David Shire is truly a magician. A song without ANY words (Also see "Night on Disco Mountain) that can STIll give me chills 45 years later. He quietly helped the Bee Gees big push with the and the HUGE success of both the Movie and Saturday Night Fever album. Disco may have died, but I'm still listening to it. So much good energy in that era. Thanks for posting.
I agree. Shires offerings on the album are fantastic and definitely helped the bee gees and the rest of the soundtrack. I also believe travares didn't get their due on album.
Loved the film, only ever seen it one time!!!!! Got the record though, played it many times back in the day, and this is my favourite track on it. What a cool time it was, glad I lived through it xx.
Same here ....😊 . I was in Michigan, and moved to Las Vegas,NV. when the Saturday Night Fever, came out, and I went out and bought the Saturday Night Fever, album.... and I still have it, to this day..... life was more simpler then....... Time is going by so fast 😐. Bob Newhart, just passed away.... more memories from that time period !
Love this track! Especially the brass!! Special 70's memories....HS grad 75, college 79. What a time it was! Pogo's disco in Wichita KS was the best except for those nasty beer "cocktails"
@@michaelwhitworth2670 Thank you for posting the clip! The craziest thing is this... I was listening to the Saturday Night Fever sound track yesterday and then I come across your clip! The disco gods were at work! I wore out the vinyl record but thanks to I tunes i have it again. Keep up the good work and thanks again.
This is PERFECTION. I stumbled upon this video by accident but am so thankful I did. A beautiful song, and the production value of your Video is absolutely stellar. I have a lump in my throat and am misty eyed as I watch and listen........and yearn for my favorite city in the 70's..... Thank you so much for this
Saturday Night Fever, it's one of the scenes in the movie, also him and Stephanie, had a wonderful scene there.......1977, when that came out..,..😐, where did the time go??

Thanks. It was once.
@@michaelwhitworth2670 What do you mean once ? I think there's more songs about New York isn't there ?
Of course. New York was a much more glamorous city years ago. That's why there are so many songs.
@@michaelwhitworth2670 then what do you mean it was once in your reply ?
As in New York was ONCE a glamorous town.

There is a scene in which Travolta gets out of the Impala and "draws" the bridge with his hand. Where did you get it from?
I found it on TH-cam I think.
