Got more useless Stuff?
Haha remember these from the 80s and they didn't do anything then either 😂
I’m sure the person behind you on the freeway will really appreciate this when it flies off and hits their car
When an Eskimo has money, he buys snow.
A bracelet for your muffler..... when are the wedding invites being sent out ?
A cock ring lol
We had these in the 1980's, and they didn't work back then, either!! 😆
No pwobwen, dis is new Chrinesre version. Much impwooved metal, no worry.
Good old chinesium
@@confroggin1 😆
It is in old cars, but why they put it, i don't know yet
@@smailmouloudj645 lightning they were made with rubber and had lightning bolts on them so the bolt goes thru it metal won't work lol
This product is so good because it has the shortest lifespan in the world. Go visit your grandma down the street and you'll notice just some remnants hanging from the exhaust. Designed in caves and build with care on a boat.
Depois q coloquei na minha BMW o consumo diminuiu quase pela metade. incrível
In Illinois the state requires you to have fuzzy dice or a steering wheel spinner knob if you choose to install those straps,
Don't forget the curb feelers.
😄 haha
Thanks bro, now i don't feel useless anymore 🤣
Can you imagine the sparks at night on the highway.. And passing a fuel tanker.. Brilliant idea.
Or leaving a gas station ⛽️
@@kevinfart8389 chances are way higher that you static discharge while filling your car with gas
🤣
I pass a lot of fuel tankers spilling fuel onto an open highway, it happens regularly 🤡
@@ThisManTriggeredMe is that right?
Yeah I remember them from the 1970s
We called them psycho strips 😅
Still. Nothin changed.
I remember cars having these back in the 80’s & 90’s
That's what I thought..
A solution to a problem that never really existed.
A wise mechanic once told me "don't put random shit on your car"
If your car was in a storm and a power line went down this is a great way to electrify the entire car..
Too bad he wasn't also a lineman because he would have told you that the car will be energized whether it's on rubber or grounded
One of these things were on the very first used car I ever bought as a teen in the late 90s and I had never seen or heard of such a thing before. It made me think something was wrong with the car’s electronics and it required it to be grounded. Never saw anything like that since until 24 years later (aka today) 😂
I wanna see a video of a car getting the muffler pulled off by one of them now lmao
Don't ever remember getting a static electricity shock in my car in my truck or even on my motorcycle
And here I thought my self ignorant... Scrolled to comments to find out what this is for and what do you know!?!? 🤣 🤣 🤣
It's for taking your money. They never did anything.
Its for turning your car into a 3000 lb lightning rod, so you die in a rainstorm
For which problem we need this?
For nothing
When a car moves there are some electric charges that are produced by the wheels so charges are transferred to earth by this chain thats why it is used
for nothing. it's actually very stupid, bevause the car now doesn't protect against lightning anymore..
Sometimes the friction between rod and tire or vehicle and oil in it produces static electricity. This discharge gathers at one end of the truck and it causes sparking and from it the petrol may catch fire. The iron chains suspended from the body of lorries and trucks provide earthing and help to avoid the hazard.
For very old cars - but you don't need it anymore
The four rubber tires on your car ground you better than anything else could.
Explain to me how your rubber tires ground you. Your non conductive rubber tires.
Don't worry bro I'm dumb as fuck too.
You are not smart.
@@autodidact7127 same way electrical boots ground you. Ever seen a car hit by lighting with people in it? They act as conductor isolators.
@@mustangdemon87 exact opposite, rubber shoes prevent you from being grounded. Same as tires. They insulate you from the ground, you being grounded is what kills you
For those who are wondering 🤔 💭 this is actually designed for electric cars.
But it had an exhaust
@@DevilMann454 I know because he is making fun of people who drive Teslas...
I’ve seen something like this but not totally dumb. It did have a use. The grounding “cable” keeps a striping truck from exploding… there is no reason in my mind to have this on your personal car..
Bei Fahrtwind hat das Ding sowieso keinen Kontakt zum Boden und die Reifen führen sowieso den Blitz ab.
it's going to suck if a power lines is down in the rain and there's water. there's no hiding in your car for safety. Your tires are keeping you insulated from the electricity. Or the lightning. But if you want to attach a grounding rod to electrify your car, okay.
If you're getting static charge just use some dryer sheets with static guard when you dry your clothes.
They come up with something to sell us every day.
These could be bought back in the 1970’s !
@@PHPW what is the name of it??
@@tommygunn9811 It was sold as an anti static strap to help people who suffered travel sickness. That’s as I recall. I put one on my Ford Anglia back in 1977 !
@@PHPW thanks for educating me,
You solved a non existent problem.
The idea (back in the day) was to ground the car so you wouldn’t get shocked every time you touched the door handle. But you’re supposed to ground the body, not the exhaust 😄
Glaube es einfach, es geht auch so!
If that's what its meant to do the exhaust will ground the body there connected the exhaust connects to the engine and the engine is grounded to the body and the body is grounded by the battery so u make no sense
@@justmudkip2681 Why ground the body through the engine's ground straps? Why not just ground the body at the body? Make sense now?
The point of it is to keep you from getting shocked by static when you grab your car doors handle. I had a rubberized one with a metal tip and i just got so tired of people telling me i had something hanging from the bottom of my car so i took it off. Getting shocked it is.
The car before the one I had now, a 2018 Hyundai I would get shocked ALL THE TIME.. used to make me crazy. I should of got one of those, got a new car instead.. not because of that..
What kind of shitbox are you driving where it shocks you when you touch the door handle? I've never had that happen in my life and driven literally hundreds of cars
@@yusuf-xc2jc Not hundreds for me but 20+ and never experienced this either. God damn Hyundai!
I think tyre have a certain amount of silver in them to help prevent electric charge building up in them!!
That property would also "ground" the car in effect??
Rubber V belts have some amount of silver iced in to help in this regard.
This was planned and executed in the early days of automobiles by the scientists AND engineers.
I wonder what happens when you ground a car, and get struck by lightning.
1) that aint gonna hold a 2 ton car
2) even if it did work what happens when i forget to take it off before driving do i just break it
3) also im no car expert but can't i just put my car on park
That's a joke right? I refuse to believe you're really more stupid than this incredibly stupid video.
Dude……..this isn’t for strapping down a car……….. I can tell you’re not a car expert……that’s supposed to be for S T A T I C E L E C T R I C I T Y. Dunce
Sure, and if you are under a storm, just pray
Глушитель на резиновых опорах надо к кузову цеплять снять краску в место крепления
Wow, you put that on all by yourself....
It add +45hp to your muffler
That's all good but now your car can be stuck by lightning because it is not insolated from ground
That's bull sh*t too my dude. You have millions of volts... that tiny ass gap between the ground and the bottom of your car isn't enough to insulate your vehicle, whether you had tires on it or not lighting will jump that gap. I mean it's already traveled far through sky, what's another foot. In reality, it's the metal panels on your car that keep you safe if your vehicle was struck, it would go through the metal roof around the sides and then to ground. It still may even flatten your tires. It's kinda like that dude wearing a metal suit by a tesla coil... he would literally not be able to to that without that suit I believe... but yeah the suit protects the wearer and safely transfers the electricity to the ground. In a car you're in a metal cage, generally you will be safe.
car tires have been anti static since 70s
I’ll take “things you don’t ever need for your car” for $200
For fuel tanker trucks this is the must
The reflector was a great idea, we wouldn't want anyone running into it.
Makes you invisible to police radar.
God they had these 40 yrs ago when I was a kid they did bugger all then
Becareful how you use God's name
So ...why in my 50 years of driving do I need this dragging thing?...
If lightning strikes your car, you'll know.
OK... like I said 50+ years driving in and out of Arizona & California what a WASTE of TIME & MONEY installing this GADGET 🤪
Like the magnets for your fuel lines...
I haven't seen one of these for at least 3 years
Remember your car isn't grounded so it shouldn't get hit by lightning, but if you decide to add a grounding strap hmmm. 😉
Yup 🧐
Cantbe struck by lightning? Have you seen the truck that was struck? It happen around the first of July..
I've already got anti-static grounding devices on my car.
My mechanic calls them tires.
I WORK WITH AIRCRAFT, FUELING UP A STATIC GROUND STRAP IS NECESSARY HOWEVER VEHICLES DON'T NEED GROUNDING UNLESS YOUR A FUEL TRUCK THEN THEY NEED IT
Why do you need a reflector under the car?
The design is very human and smart!
Good if you're working on gas pipelines reduce the chance of a static shock.
What are the dyno numbers for this?
If lightning strikes or you have power lines on your vehicle it will help!
And get some curb feelers....😎
And how long does that thing stay in contact with the ground? Only till friction melts it away.
Until your car gets struck by lightning and its grounded.
Your car is already grounded you imbecile. Did you not notice there are 4 rubber tires on your car that happen to touch the ( ground ) so it's already " grounded" . I KNOW you're a woke Democrat by your comment.
Lightning finna go crazy
So what happens in a thunderstorm ⛈️🌩️? Do we have to remove it so that there is no connection to the ground? Or not?
These are only functional on buses and semis. Cars are immediately insulated because of TIRES
Thanks. Now if lightning ever strikes my car I have a much higher chance of feeling its full effects because the car is now grounded.
How long you think it'll take before Road friction scrapes it away to the point that it doesn't touch the road anymore and renders it useless? Even worse scenario could be that it break off and crack someone's windshield
They were phased out decades ago, primative technology
Just get a black rubber bungee cord hang it from the axle, its called a ground strap!
The 70s are back
Don't have to worry about your muffler if it's 3 miles back
Gonna buy one of these for my phone.
Why need this one
Yeah, as long as you throw it at the ground, your path will be complete and current will flow.
Proper grounding? What means this?
And the Cars thinks He's a TANKER!!!😁🤣🤣🤣
“Hey here my exhaust come steal it”
Do you know thunder won’t strike cars. Because car is completely isolated by wheel. You just grounded yourself , now lightning has a path to complete the circuit
That thing was nessecary at the 80s. All new cars the past 2 decades have by default anti static system.
My one gave me a good shock the other day.
Forget it and buy rubber floor mats, job done.
Tires - am i a joke to you?
And then it catches on something on the road and like lightning it's gone
It's dangerous where there is a high voltage phase to ground fault near the car,
I used to see that more, it's it really necessary and why, please? Thank you.
I’ve only seen these used in the oil field on welding rigs… why are they selling these to regular people though?
It was used in 90's to ground the speed radar waves.
But now useless for latest optical speed guns and camera systems
Yeah don't worry about the 4 tires grounding your car... lol. How do you delete this video?
Rubber tires grounding?
For what purpose?
The exhaust is hanging in rubbers 🤔
Connected to the engine tho that’s grounded but still the strap doesn’t do anything touching asphalt
Tout ce qui vient de Chine est inutile ! L'exemple est dans la vidéo. 😂
You know your tyres literally do the same thing 🙄
This seems like a terrific idea because now the car isn’t safe from lightning Stricks because there are not just rubber tires on the ground
I was so popular in Poland in 70, and 80. but it's not work
Supposed to be on the car body to prevent static shocks
Never seen a left handed hose clamp🤪
I used to see these on cars years ago and they would run to the back of the radio believe it or not
You know it's illegal in most countries to drag something on the ground from a moving vehicle.
stop this is so unnecessary! No offense meant, but every car has a built-in lightning conductor or a grille in the car body to protect against lightning strikes....
Removes the static
Oh solution thank you I get shock on tundra and I hate it
Bro where did your muffler go?
What is it for ?
What is this used for
Reminds me of the old curb feelers!
1000% sure this wasn't invented in the USA
Every car had it in 90s in Poland :D
Car is grounded without this belt:D
You finally solved the problem after 120 years of multi billion dollar Companies failing CONGRATULATIONS
Nothing like lowering your gas mileage
