I have this rifle but chambered in 308 with the 26 inch barrel. So far I am shooting groups of about 1 1/2 inch with store purchased match ammo ($27 a box) . I am now handloading trying to get sub MOA that ‘they’ guarantee. After a few handloads I am now about 1 inch to 1 1/4 inch at 100 yards. If you are considering on getting this rifle it is a great value. The scope is on the low end and it can be purchased for about $325 retail. I paid $1,299 for the package. Mine did not come with a case and I thought it would. The trigger is 3 1/2 pounds. The recoil is not that bad. The two stage trigger is fine with me. I may upgrade the trigger to a drop in after market one later. The rifle does turn heads. I ton of people have asked me if it was a custom build :-). I did see this rifle for sale at Academy Sports for $1,099 (308 with 20 inch barrel).
I have a question. I just picked this gun up from my local gun store. We ordered it from yalls website. I noticed my muzzle brake is different from the pictures yall have posted on the website and in this video. Did yall change the muzzle brake that comes with the gun or did yall put the wrong muzzle brake on before shipped. It is the 6.5 creedmoor 24’ barrel.
Russ Nurse2B sadly no they did not. It’s okay though I’m switching to the ruger precision rifle soon. Nothing wrong with the howa by any means but I think I like the ruger better.
@@Smalltown6.2 Yeah, I'm trying to decide between the Ruger precision, Savage 110 precision and the Tikka tx3 tact a1. I was at Bass Pro shop yesterday and checked out the tikka. They had the tikka for $1500. with 2 ten round mags. One thing I know for sure is I'll be putting a Blackhound Optics scope on it. They are fantastic!! You should check them out.
The accuracy of their rifles in johnny spot in all their lengths, the true power behind the length of the barrel is the simple fact that the longer the barrel the more FPS the flatter the trajectory.
@@maxcoatlhunter4322 I was just at a gun store yesterday and held the ruger 6.5 with the same type of paint but a little better, and it's pretty damn heavy. Easily 15 pounds for a fact

The break was changed last year
Can you use this for hunting?
Might be too heavy to drag around!
What barrel length do you recommend for that rifle in a .308?

26 to 27
