tips for anyone visiting London : dont take taxi from airport to central london, there are very good transport links which will cost far less. Also look up discounts provided by National Rail "days out guide" discounts on many popular attractions including the London eye. If you do a google search you should find some good information on how to do it and you will save a lot of money, check at the forums on Tripadvisor where they have good information how to go about it.

I am surprised to hear that The Shard is the tallest building in western Europe. It's not even as tall as the Empire State Building in New York which is nearly 90 years old. With the prices of real estate in London, you would think they would build higher. Must not be allowed.
I live in the UK Robert and i agree London is a complete expensive rip off and is not a typical UK city. You should visit Liverpool (home of the Beatles and Liverpool football club) It is more compact and a lot cheaper than London.

It is hard to compare. I haven't been to NY in a few years. London't perhaps feels a little bit more advanced.

Sorry i wrote this the wrong way he said the 2016 rep is a replica of the 1950 Airstream but that is for the 50th anniersary.
