Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I have never been to England! My family and I are going to London for the Christmas holidays! We are so excited 😍 Greetings from Germany😊
Thanks for the comment, appreciate your opinion 😉 Yes, this is one of the options. I did it too, but I personally didn't like the result for many reasons. A longer baking process is necessary for caramelization of the onion, it is very important not only to soften the onion, but also to caramelize it. Raw rice with meat and with a sufficient amount of sauce make the filling more aromatic and rich in taste, rice and meat will absorb the rich tomato sauce and deliver an incredible taste at the end 😉 there should be enough sauce for this variation of the recipe, as we serve the rest of the sauce with onion meat pieces on the plate ✨
Yes this dish is existing in Turkish cuisine as well. Origin of this dish is Middle East. Later through the years it was adapted by various cultures through the Mediterranean, including Turkey and Greece. Greek stuffed onions called Salantourmasi.

Not quite understand your message, but yes, soy sauce is being used worldwide lol
