby player. * Also me: "Well, now she's somehow even MORE attractive...." * confused *
Regarding the on-ice officials, there are two referees and two linesmen. The referees call most of the penalties, and the linesmen call offsides. The other job of the linesmen is to break up fights when one or both players in a fight go down. Referees aren’t supposed to get involved with breaking up fights so they can keep an eye on anything dirty that may go on either in the fight or elsewhere on the ice. It looks like chaos, but there’s actually a whole ritual and unwritten rules to hockey fights.
Players who fight, called enforcers, are not as common now as they were. Several reasons why fights occur. Unwritten code the players all know. Have a great week Diane.
The uniform you recognize in 9:30 is the Montreal Canadiens. They were the original first of 6 hockey teams in the NHL and are over 100 years old. I am not surprised that their team logo is recognized internationally. They are an iconic team. They have the record for the most Stanley Cups at 24 with Toronto Maple Leafs with 14. Unfortuanely the Canadiens have not been doing very well this past decade with their last Stanley Cup won in 1995 or something around that time.
A lot of the time fights are to maintain the peace, believe it or not. Also to protect more finesse players. Dish out cheap hits, get beat up. Watch the movie Goon, really funny! The sparkles are a nice touch, keep up the great work Diane. ❤️
Good on you for watching with interest and wanting to learn more about the sport! Hockey is a very complex and competitive sport where the team will go to battle to protect each other with no fear of injury or reprimand.
not sure if anyone else said it but the red uniform with the C on it is the Candiens a hockey club from montreal the fans call the habs, short for les habitants , its a french thing means something like the original french settlers not sure , the cubs though are the chicago baseball team, pretty sure the candiens are the oldest surviving hockey club they have won lord stanleys cup more than any other team
I do want to point out that the first vid of the guy getting high-sticked in the face was an accident. He saw the puck go up in the air and was trying to knock it away. Unfortunately, he nailed the other dude instead. Right after it happened you could see him reach out to the guy to see if he was okay. ETA: I'm an idiot, I should have watched the next ten seconds. ~lol~
Regarding the size disparity: that first guy in black and yellow is Zdeno Chara (one of my favourite players). He was 250lb, and 6 foot 11 inches on skates. He was definitely out of the ordinary in terms of size, and it shows because he could absolutely level people when it came to body contact and fighting. Very few people were capable of stepping to him. Interestingly though, he's surprising graceful for his size. He's a great skater and has excellent puck control.
You wondered how old a player could get: I don't follow hockey, but I do remember the name Wayne Gretzky because he was so well known that you didn't have to follow the game to know the name. He retired after twenty years in the NHL and is considered to be one of the best.
Gordie Howe was the longest-playing player, and the oldest at retirement, at 52 years of age. It's rare that a player plays past age 40 (even Gretzky retired before then!), though a handful have recently. Jaromir Jagr, Zdeno Chara, Patrick Marleau, Joe Thornton, and Teemu Selanne come to mind. 3 of those (Chara, Marleau, and Thornton) are active players as of 21-22.
Gretzky retired before he was 40, but he probably owns the highest percentage of records of any player in the four most popular North American sports. Crazy cool stat: He has more assists than any other player has goals and assists COMBINED!
1:04 That's Zdeno Chara, 6'9'', the tallest player in the league vs Brendan Gallagher, 5'9'', one of the shortest. But what he lacks in size, he makes up for in energy.
[Diane] That's what my Daddy taught me, follow through with the shot...follow through with the shot. _Looks self-consciously at the camera._ Not that I've ever....

They usually drop the gloves before they fight, that's how you know it's going down.
" said George Carlin
his baseball vs football bit is very funny.
I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out - Rodney Dangerfield
Hockey is the greatest sport. It takes so much skill to handle and shoot a puck, while at high speeds, on thin blades on a hard cold surface.
This may be the only DJ video in which I totally tuned out Diane's commentary as I was focusing so hard on the videos.
I loved played defense in ice hockey, because there's just some joy that's hard to replicate when you block someone's shot and ruin their day.
Yep. Hockey's a great sport because the players enforce the rules.
also sometimes they happen to give a team momentum or just because one feels like fighting. Watched the miced games some players just skated up and said hey wanna fight ok the puck drops we go.
"I was a rugby player ..." Something tells me that was Editor Diane, rather than Presenter Diane. And woe unto the opposing team if that was the case.
😂
The reason you see big crowds on some shots but not ohers is that the NHL season starts in the autumn of one year, and ends in the spring of the next. So some of these games would have been autumn/winter 2019, when there were no restrictions.
"It's like The Mighty Ducks."
Margot Robbie and her friends dressed up as the Mighty Ducks for Halloween.
Too cool!
Diane watching blood and gore on the ice: "That's a cute uniform!"😁
That last one was the battle of alberta (edmonton vs calgary) which is one of the best rivalries in hockey. Theres bound to be a brawl
Having grown up in Boston (MA) it is almost a rite of passage for kids to play hockey. I spent over 20 years both playing and coaching hockey. One of my all time favorite sports. (Love all the B’s [Boston Bruins] highlights in your video.)
Be good ✌️- be safe 😷
Imagine if the sport of Bandy had NHL like body checking. Holy shit!!.
Oh my God, I could listen to you talk for hours. You're an absolute doll.
Hi Diane. You look gorgeous as always! I love your reactions when you watch these types of videos! They're priceless and genuine. Thanks for always being a lovely ray of sunshine each and every week! Have a great rest of your week, hun. 😁🌹😎❤️🎊🎉
I'm a michigander, my beloved red wings hockey team always plays against Canadian teams. I grew up watching hockey players beat the crap out of eachother lol. I love going to Canada to watch, I've only done it twice tho, but the Canadians are awesome it's so relaxing in that country.
Loved your first impression watching these, some Rules to note you might have missed:
Fighting keeps a player from possibly ending a career or life as well due to an aggressive hit. Although, shit still happens though.
There's 2 refs, 2 linesmen
In Canada, “regular” hockey is on ice. Field hockey is the irregular version.
I love hockey fights. They're so much fun to watch.
I'm not into sports in general but I can watch hockey the
longest without getting bored.
Does anyone remember the old joke, "I was at a boxing match last night and a hockey game broke out."
It’s actually “I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out” from the late great Rodney Dangerfield.
There are some 40+ players, like Zdeno Chara, the tall guy in the first clip, he's actually the oldest on the ice right now at 44 :O
"Thats what my daddy taught me, follow thru with the shoulder. Not that I've ever done that." Cracks devilish grin.
Yeah, Diane has destroyed some people in her past. Someone get hold of Mama Jennings, we need to see the home movies of Field Hockey Diane!
Oldest position players in the NHL:
52 years - Gordie Howe (1980)
48 years - Chris Chelios (2010)
45 years - Jaromir Jagr (2017)
44 years - Doug Harvey (1969)
I always knew Diane was a badass. I didn't know how much though until today.
😁
I believe the rule is that the ref doesn't step/skate in until one of the two hits the ice.
I never imagined we’d get to see a representation of what ED is dreaming of doing do the bots and companies putting in copyright claims about her videos this afternoon.
Haha so true
Sooo Today !! bringing happiness and entertainment to the world for ages
Dee Dee, i just want you to know...you're not a national treasure, you are a global treasure. your reaction videos are freakin' priceless! keep up the great work and best wishes
In the first video you reacted to, the tall player is Zdeno Chara. He is 2.06 m tall.
Players careers can start as young as 18 and play into their 40's. Gordie Howe played his last game at 52, but one average most guys retire before 40.
Even older.
@@brucemcdonald1114 That's the Canadian dream. The day I'm not able to skate anymore is the day I die.
"Its like D2 The Mighty Ducks but older"...what an absolutely fabulous Diane quote.
I can see Editor Diane cross-checking someone because they didn't subscribe to the channel. 🏒
Ha! Yes 👍🏻
@@DianeJennings BTW, the cool jersey you mentioned at 7:09 is the Carolina Hurricanes. They're based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
@@JasonMoir Before that, the were the Hartford Whalers. There's still some bad blood between Connecticut and North Carolina about that.
@@DianeJennings - Like you, I'd want to hear ED'S chirps (chirps = smack talk) as she was cross checking the poor soul who made her cross.
@@JasonMoir Boop! Howdy neighbor! I live in New Bern NC, about two hours east of Raleigh, and I Love the 'Canes! My two sons do also. I fell in love with ice hockey 🏒 during the Winter Olympics at Lake Placid when the "Miracle on Ice" took place (yes I'm "that" old). I was married to a man from the Philadelphia area and was a Flyers fan before we had a hockey 🏒 team here in NC. Rod Brind'amour was my favorite player there and here. My sons and I were in attendance at Rod Brind'amour night when his jersey number was retired; my eldest son 💙 got his picture taken with Lord Stanley's Cup that night.
Fun fact: Brind'amour is now married to a lady from NC.
I played both rugby and hockey growing up, the hits in hockey are far harder, yes we have pads, but we are traveling many times faster and that makes a huge difference. i have never taken a hit in rugby like i have in hockey.
When the ref wasn't looking? 😂😂😂 You have the right mind set to play hockey BOOP
You can look up the Philadelphia Flyers vs. Ottawa Senators for most penalty minutes in a single game. Both teams were down to just a few players since the rest were tossed out of the game.
They have to sit in the "penalty box" for a specified amount of time.
AKA "the sin bin"
I would recommend the 2 part series “The Beauty of Hockey”. It’s very good at telling the story and drama of a game to newcomers. It’s an incredible game, especially live.
girl look up Ron Hextall. He was a goalie for the Philly Flyers. He was brutal
Coach Jennings, as a life long recreational hockey player I enjoyed your reaction to our wonderful game.
Once a hockey player always a hockey player. My older brother skates here in a league in Michigan and
some are 75 years young.
Classic Coach Jennings line, "are all these lads. all er .... (sniff sniff) on something" No, but good catch
For a non-hockey fan you give some great commentary.
lmao "what did he sleep with his wife or something" and mom to Diane " i know you like to bash people". A little look at Diane behind the curtain
If it was Tyler Seguin that would apply.
Actually that an old pro trick to say that at a face off probably so old they don’t do it anymore.
You coached rugby? And played hockey? Impressive. Most impressive.
Well said.
So now we learn another one of Diane's personalities. Sports Bully Diane. Could be my favorite.
As fun as this is to watch on TV it is 1000 times better live.
Totally. I finally understood a lot of the game that had stymied me for decades when I saw it with no cameras cutting the action apart.
If these games were during a time when the audience seats were full, it would be the audience/spectators having fights as well as the players.
A very rare drunken occasion
@Sean Laporte You've never seen a fight at a game, I suppose, somehow.
@@waynethera2712 I wouldn't call it rare.
I’m so glad you made this video. I’m a huge hockey fan from Canada. The jersey you were referring to is the Montreal Canadians.
@@MattyC62185 I'm still trying to understand why they give Vegas and Seattle teams without even considering Quebec.
@@bluebear1985 I can understand Seattle being a cold-weather area But Vegas come on now Quebec needs their team back
@@MattyC62185 it’s about selling the game south of border it’s already sold in Canada so the nhl doesn’t need another Canadian team it’s really a shame! I was shocked but happy to see the Jets come back so maybe just maybe Quebec will get their team back as well but I really doubt it as long as the nhl offices are in the US
@@tylertrudeau1999 Yeah Let’s not forget to US based Teams that are pretty much right on Canada’s border the Detroit redwings and Buffalo Sabres
HOCKEY!!! Born on skates!!! The fact that you played hockey and rugby has endeared you to me even more!!
Me: * is a powerful giant who's actually very peaceful *
Diane: * Reveals herself to secretly be a violent rugby player. *
Also me: "Well, now she's somehow even MORE attractive...." * confused *
"Trim the beard". Lol this was great!
Great video..I think Diane was able to enjoy the action more than she did the baseball headshots. Nice to see the combination of cheer and bafflement.
1993 was the last Stanley Cup Finals championship for the Montreal Canadiens. They defeated the Los Angeles Kings in 5 games.
Yup, Watching rugby fights, and Diane is commenting on personal grooming and fashion tips! You got to love this girl.....🌹👍
not sure if anyone else said it but the red uniform with the C on it is the Candiens a hockey club from montreal the fans call the habs, short for les habitants , its a french thing means something like the original french settlers not sure , the cubs though are the chicago baseball team, pretty sure the candiens are the oldest surviving hockey club they have won lord stanleys cup more than any other team
These guys aren't all that old , some of them had full beards at 15. Lol
Yes Diane. There Are Players Who Play Into Their Late 40's n Sometimes Their 50's
I'm late, but that little bark was Chewie's version of trash talk...😉
A Chewie chirp!!!
That was the cutest bit of trash talking we'll ever hear.
Diane playing rugby and hockey explains the toughness of Editor Diane!
There is a penalty called "high sticking"
I do want to point out that the first vid of the guy getting high-sticked in the face was an accident. He saw the puck go up in the air and was trying to knock it away. Unfortunately, he nailed the other dude instead. Right after it happened you could see him reach out to the guy to see if he was okay.
ETA: I'm an idiot, I should have watched the next ten seconds. ~lol~
Terry O'Reilly and Mike Milbury. Bruins at Rangers all time craziest hockey moment of all time
I know. Never get tired of seeing Milbury beat a fan with his own shoe. 😆😆
"I wish we could hear what they're saying..."
Um, no you don't.... 😳
Highly Censorable!
Same, I remember Gretzky and Bobby Orr, don't follow the sport
Hello from Toronto,Canada. Hockey is the best game to play. The bark from chewie was a no.
