hello Ann, thank you once again for a thoughtful video. I do understand that once the majority of practical care is sorted through there comes quality time which can prove such a major blessing for loved ones and those battling such prolonged illness. It's so difficult when someone you love and have been with for many years is in a hospital when you are so use to being together. We have alot in common. Hi Ann. The days do seem to blur into one these days. This year is already moving by so fast. I wish it would slow down a bit. Great words of wisdom as always. My biggest fear to me is going into a nursery home and no one coming to visit me and dying alone...so spending as much time as you can with Alphie and giving him those cuddles, I bet he just loves that, keep each days special or write down a little something about Alphie each day to keep close to your heart when that time comes....your wonderful! ❤️
Yesterday was a good day for Alfie although he has the sniffles at the moment. Despite some people not having family, there are staff who go above and beyond the call of duty to help. And yesterday I gave some surplus of Alfie’s cushions and clothes to be washed then passed to a resident who has nobody to visit or make his room like “home” to him. We can all do something to help and hopefully there will be a loving support network for us all when needed. Xo

Marie Yeshulas Hello Marie.. Monday was good and Alfie was in the main sitting room, interacting a little and giving orders 😗🤣. Tuesday I didn't go as I'd promised to go and see Alfie's sister, whose own husband has been diagnosed with "mixed dementia". I really am so thankful for the great care that Alfie is getting (finally) and count our blessings every day. I've bought a 'white noise' box for Alfie which I may take to him today. It's difficult knowing what to take as carers and residents can be a bit heavy handed at times. How are you doing. Dare I ask if all is quiet with those fools... going to hop over to CKCH to see what's up. XoXo
@@Ann65. I'm so glad that alfie is giving orders and interacting! Everyday like that is a positive day😊I figured maybe you were just tired, you do alot of running around. I hope you are taking care of yourself. I know when i get busy i seem to forget about me. I forget to take my medication, i forget to eat..I'm a mess, lol. I have a joke for you ( give you a little chuckle). A red head girl says to her blonde sister " I slept with a Brazilian"!, the blonde looks at her, eyes wide and says,"omg!! You slut! How many is a Brazilian"! 😄I' ll tell you another one tomorrow. I have Dr. Appt. @10am.
