Thank you so much for letting us live vicariously through your family’s adventures! It’s so eye opening seeing what the country is really like in remote places. Safe travels!
We just retired in 2023 and have a beautiful and paid for home in Phoenix, AZ. Last fall we had a custom van built. We also have an FJ Crusier with a hard top roof top tent that we use to travel backroads. During the hot Phoenix summers, we will be doing what you do, traveling across the country, staying on BLM as much as possible and inexpensive campgrounds. As we travel, we work with organizations to feed the homelss and deliver meals. We love the IOverlander APP and we love your plan. We folow Epic Family Roadtrip on TH-cam. They've been on the road 7 years and homeschooled their kids who are now in their 20's. Great story. Hope to see more of your travels.
This is so awesome ❤and your little boy is adorable and growing up so fast, I am So jealous y’all get all this time to travel and see spots and spend time together, but if I had only been as smart as you with money, cause what your doing is far more valuable than anything money bought, proud of yall❤ keep us updated!❤
Welcome to California! That was fun to watch, thank you for sharing. California is the biggest agricultural producing state in the country. The meal you were cooking looks so good. Looking forward to your next video.
Your camper will seem so spacious when you get back home. I'm glad you have such well behaved animals that they can travel like this. I guess as long as they are with their people they can adapt to whatever the situation is.
Great video!! Traveling and taking in all you are able to on a budget is awesome!! where there is a will there is a way a cheaper way, instead of wasting money on hotels so smart 🤩 Falcon is adorable 🥰 such a cutie.
My husband grew up in CA and told me about the times him and his buddies would go out and race on Salton, CA. I have never been, but given the chance I would go. Wish he was here to go with me...... Love all the traveling you guys are doing. I am so fearful of going as I would do it alone, and I just cant make myself go.
@q, In a few weeks, I turn 72yo. I full-time live-aboard the ExpeditionVehicle I built in 2003. . Over two decades of travel, zero interest in a stand-still house.
Your videos are so fun to watch. It was interesting to see your tent set up and all the places you are travelling to. I always enjoy seeing what you are eating on your trip. Have fun:)
Katie 🌻 What a Wonderful video . . Such an informative narrative. . . Wow 😅. Im exhausted just watching you and hubby packing up the tent You guys Rock 🎉
Have fun while you're in CA, but the gas and food prices...are horrible! You passed my house! I live 35 minutes away from those sand dunes off the I-8 highway...in a little farming community called Holtville (45 minutes from Yuma). We love going out to the dunes on weekends and camping. Being born and raised in the desert, it's a bit claustrophobic whenever I visit my family in North Carolina, with all of the trees, LOL! But, I agree that the scenery is so diverse out west! Loved the video...😄 P.S. If you get a chance, visiting the other side of the Salton Sea in the Borrego Springs area, and the Borrego Desert State Park is also fun!
That is too funny! We miss all the trees! We drove by one the other day and I rolled my window down to listen to it in the wind and Asher made so much fun of me 😂
Loved watching this! My husband and I were campers but we had trailers, fifth wheels and motor homes through the years, never really roughed it as you guys are doing it. We were spoiled 😮 but no matter you are enjoying it ever bit as much as we did and I admire you for doing it. We loved every minute of our travels and ages 85 and 93 it is the thing we miss the most so we travel now by going with others on TH-cam. Thank you so much for sharing ❤. Happy trails to you.
Looked like a great trip y’all had our country is the most beautiful country in the world my cabin up in the Appalachian mountains is beautiful and I love it there 😀👍
Ironically I started down the skyline drive and blue ridge parkway after leaving nyc 1984. Lived in Georgia until moving to Arizona and the Utah area. Found your video by accident this morning. Great job at the Lucky 7 homestead
Have you heard of Baby Signs? I did it with my two youngest children and it was so much fun watching them learn and communicate. My son started making up his own signs for things and it was amazing.
Well I think this was so interesting. I admire you and Asher for taking this trip and living your dream. Falcon is again, ADORABLE! Just precious! Enjoy and stay safe❤. Oh, and does Falcon ever cry? He is so pleasant and content!
Looks like a good workout taking down and setting up the tent. My job when I was a kid was to walk across the tent at each step to make sure all the air was out. Falcon's almost there!
Wow. Lucky stars that your cat is so amenable to travel! We have two and they have moved around alot the last three years and they were troupers, but getting them into travel crates, much less daily? Nope. Pure torture. Beautiful part of living in the west/southwest is y'rarely think of condensation. I never think about it anymore. Moisture doesn't survive 14% humidity or 5% for that matter. Love that you all are living your dream! 😻🐶
Love the way you are traveling with your family. We have a grandson that was born a few days before Falcon was, and he is forever trying to get into the dogs food and water bowls. He and the German Shepard are best buds.
Can you tell me by chance when you filmed this? 😊We live in Arizona and to find gas prices that cheap anywhere is surprising. My hubby uses an app to find the cheapest prices and can’t find any place that is $2..69 a gallon.
She tolerates the harness 😂 She prefers to go on walks without it, and she doesn’t wander off or anything, but with all the snakes and scorpions and hawks, etc out in the desert, we didn’t let her out without the harness. She was a little mad at us about that 😆
They eventually get used to it. It just seems sad that she's confined to a small kennel and only gets to roam around in a tent. Sorry, I don't think that's enough for a cat.
I mean, just don’t touch them 🤷♀️😂 But we haven’t seen a single snake in the 2 months we’ve been out here 🐍 My husband is a biology/zoology major and pretty disappointed about it tbh 😂
I notice you refer to Falcon as they and their. Well done not assuming their pronouns. Great job Mama. They will make their own decision in regards to preferred pronouns.
Thank you so much for letting us live vicariously through your family’s adventures! It’s so eye opening seeing what the country is really like in remote places. Safe travels!
Great video I like seeing the different parts of the country hope you can make more videos like this one
not sure how often you guys may hear this but know someone watching in Maine is VERY proud of you!
This is so much fun to come along on your trip with you. TY!
Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
The way he was so Happy to take his Daddys Hand 😍😍😍 so sweet !

I really like your tent set up and how it's two levels. Loving the content.

Love this video. Thanks for showing us how easy it is to be free.😊
Love your little for a family. How you get them to get along is excellent❤
I'm glad you gave us a tour of your tent!
I thought about the Arizona Desert until my friend showed the rattlesnake that blended in within the camp at Quartsite.
You know, we haven’t seen a single rattlesnake so far! I mean, I guess that doesn’t mean they haven’t been there but just hiding from us 😂 🐍
The thought scares me

Thank you! Falcon may fuss occasionally but hardly ever cries ❤️

Great way to travel and a lot of freedom
Your dinner looked so delicious! Thank you for your journey
Come to the Boise Idaho area, you would lkve the natural hot springs that are just roadside
I made your grilled vegetable fajitas with the maple smoked seasoning and the Tofutti sour cream. so good.😋 Please keep posting more recipes.😊
We have the XL rooftop with annex room ,we travel with 3 Aussies and a small dog in a Jeep Rubicon
Aussies are awesome travel companions ❤️
Look at the Haarp clouds. Crazy.
Oh my gosh. Hedge hog love book is amazing. Hedge hog hugs.
Love the new truck, Katie!!
Thanks! 😊
Love the way you are traveling with your family. We have a grandson that was born a few days before Falcon was, and he is forever trying to get into the dogs food and water bowls. He and the German Shepard are best buds.
Toddlers and water bowls 😂 Shepherds are such good dogs! ❤️
It's amazing watching u and your husband travel with your pets and toddler! Have a safe trip! :)
Hey what happened to your two daughters did you just ditch them? They weren't old enough to support themselves, were they?
Are your teens traveling with you?
I love the slow pace you can do while enjoying the countryside. Do you freeze dry your own coffee? If not where and what kind do you use? ❤
We honestly just buy whichever freeze dried coffee is cheapest at the store 😂
We have the same water jugs
If one can move comfortably every two weeks, one can free camp forever.
Nice!
If you like blm land try anza borrego desert state park lots of blm land and cool hiking trails maybe 35 minutes from salton city/thermal
What year is the tundra?
Will you visit iany beach town while driving through California?
Where are your teenagers?
Can you tell me by chance when you filmed this? 😊We live in Arizona and to find gas prices that cheap anywhere is surprising. My hubby uses an app to find the cheapest prices and can’t find any place that is $2..69 a gallon.
They were down by Ajo and Yuma
We were down very south in AZ. This was less than 2 weeks ago. The second we crossed into CA gas was $5-6 a gallon💀😂
@@raisingwildflowers That’s sounds about right! California is so expensive with gas prices.
@@raisingwildflowers I saw the Ajo A on the mountain was how I knew where you were plus we go down to Yuma yearly for a livestock show.
Are you referring to your kid as they
Does your cat like to go for walks with a harness on?
She tolerates the harness 😂 She prefers to go on walks without it, and she doesn’t wander off or anything, but with all the snakes and scorpions and hawks, etc out in the desert, we didn’t let her out without the harness. She was a little mad at us about that 😆
Better to keep her safe , I wouldnt let mine wander either
Do you take your cat out for walks?
Yeah she had a harness and leash but isn’t a super fan of walking on it 😂
They eventually get used to it. It just seems sad that she's confined to a small kennel and only gets to roam around in a tent. Sorry, I don't think that's enough for a cat.
Well, that is what she prefers so I will keep doing what makes her happy 😉
Are you able to shower everyday?
A full shower? No. Clean off? Yes 👍🧼
@@raisingwildflowers I shower twice a day even in winter so that would be very hard for me😁
No self respecting toddler would leave a bowl of water alone 😂
Hell no what about the snakes
I mean, just don’t touch them 🤷♀️😂 But we haven’t seen a single snake in the 2 months we’ve been out here 🐍 My husband is a biology/zoology major and pretty disappointed about it tbh 😂
00:22
That poor woman.
Is it throat cancer?
Too much sand in her margaritas?
Does she gargle with gravel?
Close. Camping in the desert for 2 months. Which is kinda like gargling gravel and drinking sand 24/7 😉
Won’t be easier for you if you cut your hair short?
No because then it would grow and I would have to cut it again 😂
Art or trash?!
your never free you gotta pay taxes on your land
You don’t have to pay taxes on BLM land. It belongs the public and actually is free to stay on 😁
I notice you refer to Falcon as they and their. Well done not assuming their pronouns. Great job Mama. They will make their own decision in regards to preferred pronouns.
