Indeed. This one and 'Crying Lightning' well overstayed their welcome as fixed features on every single tour since its release. Put it away for 2 tours and the return will be as celebrated as 'Fluorescent Adolescent' now is again. 'When The Sun Goes Down' should be a given for the UK tour, but 'Dancing Shoes' already made its return at almost every stop in the UK during the past 2 tours.
@@oufc90 Still a brilliant (live) song but since they never want to extend the length of their sets, this song is technically in the way of any other addition, new or old. It's one of the 5 or so songs they dragged out every single set in the past decade or more, even during shortened festival sets. It got dropped for a moment last September though.
@@strangedaysindeed9 that’s fair it has been a mainstay since it’s release, but I just think taking out a couple of tracks from AM would be the better way to get new songs in the setlist, considering they usually play 5 or 6 tracks from that album and in my opinion usually a couple of average ones. Whereas in comparison, there is usually only 1 or 2 tracks from SIAS. Either way, can’t wait to see the boys again in June 👍
@@oufc90 I would agree with you, but then I look around me during all those 'AM' songs and I also think "give the people what they want", to quote The Kinks. That's why we come back at their luxury problem: the setlist is 2 songs too short for a band with their catalogue and the never-ending 2007-2013 singles are being overplayed at expense of the deeper cuts, like indeed the SIAS songs.
