This version of LL should scare the rest of the pros, he has a focus and look of determination he lost for a bit I feel. Blasted onto the scene, got maybe slightly complacent but seems to have locked tf in recently. This was an outrageous performance!
I'm at work gutted I'll be missing it. Will have to have a few extra toilet breaks and keep an eye on it on my phone. Will be home for the final at least
We have to say how great Jermaine Wattimena really is to be there in the first place when top players he beat up. Also how both Luke and Jermaine great together. If there was a Charity doubles for partners from other countries to play together I really think they would be great together.
Luke Littler is a once-in-a-century talent in the sport of darts. Wattimena is probably currently in the form of his life and doesn't stand a chance against this seventeen-year-old boy. I almost felt sorry for Wattimena. But he really has no reason to blame himself. 99% of all players would probably have lost against this performance. The second semi-final was much more evenly matched. It is a real pleasure to watch Gary Anderson play darts. But I also take my hat off to Gian van Veen. He always stayed in the game and waited for his chance. Even though this chance (with the exception of the chance at the 108) was very rare. Without wanting to offend the first two semi-finalists, all eyes will probably be on the second semi-final. But it's absolutely insane that the semi-finals and the final are played on the same day. Especially with these distances. Whoever came up with that, and whoever waved it through, well, it's probably better if I don't say anything more about it... We can only hope that the quality of the final doesn't suffer too much. Especially if both semi-finals go the distance of a very high number of legs.
The format of this tourney seems a bit strange, I guess they want to stick to tradition? It would make more sense to do Q/F race to 12 all four played friday, two semis sat night race to 14, final sunday night race to 16. Also 2 qualifiers from each group should go to opposite sides of the draw so they can only meet again in the final.

Anderson is a quality operator has been for years now but I really want van veen to win a big title soon and believe he will, he’s a brilliant young player and carry’s himself so well I think he deserves it. Semis and final gonna be awesome tho but can’t see anyone stopping the nuke when he’s in this mood.
You see people every now and then who were born to play a sport and Littler is up there with the best of them. Like watching a prime Tiger Woods or Ronnie O'sullivan. Makes everyone else look like amateurs.

Thoughts below: Littler was unstoppable in that match. Jermaine simply had no answer. (Did he have to miss D12 in the same spot though?) 😆 Gary and Gian's match took a while to warm up, but when it did it was really fun to watch. Gian left himself with too much catching up to do in the end. Gary did everything right to keep him at bay. He knew if Gian levelled up the match late on, he'd be under a lot more pressure.
