    This video is useful. Before, my low voltage lights would stop working periodically because of bad connections. However, my crimp connections have been perfectly reliable. It is a little trickier to remove the wire insulation midway along the line if you have multiple lights along the line. A wire stripper won't work, so I used a utility knife. Overall, the Dryconn Dry-Crimp Filled Connectors are a great product that is a major improvement over the flimsy plastic connectors that lighting manufacturers include with their products.

    Question, what's the difference between ds-100 and ds-400 canister and can they be used for 120v AC?

    • @ewingoutdoorsupply
      @ewingoutdoorsupply  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The DS-400 comes pre-filled with DS-300 Sealant. The manufacturer states that they are for use in electrical systems with 30v or less. Thanks for watching!

    It would be exceedingly more helpful to do one in the middle, not at the end. I assume it's a PITA and splicing is involved which is why you didn't show the more important connection type

      Thanks for watching Sharon! The third hole in the connector is for the wire that runs to the next lighting fixture. You would just be connecting together 3 wires rather than 2 to each side. Hope that answers your question.

    I'm looking for a video that would show me how to set the timer on my Hampton Bay Lighting system and everything keeps coming up how to replace Hampton Bay Transformer I have a Hampton Bay Lighting system I need to set my time how do I do it

      Sorry, Todd. That's not a brand that we carry so we do not have any videos on the subject. I think you should be able to find a manual through an online search on your model. The other thing you might do is seek help from Home Depot. Good luck to you!

    Is there a negative and positive wire?

    • @ewingoutdoorsupply
      @ewingoutdoorsupply  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      With a daisy-chain design you can connect either wire to the common or voltage terminal as long as one wire from the fixture is connected to each side. However, If you are using a looped design, then it is important to match the wire polarity at the transformer connection in a loop layout. Thanks for watching!

    Not clear enough, you had all the wires in one hand while holding the canister. Very confusing to follow
