Great stuff yet again. This channel is now in my top 6. The others being (in no particular order) Colin Furze, Abom79, Cutting Edge Engineering, W2AEW and Applied Science. So, you are in very good company. Great work and keep it up.

You have the art of explaining fundamentals. Keep it up, wish you created much more content like that in the future.

Awesome description! Would love to see a fast photo diode looking at the output intensity, comparing the switching rise and fall to the output intensity.

I always wanted make some simple inductor testers myself, but I think I'm too lazy. But I have special DIY generator for testing saturation current, which my dad explain to me and it is great device. PWM controller with mosfet and potentiometer for PWM setting + power supply and couple of shunts for osciloscope :)
And few years ago I made inductor meter based on op-amp generator. Recently I bought Uni-t LCR meter which make great job measuring caps in circuit without desoldering. Downside was price for me, but it saves lot of time in servicing electronics.

I think most electronics enthusiasts draw a lazy Simplified version of a mosfet😂. I can never remember how to draw it properly😮‍💨

Good work. Just out of curiosity, do you work in electronics or is it just a hobby? You seem to have a professional background, university degree?

I did it as a hobby for many years before studying it at university, which I was doing when I made this video. I am now on a year placement working on the Formula 1 hybrid system at Red Bull

If you put a cap on the output of the inductor to ground, you likely will get rid of all that lossy ringing.

  • @stevenbliss989
