I think this was pop really showing he wasn't only sticking to one sound, he had diversity and more to come. He wanted to show people that he was the next 50 IMO. He had big shoes to fill. He was trying to fill them. Obviously if he knew he was going to die, I think he'd of done allot with this album, including diversity, but also probably allot more singles that sound more drill-oriented. I think every song on this album would have been a masterpiece. Clearly he didn't know he was going to die though, so I think that it was supposed to be a more commercialized debut with some bangers, slow jams, and some commercialized ft's for sales. At the same time though, I'm glad that there is so much diversity on this album. While id love to hear allot of drill-oriented songs, realistically the only thing pop has now is replayability due to no new music coming, so, from that aspect, if I am going to be listening to this album 1-2 years from now, then the songs are older all the same, its no different then meet the woo 1 or 2 if I'm trying to catch a vibe. Its all music I've heard before. So I'm glad there is more from him beyond that to listen to. I really love the more spacey-trap vibe that is coming out right now, so I really like the fact that pop gravitated towards that sound on this album as-well. Like I said, allot of vibes to catch with this album, and the others too. In a few years when I look back, ill have some options to choose from.
Violent good way to look at it as far as replayability and diversity in sounds. Definitely not mad at him for exploring. That’s the sign of a great artist. Plus I didn’t even get on the Pop Smoke wave until a couple months after he passed so who am I to even really critique lol.

Not at all those songs are weak compared to Snitchin. Snitchin is the closest to what Pop wanted the album to sound like. Everything else is outsourced.
I have to imagine this album would’ve been way better if Pop was alive, most of the features were awful and ruined it as a whole project. Definitely some heat on the album though.
It's definitely better than I thought the first 35 min or so is really solid. More drill and Brooklyn and UK features should have been on there. A bit less Quavo imo. Toward the end it kind of gets bogged down in ladies tracks. Still I think they did him justice with what they had not like XXX or peep where they're literally trying to monetize every single breath they recorded and the records are bad.
